If you ever see an interview of VW and they're asked what inspires them, they always say that a lot of their music is inspired by African music, which is what much of Graceland is inspired by. Paul Simon said so himself in an interview, he mentioned when he met the band, they asked him if he thought they tried to copy from Graceland, and he said no, and that they're just digging from the same well as he did.
