  • Man it hurts a lot. I'm hoping 1 day Vikings will get it right and end the curse. The 2010 NFC Championship game about killed me. Wilf's need to sell the team or get better management. Time to cut the scrubs and get whoever while AP,Allen,Greenway, and Harvin still got anything.

  • Confusing typo -- Super Bowl XXVI (not XVI as written) was played in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. The listed date (January 26th, 1992) is correct, however

  • My heart hurts.

  • earlier last year...i told a friend of mine that the viking should trade adrian peterson for a bunch of draft picks just like the cowboys did with hershal walker. he thought i was crazy. i said the that the vikings keep giving there picks away for guys like moss, rosenfels..and so forth. thats why the patriots have been so good for so long, they keep trading down for more picks...that is formula is that the viks need to emulate

  • awesome video...thanks ...sadvikingsfan76 for making my case that the viking are the most cursed team in the nfl

  • who is the most hardluck team in the nfl? it comes down to the vikings and the bills! And i say its the VIKINGS!! no doubt......from a viking fan now living in honolulu

  • The wrong way run? You do realize that the Vikings still won that game don't you? In fact, who was the player who forced a critical fumble that enabled the Vikings to win? That's right, Jim Marshall.

  • Metrodome roof, Farve sex scandal, Moss returning to the team then leaving, the "loveboat"... yup, the list goes on

  • Korey Stinger & The Metrodome Roof caving in?

  • Well at least when I play madden 12 I get excited when they win a superbowl! Just imagine if they won a superbowl in real life I would Jizz my pants lol

  • :( the saints ugh I hate the saints I hate them so much don't even know what to say!! PISSED

  • Don't worry you guys will win one eventually. I have to endure the bucs not making the playoffs 4 years in a f**king row.

  • I feel horrible for you guys. When my Buccaneers won the super bowl I was overjoyed. Don't

worry you guys will win one eventually.

  • @razormc954 thx dude i hope you are right

  • Vikings aren't cursed...they've just done incredibly dumb things time and time again. What do you expect when you single cover Drew Pearson(on the preceding 4th + 25 and then the 'Hail Mary'), not once, but two times in a row?! On and on, year after year. Hey but good job on your idea, the musical choice and the photo montage!

  • If the aints can win one, anybody can win one.

  • GO PACK GO!!!!

  • @cd0423 FUCK YOU.

  • @cambadass 'least the Pack have got rings....Vikes ain't got SQUAT!

  • @saibottobias100 WE WILL SOME DAY I PROMISE THAT.

  • @saibottobias100 Very Brewers/Twins like...good job brah

  • Ya and today guess who announced the game stupid fxcking Aikman. He always gloats about how he won those super bowls but he never mentions that they did it because of the hershall walker trade. Oh and you know how we got screwed over on bad calls in the new orleans game well the atlanta game in 1998 when we were 15-1 had many bad calls. We were so unbeleiveably stacked that year with Randle Cunningham, John Randle, Robert Smith, Chris Carter, Rookie Randy Moss, Jake Reed...

  • Let's go Vikes!! Were gonna get a SB win soon we signed A.P for 7 years with a little help (like a decent passing game) he's gonna get us our first SB win.... hopefully. and btw I don't even live in Minnesota but I'm just a huge Vikings fan and always will be... I live in Philladelphia, Pennsylvania, but fuck the Eagles and Steelers... Vikings for life!! Thanks for posting this video though I learned some stuff that I didn't know from it I only wish we could of got Ray Lewis cuz he is a beast a

  • The curse continues... 0-3 after three double-digit halftime leads. Soon the nightmare may be over if only because they will not get the stadium and will be sold to one of the LA groups.

  • @GVike the people at LA said Minnesota would be at the VERY bottem of the list of being sent there they said that the people at the top is jags

  • ...too much is made about Jim Marshall's "wrong way run"...whats never mentioned is the fact that the Vikings still won the game over the 49ers.

  • At 2:30, it should say XXVI instead of XVI.

  • Damn vikes...i love yall but damn 4 superbowls ?

    wow

  • you forgot...Mossy Cade and the boat rides.

  • And then after Brett throws the interception that pretty much ends the season for Minnesota, the next year, he fails and to add insult to the terrible season, the roof of the Metrodome collapses ending the season for the Stadium forcing the Vikings to play the home games elsewhere. Now that it's re inflated and the Vikings got Christian Ponder, how do you think your (cursed) team will do?

  • My dad grew up in minnesota, he was a huge vikings fan in the 70s 80s and 90s.

