With the Ripped DVD thing, Its strange that it didnt rip it into a format you could use. What Ripper do you have?
On Xilisoft DVD Ripper Platinum, you can choose what format to rip it to.
There is a few rippers out there, but i think Xilisoft is one of the most reliable.
