i don't know what fishhead06 from Canada said, but many Europeans are interested cos we simply want Ron Paul. Only Ron Paul can stop the wars and restore freedom worldwide. Our leaders in the European Union largely imitate the US in suppressing freedom. Most erosion of civil liberties finds its origins in the US... eg, the fallacious drug wars, "anti-laundering" legislation, police state tactics, etc...
The Canadian health care program is really nothing to proud of (at least OHIP anyway). OHIP is 1 tiered anyway I don't no why everyone is like oh 1 tiered health care yeah like canada. Your right since when were doctors not allowed to make money
We care about you're elections because you're country effects us. So thats why we care about the elections in you're country. Second you are ignorant of our system.
With a name like Dumbell and the fact that you know nothing about my knowledge of Canada, you should be more careful using the word ignorant to describe me. I know quite a bit about Canada and have traveled there far more than most Americans and probably a lot more than you have visited the US.
First I use this name to bring out the people who have not real argument about what I say and just insult. The heart of what I was saying is that WHAT YOU"RE COUNTRY DOES EFFECTS US SO DO NOT SAY THAT ITS NONE OF OUR BUSINESS BECAUSE IN THE END IT IS!
Ahhh! On this we agree! I do know that the stupid or bright things we do as a country affects you as well as the other way around - This whole thread was started because one of your countrymen said we should not support Ron Paul and that is what I objected too. Ron Paul is our country's best bet to become a better neighbor to Canada and a better citizen to the world - He is our best hope for a sane foreign as well as domestic policy
Believe it or not I am a RON PAUL FAN!:) I just do not agree when it comes to medical care. I think he is necessary in restoring the republic. So good luck to you and keep fighting the good fight.
Second point, I can't have an opinion on the politics of another country? Why the hell not? Are countries private estates about which no outsider can utter a thought? If you wanted to comment on facets of Canadian politics, I'd be honestly delighted to see a level of knowledge of what goes on in Canada on the part of an American. As far as I can tell, most don't even know what kind of system of government we have.
It's a republic, with three separate but equal branches of government" the executive, the legislative, and the judicial. The President is chosen by an Electoral College, whose votes are cast according to the popular vote in each state, the legislative is directly popularly elected, and the judicial a combination of election and legislative appointment. And what kind does Canada have?
In Canada, the government is selected in a round robin tournament of penalty shots. Supreme dictator, Patrick Roy, relinquished his power to sir Stanly's Cup in 1996. The parliament consists of SCtv cast members and matters are decided during skits held at Olympic Stadium. The Canadian Army was featured in the popular Hollywood film The Devil's Brigade. The national bird is the mullet. Say hi to the Queen for me.
Obviously, if people want to circumvent waiting lists for elective surgery, they may choose to go elsewhere. The point is that it is a civic value in Canada that the quality of one's health care should not depend on the size of one's pocketbook. Are there problems in delivery? Absolutely. But they're entirely soluble.
Fish, fish, fish,,, that is such a crock - In Canada as I have already stated, people who need a heart transplant are put at the bottom of the list if they ar older - so if they have money, they come to USA for surgery - don't be so smug - your healthcare system sucks too - Vote Ron Paul!
Lol. Dont be hating Canada swoodtn! Your right, ppl who wants a heart transplant go to the states but only if they have alot of money, or are willing to spend theyre life saving, surgery dont cost anything here. Whats wrong with Canadians following US politics? It affects everyone in the world at this point, noone over here wants another Bush, thats for sure.
I agree sigh - I don't put Canadians down - just fishhead for his arrogance as to think he should tell us how superior your country is on an issue we both have problems with and the fact that he told us who to vote for. He can say he doesn't like a candidate and why - but to tell us how to vote is arrogance usually reserved for the truly French! (just kidding)
Also in Canada, theres alot of ppl that dont want to go to the states for even vacation in case they get injured and cant afford it. Thats a little excessive, but just thought I'd point that out.
