Agreed, JKD is just a money making scheme, with bruce lee as the marketing poster. Idiots actually buy this shit and think it'll help defend them, when in reality it won't. People think it's a style that looks like what he did in Films while it's more of a philosophy of ideas, not a martial art system that Vunak, Inosanto and other money making schemers are trying to do.

If JKD was a working style why doesn't it work in MMA? Tony Valente practically backed that idea up.

All of Bruce lee original students use Bruce lee as a marketing tool, when you really think about it when the truth is nobody but Bruce knew what Jkd was, every one else has only bits and pieces and they all seem to teach things differently,and each claims they have the truth when acutually all of them has the truth,but not the whole truth only Bruce has that and he took that with him to the grave,so in a wierd twisted way every one teaching Jkd don't really know it completely.

It isn't. It really is Bruce's philosophies. But some morons take it literally while others take it in an abstract. For the most part people think it looks like what he does in films, or what Video game fighter, Marshal Law does. Therfor, no one should even be TEACHING JKD since it's not even an art!!!

I so agree with you, I'm not trying to suck up or anything but it makes sense now. I've always wanted to be like Bruce and i even got The Tao of JKD, its an amazing book, then out of no where people are saying Jeet Kune Do is a way of fighting and i tend to disagree, But your video makes people realize their wrong. jkd is just a name. jkd should not be locked in the past as a crystalization. nor is it a concept. you nor i or anyone else know's what direction bruce lee was taking it. so it's wrong to turn it into a style crystalization and it's also not a concept. you see only bruce lee knew anyone else has only bit's and piece's to the puzzle.

I agree whole heartedly that the BS must stop. But my video was not about what is or isn't JKD it was about what type of person Todd Keuneke is. If you were reffering to my other video, showing people who claim to be doing JKD, then it proves people out there are twisting Bruce Lee's teachings to conform to their ideology. I agree its sad that we have to cling to the name, but Bruce Lee didn't plan to die, and some people what Bruce Lee to be remembered for what he achieved.
