  • Eminent strings (and derivatives like Arp Solina, Crumar strings, etc.) = Best sound ever produced by man.

  • @peter160266 (is this your birthsday?), yes I know :-) I have learned a lot since I asked the question above ;-) I so much look forward to getting my Emi310 - think of it all the time :-)

  • Very nice - is it the Theater or Standard version you have?

    I wan't to buy a 310u myself - however hard to find..

  • @hfugmann It's the standard version, as you can see in the video. The Theathre looks "old" ;-)

  • @hfugmann

Hello Henrik, within some days you are the owner of a full restored Eminent 310 standard!!!!

  • Awesome

  • I've always found it unbelievable how an organ that sounds so conventional and cheesy as it does at 4:52 can also sound as supernaturally impressive and out of this world as it does at 7:20

  • Hi there. Just bought Eminent 1600 Orchestra.....very close sound to 310,..Equinoxe 1 sounds amazing but I need phasing and delay. How do I connect phaser (Behringer Vintage ) to it. I also have guitar effects board (Boss GT3) Can I connect this also.At the back of the organ there is an input and an output and an unusual circular output that I think is outdated now. I would love to get the Jarre phased sound but I am a complete novice when it comes to connections. Any help would be appreciated.

  • @36012v64

On the headphone output of the organ.

  • 1:39 intro we are

    your fruends -justice remix

  • Bravo! What is the keyboard sitting on the Eminent? Looks like an early ARP Pro-Soloist - - but maybe not ? A different brand circa 1972 ? ? Nice Eminent sounds.

  • @FlametopFred Hi, it's a Farfisa Syntorchestra!

  • @AnalogAudio1 - - very cool looking. I have never seen one before and probably it was something never imported to Canada or North America. I just picked up an Eminent 310U over the weekend for free - - looking forward to implementing. Thanks for your video!

  • When you slapped on the rhythm box, it became an Eminent 310 Grand Theatre for a while. ;)

  • Beautiful demo. fav

  • We got our Eminent 310u for free. It was sitting at a garage sale and when they could not make it work they were about to throw it away. When we got home we opened the back and found the original documentation. Thanks to some skillful people in our family we had it back in working order in a matter of days.

  • great sound

  • great! and a syntorchestra on top too :)

  • Great demo! Is sus on the strings registration only function for this especially release or is it extra layer and can be played independent from 8' and 4'(stand alone)? Does it functions for 4' too? This makes Equinoxe 1 so magical :) Reagrds! I make JMJ cover-replicas too :)

  • @chrisbern75 OK, I saw it on 1:56 They is only Sus button without 8 and 4 :)

  • @chrisbern75 thanks... the sustain button can a 8' string sound with long sustain. You can add it to 8' or to4'. But it sounds always in 8'. Of course you can play it alone too, like JMJ did. On Equinoxe 1 it was 8' string + sustain.

  • Hello,

The first Eminent 310 unique is built earlier than 1972.

I know that series: 74 no: 57987 is built in december 1971. I am sure of this date because there is an date inscription inside the organ. It is well know that Eminent factory puts date inscriptions in the beginning of the E310. This was the first version. There are 3(!) different chassis versions from the Eminent 310unique standard (3 different fronts between the keys and pedals.

    kind regards, Peter

  • @peter160266 thanks for the info, I thought it came out 1972...

  • the cosmic synth-organ!!!! wonderfull!!!! no existe nada igual!!!

  • Greeeeaaaat! ;-)

  • One of the very best organs ever made.

  • Sick !

I might have an option on the string section (incl. reverb and orbitone chorus) of one of these :)

I dream of playing THAT string sound. And I will, some day.

  • Lovely! I have an option on one of these :-)

  • Great demo! I thing this is the first eminent demo in the world whit other sounds as only strings. Thank you :)

  • Nice sounds, analog rules,in some way it provokes emotions in contrary to digital organs/synths,it must be the imperfections sonically or the rich overtones, digital sounds to processed.Simple analog discrete amplifiers do the same,it makes emotions come out.

  • Gran demos. Gracias.

    ACS.

  • Excellent. I have never heard or seen one before . Very Warm sound. Verb sounds great too. Thanks for this :-)

  • I got my 310 in 2003 for 200€ :) Lovely sounds despite its massive structure ;) Too bad that my house doesn´t have a lift :P ...

  • @JMJarvinenStudio :

    200 € ? Lucky you ;)

  • The eminent sounds fantastic, even better when run through the phaser end electric mistress pedals,

easily the weapon of choice when it comes to strings synths

quite ironic that 37 years after it was released nothing sill comes close to it.

  • I love this Sound from Eminent 310U,fanthastic!

  • It looks really large. How heavy is it?

  • I think 80-100 kg?

  • Oh God! That's heavy! So it cannot be lifted by my self?

  • forget it! We were three and it was a disaster to lift it on the stairs into my flat.

  • Well.. I guess I will need a forklift or crane or something..:D:D

  • Can you tell me how large is it? (approx.)

  • I think something like 110 cm x 100 cm...

  • Reminds me of the built-in string sounds on EMU8000-based synthesizers (I used to have a Sound Blaster AWE64 which has the same excellent wavetable chip used in the EMU Emulator).

  • yeah, I love this organ/string machine with the small stone pedal

    very early Jean Michel Jarre

    an idea/suggestion:

could you play some Kate Bush's songs on it?

  • pd: I'm a big fan of both artists

  • Some of the Elka organs can also do phasing on most of their voices. I have an Elka EP-8 that is pretty good for playing JMJ music.

  • i want this machine badly, you know that?!!

    anyway, GREAT demo thanks!!

  • thanks...

Danke!

  • danke für die Blumen...

  • I am very impressed on the string sounds, the looks of this great early 70's sinthesizer organ! And not just that, the realtime controls kicks out most of the now-a-days keyboards. Here where i live is very hard to encounter these stuff.

  • That is a great machine and Great demo!!!

  • thanks... :-)

  • Wundervoller Sound!

  • I could only stand the first 25 seconds. YABD (Yet Another Boring Demo)

  • Comment removed

  • Well, if you designed an emulation of the machine, as I did, this kind of demo is invaluable, specially if you don't the real thing, you idiot.

  • This is a demonstration of the Eminent 310 organ - not an action movie! For people who are interested in this instrument, it's not boring - it shows the possibilities.

  • Exactly! Thanks for the demo, AnalogAudio1

  • Nice Demo !

  • thanks...

  • I love that sound!