He even met the great fran tarkenton

  • YOUR TEARS OF ANGUISH SUSTAIN ME. GO PACK!

  • And Karma's a bitch who will mockingly laugh at you as you depart your putrid bag of bones and descend into PURPLE HELL for all eternity! ;)

  • SKOL

  • After a night of heavy drinking and watching the Twins lose. I wanted to reflect back on how Minnesota teams REALLY SUCK. This video helped me. GOD, I hope eventually we win a Super Bowl, maybe even a few... Ohhh wait thats the Minnesotan talking, or the beer, just give us one, one, and a victory from the Twins in the World Series or the Wolves in the Finals. Is that to much to ask? Yes, it's way to much to ask. Just before the Vikings move to L.A. can they win one, just one for Minnesota?

  • Start playing outside again, and we WILL go back to Super Bowls. The Dome destroyed us........ 4 SB's WHILE PLAYING at the Met in 20 years, ZERO at the dome in 30 years!!

  • @fluxerflixer1 ahhaha yeah thats it. Hearing these lame ass excuses really brings me back to the bad old days when I was a Vikings fan. I made a few of them myself I am sorry to say.

  • lol after watching this i have a feeling mcnabb is going to be your team's qb next year.. just so you can go to the nfc championship and have him fuck it all up.

  • @FireChidori lol

  • I am totally convinced that the Vikings will NEVER, EVER win a championship!

  • At least for me, ( an old time fan ) the two most tragic events in Vikinhgs history: **Not signing Joe Kapp. They were poised to win a couple of SB's.Just about every player was in their prime....except Marshall, who had'nt reached it yet.

**The Brent McClanahan fumble in SB XI. Here they where, ready to take the lead for the 1st time in all their SB' appearances..........and disaster strikes. ....this just can't be normal !!!

  • I still remember last years interception. It was like a dagger, I nearly fucking cried. That was our year, everything worked out so well for us. I don't understand why the Vikings have to choke everything away every fucking time they are close to something.

However, with Frazier, I believe we will get something done. I really trust him, and I think he will make the right choices. Him hiring a completely new staff was an incredible idea, and I really think he will bring us a SB in a few years.

  • What about the 2005 draft where the vikings drafted Troy Williamson then Erasmus James instead of Aaron Rodgers. Then in 2006 they trade multiple draft picks to get Tarvaris Jackson in the 2nd round. There was drafting Michael Bennett in the first round instead of Drew Brees in 2001, 2008 drafting Tyrell Johnson and John David Booty with their first 2 selections, hiring Brad Childress, hiring Lezlie Frazier, metrodome collapses, Minnetonka boat ride, Whizzinator, at least one arrest a year.

  • ......go packers.......

  • Why did you bring up the Herschel Walker trade? Thats fucking COLD!!!

  • @shawn3975

At the time, the Herchel Walker trade was the absolute , right thing to do. The team had everything except a RB. They went out an got the best one available. Yoou have to give Mike Lyn and the Viking brass credit here.

  • @6400az OMFG YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT!!! Look at what they gave up for him, the Cowboys won three superbowls in four years on the strength of that trade. Vikings fans are so fucking hopeless. This is why I am a Bears fan now. I still live in Minnesota though, ill never change that.

Good luck with your rookie quarterback, I just pray he doesnt fumble as much as Culpecker did year after year after year.

  • @6400az You know what I am still shocked by what you just said. You just have to be fucking with me right? How could you be so fucking stupid to think that giving up all those players and draft picks for one guy was the absolute right thing to do? It has to be the worst decisions sence Decca Recored rejected the Beatles. Really I am still in awe here, your comment will stay with me a long time friend as a reminder of a good choice I made in my life last year.

    Go Bears!!!

  • @shawn3975

The only choice that'll help you is checking into rehab friend. Maybe that explains your vulgar nature .You apologize immediately.. THEN I'll talk to you.

  • @6400az Well I am sorry for going on like that but come on you walked right into that one.

  • @6400az You know I actually feel sorry for you. It is nice to know the Queens still have some die hard fans though. Personally I wish they would have moved to LA. They are an embarrassment to this state.

  • I am currently reading "Now I can Die In Peace" by Bill Simmons. Its so funny that book basically sums up my feelings about the Vikings, how he talked about how the Red Sox blew so many chances before winning it. Only the Vikes still haven't won. No teams in history blew so many chances. I know Cubs fans suffer too, but Vikings fans are the most tortured. Gary Anderson miss, Cardinals last second TD, Favre INT when we were the better team. Cubs dont lose like the Vikes do.

  • jeez im only 13 i knew the super bowls "the miss" favres terible throw but this is cruel punishment!

