  • I love the size of the slates I did a mansion in the States and found this kinf of slates just want to see the hip and ridge set up. I did mine with a piece of aluminum because of the budget but want to see your termination.

  • ???????????NOT DONE CORRECT

  • wow it is a hard job, that's good I can just go and get rocks to build my own home, do not spent ton of money, this is a good idea

  • Do you still use sheeps ribs for pegs, any comment welcome

  • respect for giving it a go, i do yorkshire stone roofs, they shouldnt be nailed but pegged and sat behind a batten, thats the traditional method, ur nailing them but the weight of the slate to the nail, its likely they will come off..

  • just a question.. shouldnt it be airflow between the slates and the covering in the bottome? im norwegian thats how we do it here...

  • pretty average.Suss the job first,dumbos.

  • Good video, far removed from the type of roofs we put on down here. The slates are like doorsteps compared to the welsh slates used in this area, they probably would'nt last one of your winters

  • Yes some of the slates are huge and on sheds you can find ones 3 feet by 4 feet. The guy doing this roof is learning as he is going on, in the video he changes the way he measures the distances umpteen times bofore he finds a method he is happy with, the roof is looking good now and he does it quite differently from when he started it. It is interesting to see it coming on.
