I wouldn't call this genius. I can't count how many TV ads I've seen that consisted of a haphazardly "creative" plot describing the mysterious inner workings of a brand's marketing team. Who are they talking to? *All* those people who pick up a bag of chips and go home and contemplate its marketing strategy? Is it me or is that kind of egotistical?

I've seen better ads use this angle well enough to get an honest laugh out of me and this was not one of them.

It's in-genius advertising because, prior to this, Doritos had cornered the market on the, for lack of a better term, non beer populations (i.e., soda drinkers, kids, etc.)...Now, while still retaining that population, they infiltrate beer drinkers....brilliant...Plus, the damn ad was so funny, I almost pissed myself!