  • Lets hope Leslie Fraizer can build this team back up. Lets also hope we get a good quarterback in the upcoming draft.

  • Truly unbelivable how things have transpired for the Vikings in their history.

It's like watching a Gilligan's Island episode. Both get close but , always manage to come up short of their goal.....

  • these moments will never stop haunting me

  • Two games not mentioned, but equaly devastating. The 1970 1st round playoff loss to the 49ners. The Christmas Day playoff loss to the Cowboys the following year. Both years they had monster teams, basically the same team as their 69' SB IV team. EXCEPT :Joe Kapp was'nt there. Oh was he missed!! The Vikings best chances to win a SB was in 69' 70' 71' and possibly 72'.

After that, they where still good, but they where now light and long on the tooth. They then morphed into a finess type of team.

  • a minor correction at 2:27... Super Bowl XVI was played at the Silverdome, not the Metrodome. I think you forgot to add an x there

  • a minor correction at 2:27... Super Bowl XVI was played at the Silverdome, not the Metrodome

  • When the Saints win a Superbowl b4 you do, you know you got problems :-(

  • one year, we will win.

  • i love the vikings. i hope they never leave.

  • @yankobutt I thought Robert Lee was the Vikes back up back then.

  • Two equally devastating losses, that get very little attention.

The 1970 loss to the 49ers 17-14. The Vikings were again favored, they had a California team right where they wanted them....in frigid Metropolitan stadium. That;s the game whee Kapps' absence was beyond noticeable. The following year, also at the Met, they lose to underdog Dallas..........on Christmas Day of all days !!

  • the two that will never stop hauntng me is 1998 vs the falcons and last year vs the saints. shoulda won both :((

  • There is no curse, the vikings are haunted.

  • the worst part, i offered zygi my services and he turned me down.

  • @mikeflorence31 What do u mean by that?

  • Add Brettt Favre hangs up his cleats, pulls his pants on the ground and takes a pee on the Viking fans!

  • @dallas5sb Not so fast. Looks like he's coming back for another go around. I predicted he would when the rumor first came out.

  • The one thing I don't agree on in this video is the indictment on Favre about the interception. The primary reason we lost that game was AP's fumbles pure and simple. If AP hadn't fumbled as much as he did that interception wouldn't have mattered because we would've been beating the Aints by 2 TD by that point.

  • @VANEMOUS Ok AD did have 3 fumbles but nevertheless the vikes could have won the game but Number 4 made a poor decision.

  • i hope to god its over! the vikings r going the way of the colts now! multiple playoff entries and were quickly taken out, get to the conference championship, lose, then go to the dance and win! i hope it ends that way with the vikes! this year should guarentee a super bowl if favre comes back (which he will)!

  • I'd have to look up the draft results, but the Tarkenton trade to the Giants actually helped pave the way for the Glory Years, given how Jim Finks brilliantly spent the draft picks they received. It was kind of the Herschel Walker trade of its time.

Probably the five worst moments/incidents are: 1) Hail Mary. 2) Super Bowl IV loss (that was the one they could have won. 3) 1998 NFC championship. 4) Herschel Walker trade and outcome. 5) 2009 NFC championship.

But hell, there's SO much more.

  • I'm a Saints fan, but I deeply respect the Vikings for how great they played during the 09-10 season. I personally have nothing against the Vikings (if anything, I respect them), but I definitely feel your pain. The Saints were that way since the team first debuted. Every my team went to the playoffs (if they were lucky enough), they'd get crushed.

In fact, in 2000, the Vikings eliminated us 34 - 16. In 1987, Vikings destroyed us 44-10.

You guys played great. The Colts did great, too.

  • @Parahdoks92 yeah thanks man super sad to watch this we could have won 9 superbowls

  • Maybe someday we can finally have that Browns-Vikings Super Bowl that will precipitate the end of the world!!!

  • The main reason is that they have lacked one facet of the game each time they've had great teams. Look at their point output in the Super Bowls? There is the 'luck" factor of playing your best game. Their offense played poorly in the big games. The most points scored was 14? In the last 35 years, they've had alot of great offenses but the defenses haven't been that strong. If your team can get homefield again, they will win it all. How did you lose at Chicago when you had homefield?

  • Wow, what a video!

It really really really sucks to be a Viking fan.

  • @elcucuyfeo Well the Vikings are winners, no question. I believe they are in the top 6 alltime in winning pct. A championship will come sooner or later. I believe its been 26 playoff seasons for the Vikings now, you are due.

