Amp is to go for live gigs usb for home recordings (and more and more people implement pc-based soundstations for live gigs too). But if I really had only one choice, than maybe yeah - amp. I think changing the strings would make this guitar sound better. Remember this guitar has been made by electronic giant and not a full time guitar maker like Ibanez or others. They have used all genuine stuff which others may charge you thre or four times more for the same guitar.

My opinion about the IAxe: might be good for beginners, especially if you're not sure if you want to play guitar or not. If you DO * DON"T GET THIS GUITAR!* save up for one half-decent. If you buy this and try to get one that's better ( which you will) it'll cost you more money in the long run.

Yes it's a usb port on the guitar plus the standard jack too, If your serious and are going on to gig ect save up and get a nice fender stratocaster or a nice guitar, as a beginner you can't go wrong they are so playable and have a nice easy action although the usb part is a bit gimmiky. But the sound and action for the money is unrivaled.

The death buzz is due to bad recording quality not the guitar itself. Try putting a video camera's microphone next to an amp (one with good quality) and you will hear the exact same thing.

Listen to that death buzz when she lifts her fingers off the strings ive never seen one and i can tell its iGarbage (at least that model anyways)... get a real electric and get a 1/4 to 1/8 inch converter and plug it into your mic jack... there yah go a real guitar that does the same thing.

Hey lazyboy6825 you have to use the guitar the software wouldn't work it's got an analog to digital converter inside, they are good but don't expect to be able to gig with them but they are worth every penny. And as for death buzz Il have to post a video of mine just to clear things up if you want me to post a demo let me know :-)

Moving her head like that at the end doesn't detract from the fact that she's an awful guitarist either. Actually, yes. If you make custom drivers you could make it work just fine. But of course, most people don't take their stuff beyond the limits they're restricted to, so I guess I understand when you say no.

More like it wouldn't work very well. You could have it recognize some notes as the controller's buttons, but it would be very impractical playing the game that way...

You could instead modify the game to "listen" to what you are playing and assing a puntuation to how closely it ressembles the actual song, but that would be beyond stupid.
