@MrBenCaesar They've seen more movies, know more about movies, and are more involved in the movie industry than you will probably ever be. Though I do agree about the music.
these are all in my list! 10. Black Swan 9. Toy Story 3 8. 127 Hours 7. The Kid's Are All Right 6. True Grit 5. The Town 4. Inception 3. Winter's Bone 2. The Social Network 1. The Fighter
True Blood wasn't on here because the show became so mainstream that it jumped the shark. Also Glee since season 2 has been a terrible season since all they have to offer now is special guest stars.
I haven't seen the fighter or true grit, so with that in mind i just wanna say that Black Swan is probably the bet movie thats been released since Inglourious Basterds
@bragladish Um...their picks line up with most critics...and are you kidding me? Black Swan, Inception, Winter's Bone etc.etc. are awesome, and for TV, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead...do you know anything about good TV or movies?
There's a segment of the music that sounds like a re-arrangement of a part of the theme from the Hercules TV show. You know, the one with Kevin Sorbo?
The King's Speech is not an American movie, but if you go on the AFI website, you'll find that they gave it a special award, just like they did with Slumdog Millionaire.
Inception is a commercial hit based on its shitty narrative complexity. It is a crappy heist action movie full of crappy cliches with no creativity or artistic value. TSN is anti-geek, anti-youth, anti-women, anti-new-media, anti-meritocracy and anti-interracial-relationship, and it is more like an autobiographical movie about the TV writer himself and his weaselly inner world. I would call it masturbatory distortion narrative.
@LuisRamirez666 Never heard of "Last Year in Marienbad", have you? If ou want to talk about creativity and artistic quality in a commercial hit about a dream, surrealism, limbo, uncertainty, labyrinth, archetecture etc, you should watch this film first, like Nolan should have done ten years ago.
For "The Kids Are All Right" to be on this list (though a good movie) and not "Shutter Island" or "The Ghost Writer" is a shame. This list was made to encompass a false sense of variety and fairness. What's good is good no matter the genre.
why no Office yeah it has been on for years but in my opinion it is still going strong and what about How to Train Your Dragon that movie was nearly as good as Toy Story 3 in my opinion.
In my opinion, The Town shouldn't be up there (2 1/2 hours I'll never get back), everyone needs to stop kissing Glee's arse and 30 Rock isn't funny. But alas, this is my opinion, please don't bite my head off.
Eww glee

Oh please... True Grit? It was a less than average movie when it came out and this one still is. Surely not a movie worth remaking.

Finally, a good list of 2010's best movies! -and the reason why some obvious choices aren't there is because this is a list of American movies only.
