Just sent this to my sister. She grew up in Victoria B.C. She says "OMG – That brought back memories.......... I have that album.........they were the very first LIVE band I saw. They did a lunch hour concert at UVIC one afternoon – I think I was in grade 9 - so half of MT.Doug went up to see them"
Hi, I'm a longtime Collectors fan from the beginning. You mentioned their connection to the Electric Prunes, be sure to listen to Mass in F Minor and you will hear them.
Saw them in Seattle in the day. What can I say? What a memorable talent in a time when Rock could be defined by flute players, saxophones, and fiddles and so much experimentation. Thanks to all who bring back these long forgotten memories of this most amazing group.
I still have an old LP, full of scratches and full of memories. This is brilliant music, its art. Especially the other side of the LP, called What Love (Suite), that takes 19 minutes.
Thank you so much!!!! New to youtube. The last time I heard this song WAS in 1968, and as I recall I was in a very altered state. It was an experience that touched my soul and changed my path to take me to where I am today.
I bought this album in 74 just by looking at the cover. When I played it (especially the Love Suite) it never left my turntable. The saxophone solo in the middle is excellent !

@Musicxpert I have 1000 lps from this era, some still shrinked packed away in WB boxes.
I have all labels as I would trade record stores for my WB stuff...I worked the shrink wrap machine too.
zbestwun2001 1 year ago
I shipped these when I was working at WB Records in the late 60'a in Burbank while going to college.

Wow, brings back (lack of ) memories. This album is in my pal's attic, yellowed jacket, well used. I did NOT know they became Chilliwack.
Gonna see if we can get a turntable and play the
full side of what love suite for old times sake.
Thanks, HOTB !

I think artwork has been really influential over the years, now downloads are becoming more popular I think much of that is being lost and forgotten.

In Holland the pirate-station Veronica used the saxophone from What Love in the last hour before they must stop!
Also Dusty Springfields "Summer is over"
played in that last hour.
We write 31 august 1974.

It's in my memory also. The saxsolo was also the tune for Veronica's night radio.
Just brilliant.
