Actually, if you put PGA golfers' swings through the geometric planar test (setting up the planes of a golf swing, etc.) you'll realize that Tiger's swing in reference to correct geometrical positioning (I'm not saying there's only one way to swing a club though) it's flawless. He really does have one of the most perfect swings in golf.

IMO. Its nothing like hogan. What would you say is similar? Hogan released low and left and tiger is making a DTL release. Also hogan layed the club off alot more at the top.

Hogan's swing was flatter yes, but that's because he was 5'7". Tiger swings so much more around his body now than compared to years ago. Hogan released more left because his swing was flatter..but in my opinion, its the same fundamentals in both swings.

Yeah maybe thats why hogan was slightly flatter. But still hogan layed the club off so much at the top. Also hogans swing is alot more pivot driven and his release is driven by the pivot. I wouldn't say the fundamentals are the same. HOWEVER.. i would say they are both as good as eachothers. If tiger didn't sling it down the line as much with his driver i think he could get to hogans level of ballstriking.

you have to understand that tiger's swing is built upon being able to manipulate the release with ease to create every type of shot needed for any golf course. hogan's swing became more of an attempt at not hooking and not so much on shotmaking.
