  • @nickitynack58 no you thought. Tmobile hspa plus is currently the fastest nd att is not goin to get near tht but tmobiles making it hard

  • @mrjlwilliams I get 2 mb to 4 samsung vibrant

  • @mrjlwilliams I get 2 mb to 4

  • this is nothing new people att had it for wut 3 4 years now and att edge is just as fast as tmobile regular 3g it is time for att to stand up and defend them selves because if they wanted to they could hav advertised 4g on hsdpa + 3 years ago this is someting people are ferguting and it angersme dearly!!!!!

  • @nickitynack58 LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

Dude, T-Mobile's EDGE is faster then AT&T's 4G. They didn't even make any tower upgrades when they advertized 4G, I honestly think they did tower downgrades, because people with a AT&T 4G phone get slower speeds then someone with a 3G phone.

Learn your facts, you'll see amazing speeds when AT&T gobbles up T-Mobile, and you get faster then dial-up speeds.

  • T-Mobile was like this for about 2 weeks maybe? I got the same thing a while ago but now im down to under one meg download.

  • man wish i was lucky like you guys to be getting HSPA+ on the vibrant :[

  • iam actually pulling anywhere from 5 to 10 mbps at the moment on 4 bars. . on 5 bars i get well about 10mbps. I am on a Cyanogen 6.1 rc3 T-mobile G2. Heres the video /watch?v=pbdNgUq5ePI

  • No it's true according to this article online on androidandme... T-Mobile currently offers 15 3G devices that can benefit from the advanced speeds, which includes their entire Android lineup. This means your aging G1 could be pulling down faster download speeds than the new EVO 4G if you are lucky to live in one of the 100 markets expected to receive HSPA+. The carrier also plans to sell their first HSPA+ handset later this year.

  • @jozefd14 That is something I knew already...my point was, T-Mobile is by far the best right now..and has more devices that can handle it. ATT says they have the fast network, and more 4G...but they don't have any devices. I'm currently using an HD7 and a MyTouch 4G...they produce the same speeds. I will post a video of that soon....

  • @jozefd14 You misunderstand about older devices benefiting from the + upgrade on the network. The towers bandwidth on the network got upgraded, as well as the + tx/rx capability. Tmo network has underutilized the potential of the 3G tech all along by having a slower tower network connection.

If you have a 802.11G network at your house, upgrading to N does nothing for you unless you get 15Mb cable over your old 3Mb DSL.

  • @P90wn3r well said...

  • Sure, Upgrading to a new + system (think of it as an N router) is faster, but the HSPA (G router) wasn't maxed out because the connection was so slow in the first place. The non + equipment has a max speed of 14Mb under optimal conditions.......I haven't seen it hit 25% of that............. That's Tmobile for you

  • @P90wn3r I get 8mb on MyTouch 4G...but on my HD7, I've gotten about 12mb. Go figure...

  • @mrjlwilliams Thats weird I thought the radio could only handle 7.2mbps

  • @homeboylx he was at 5.1 Mbps (not MBs), as you said the radio can do up to 7.2 max so he was under that. To be honest I have a 4G phone 14.4Mbs and in daily use i only avg 2-3Mbps at best. It doesn't matter whether you see the 3G or 4G icon, the underlying tech is still HSPA/HSPA+ which are pretty identical as far as frquency and signaling. This is why T-mobile and AT&T 4G phones dont use more battery power than their 3G versions whereas Verizon and Sprint 4G phones do.

  • FUCK ME!!!! i get like .20 speed on my mytouch 4g this is crap

  • Why did you do this? WHY?

  • Yeah I just did some more testing and there is no H in the bar but if you look at your phone status under network it says its connected to HSPA, crazy fast speeds for a cell phone.. I like I said I am happy with getting a good 3g connection as that is already fast for a cell phone, watching youtube videos in HD, surfing the net.. there is really no need for anything much more then 5 or 6 MBPS.. But ill take more for free, lol..

  • OK OK..we know the Vibrant is not HSPA+. I made the video, knowing that the title will bring some question. But one thing is for sure, the Vibrant is a much better phone than the G2, and its faster on every speed test like this I've seen on the net. The benchmark test, the G2 is faster though. But, I think most people will like this phone much better. When the MyTouch HD comes out, check out my video on that one next month.