  • @dallas5sb , That's easy to say when we have five trophies sitting in valley Ranch. How many do the Vikings have? Always the bridesmaids, never the bride. I really feel bad for the Vikings, considering part of their misfortune came from us. Just looking at that video is so soul sapping i cant watch it again.

Yeah they are due, But if wishes were horses we'd all be eating steak!

Untill they win the big game they will always be the "never were's" and "could have been"

    Look at Dan Marino.

  • To answer your question, will the Vikings curse ever end? The answer is, no. Not as long as their known as the Minnesota Vikings. When they move to LA in a few years, I bet they win a SuperBowl within the first 5 years of being out there. It's hard to be a Minnesota Football fan, I know. They really are the Chicago Cubs of Football.

  • well the Vikings are not alone, it could be worse, the Buffalo Bills lost 4 straight Super Bowls, meanwhile the Vikings lost 4 Super Bowls in a 7 year span, from 1969 to 1976

  • the one team that should have a trophy but doesnt and the reason is that we never have had a great coach and a great quarterback at the same time to win it all. Brad Childress is ok and did help us become a decent team but we need that next level coach if we are to ever see the Lombardi Trophy in the hands of the Vikings. Until we can figure out who's going to be are quarterback and who's going to be the coach to bring us to the Championship we will never see the curse reversed. Skol Vikings!

  • 16 year fan now i saw the miss broke my heart

this year championship destroyed my thoughts of winning it all

  • I'm an optimistic vikings fan!! I beleive you have to be in ordrer to keep some sanity in cheering for this team. I wanted to kick Red mccombs in the balls for trading Randy Moss. We ended up getting Troy Williamson who was as fast as Moss, but with no hands to catch a consistant pass. I feel that if the New Orleans Saints can win it all, we can too!! It was rumored they had a curse too! Look at all the years they did'nt even make the playoffs! Now they're world champions! Lets drive for SB XLV!

  • @poeticjigga that's the spirit! Skol Vikings! been a fan for 45 yrs! :o)

  • @BigMoInAZ 45 years? Wow. That's a long time. You must remember all of these events then. Or atleast most of them.

  • 25 years for me now, it all hurts but then again, there is always next year, as always! Why Peterson can't hold on to the Football is beyond me? The interception didn't help either!

  • The Ray Lewis miss is misleading. Yeah we missed on not drafting him, but so did 9 other teams after us. We picked 16th, Ray was drafted 26. The Ravens second pick of the first round. Their first.....Jonathen Odgen. Pretty darn good first round if you ask me.

  • go saints

  • The 3 pays that screwed us over was the bull shit pass interfernce call, they shouldn't have got the first down on the 4th down play, and also that dropped catch.

Y cant we win the big game? We had almost a perfect team!

  • "McNabb hired to push wheel chaired bound Favre around in retirement home..." more "McNabb hired to push wheel chaired bound Favre around in retirement home , Warner will Console both elderly football players

  • SKOL VIKINGS

  • I feel your pain! I remember all of these tragic events, except for the 1st Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs. When Favre brought the Vikes near field goal range it really felt like we had this one won. I can't believe he threw that interception when it seemed like he could have picked up the needed yardage by running straight a little. Favre was really great this year and we wouldn't have been in the Championship game without him. Oh well, The curse lives on!
  • @dmacnic Agreed. The entire team lost the game yesterday. Favre shoulders some of the blame, but the Vikings probably wouldn't have even made the playoffs without him. I hope he sticks around for another year, but I guess we won't know until August.

Another off season begins and another 6 months of thinking about "What might have been." This is a routine we Vikings fans know all too well.

    WILL THE CURSE EVER END?

  • @SadVikingsfan76 yea could of done without those turnovers and coulda done without the lame officials to go vikes saints are done bad bad karma for them

  • @dmacnic 12 men in the huddle is what killed us.

  • @dmacnic I believe the vikes are cursed too. The thing is before favre threw that pick they got flaged for 12 men in the huddle. if they never got that penalty they could just ran it to get closer to kick it. who the hell was that 12th man anyway?

  • @dmacnic No such thing as a curse, but in the mind, defeat it!

  • @dmacnic If the vikes had home field advantage two years ago they would have won the superbowl. They were the best team that year except the saints had a dominate home field advantage. Then add katrina on top of everything and no way the saints were going to lose that game to go to the super bowl. I'm not saying it was fixed but many calls went in favor of the saints. That vikes team would have been their best one to compete in a super bowl.

  • @dmacnic I don't know if it's just me because I have seen so many collapses but once Favre rolled out to the right I though shit, across the body throw for an int...

  • i agree with ya, unreal
