I tripped over a video of you critiquing Eddie Vedder's Ukulele Songs and was so impressed by your work/critique I looked you up. We obviously do not have the same musical taste's for the most part (however I did find Josh T Pearson's album to be extremely moving) but I did want to tell you, YOU ARE GREAT! This is the first time I have ever taken the time to comment on a youtube video, but I felt it really important to let you know. I expect to see you with your own show at some point!
I don't have a top 10 worked out but I think my favourite album this year was probably the new Trollfest album "En Kvest for deb Hellige Gral". Very awesome flamenco inspired folk metal album.
I HATE how the indie crowd ignored Thursday's No Devolution. Its such a stellar release, I only listen to every now and then cause its a lot to "digest" for me.
OK I will listen to that Danny Brown record again (didnt like it on the 1st listen), Three you gotta check out Tech N9ne, I think both of his albums this year (All 6s & 7s, Welcome To Strangeland) were great XD
@starwarriorman - So proud that those guys are British. Most bands over here still wanna sound like the Strokes. It's pretty tiresome. Very few bands make music from the heart. I'd say America are ahead of us atm, which is a sad, sad thing (no offence, transatlantic cousins ;) )
1. Veronica Falls - Veronica Falls 2. Sudden Fiction - Dan Michaelson 3. The English Riviera - Metronomy 4. Burst Apart - The Antlers 5. Henge Beat - Total Control 6. Dropped Pianos - Tim Hecker 7. Last Of The Country Gentlemen - Josh T Pearson 8. Helplessness Blues - Fleet Foxes 9. Pleasure - Pure X 10. Gracious Tide, Take Me Home - Lanterns On The Lake That list took 2 hours.
Have you heard of Jamie T? He is current and has two albums so far, both of which are amazing. He has been my favorite male solo artist for almost three years. Every song on his albums, every single, and even every collab he has ever done has been absolutely brilliant. I can (and have) listened to his albums over and over without ever getting tired of any of it. The lyrics are fantastic, as is the sound. Please check out his music if you haven't already!
My Top Ten albums would be -Sepalcure (self titled) -Days by Reall Estate -Looping State of Mind by The Field -David Comes to Life by Fucked Up -XXX by Danny Brown -Hurry Up were dreaming by M83 -The Year of Hibernation by Youth Lagoon -Humor Risk by Cass McCombs -If You're Young by The Static Jacks -The Octopus by Amplifier This is in No particular order. The Strokes - Angles - I always find a way to love TS
Art Brut - Brilliant! Tragic! - really, check them out
Limp Bizkit - Gold Cobra - return of the year

I'm gonna make a top 12 list within the next month or so & I'll make it a video response to this.

@maalbe987 On second thought I'll just send it to you. I think I'll make it a response to RIO!B's video since that'll probably get more views.