  • @mrjlwilliams although all android phones on t-mobile are backwards compatible with the new network really

  • @jozefd14 That's not true...my MyTouch 4G is great...but all aside, t-mobiles network is much better and faster than anyone else right now. And no one can deny it....

  • I notice a difference in H+ areas but there are only a few on the whole island I did a speed test at the Tmobile store since the guy said his G2 would be faster it turned out to be the same speed as my vibrant, I think his download was 2kb faster but nothing major. So the Vibrant does support H+ but we will not see the H on our bar untill 2.2 update.. if you really want you see it now there is a widget you can get, here in Hawaii you are luckie to get full 3g single..

  • @0nemoa... just a small correction, your vibrant DOES NOT support hspa+ but it does support HSPA... hspa supports upto 7.2mbps while hspa+ (the G2) supports up to 21.1MBPS. G2 so far is t-mobiles first HSPA+ phone and it came out after the vibrant. its also listed on there site.

  • Samsung Vibrant doesn't support HSPA+

  • ...shouldn't there be an H icon? My HD2 with android gets about 9MPBS on HSPA+

  • forget the other carriers and their 4g(3.9g) network, this speed with 3.5g, im getting a t-mobile phone, hspa+ is almost out where i live and the network seems to be faster than sprints 3.9g/4g wimax network. thanks for making this video

  • I have a vibrant and I love it. However it isnt HSPA+ capable :)

  • @Kisame90279 yes it is hspa+ capable, how do you think this guy got this fast speeds

  • I didn't know there were HSPA+ phones out.

  • lol yeah that is pretty fast but the vibrant is not capable of hspa+ the first device that is will be the tmobile g2 the vibrant is only capable of 7.2 hspa

  • thats insane xD cellphone network OWNING mexico fastest "local internet"

  • How is it in California?

  • Not quite HSPA+ speeds, but close.

  • @robotnoize IYO...but everyone else...knows this is the best phone on the market so far. Thanks for watching.

  • ANd I jizzed in my pants. BTW your hand interferes with the connection.

  • I got that here in Tx on my hd2 back in like...1st quarter .. so yeah, its coming guys

  • @letmein53 Can you do a video with the HD2? I have one of those too...and its much slower than this phone.

  • @mrjlwilliams I would if I still had the hd2, it started having problems with freezing and I got rid of it. None of the updates helped it. But the speed was nice while it lasted.

  • wait....HSPA+ is available now?!?

  • @aznhomieboi1689 ya, but you can only really take advantage of it w/ the vibrant, until more hspa+ phones come out

  • @aznhomieboi1689 well their HSPA is however their first official HSPA+ device will be the G2

  • DAMN!

  • lol i live in DC and tmo 3g speeds are not even close to this :( i get 700kpbs if im lucky

  • Getting similar speeds in Jacksonville FL on my Vibrant as well!

  • so that was just your reg 3g speeds??? hmmmm well damn if you going to get an avg of 4mbps on 3g and over that on there wimax then that is pretty slick

  • thats sexy ass hell....tehering ftw

  • @salvaboricua LOL...thanks. my city is getting HSPA+ tomorrow on 7.21.10, so I'm hoping to see some REAL speed increases...

  • is it NY??

  • @superstar123466 I'm in TX...

  • I know that there are different versions for all the major networks, the T-Mobile version is the best version to me. The att version is the ugly one. It looks like a Samsung wave. They really messed up this for att. IMO. The Verizon version is second in my book, because I don't like slide out keyboards.

  • Thats awesome! Tmobile is a great company. I had the liberty of using that phone and it is stunning. Wish I could get it.

  • nice. I wonder how it works on AT&T's network. (They both use GSM cards, right?) I'd love to see a comparison between samsung vibrant on both networks!

  • @linagee On At&t it would only get edge speeds. T-mobile and ATT use different 3g bands. Of course, the captivate is the same phone in a different housing that is offered on att. So you could do a comparative test with those phones instead.

  • And this is why im dropping sprint

  • @tivey1493 LOL do it...do it. lol

  • @tivey1493 lmfao
