I just recently discovered Brian Regan while looking for standup on Netflix. I'm sick with a bad cold, and watching his comedy is helping to make it more bearable. I think he's usually a lot funnier than in this clip. Try watching his "The Epitome of Hyperbole" and "Standing Up" shows. BTW, I love that he can be so funny without resorting to jokes about sex, drugs, etc. It's not that I'm a prude, believe me -- it's just that those subjects get really old and don't require a lot of creativity.

@johnniesimpson i said hi today, did i steal from the guy who invented hello? is it not in the realm of possibility for you that two comedians can think of similar jokes involving a situation that everyone experiences at some point? i've been watching every standup i can get my hands on for 10 years and i see different comedians use the same jokes all the time but slightly differently, sometimes exactly the same, but its innocent because they're just things everyone thinks about all the time

@johnniesimpson All comics have similar material. I've seen about 10+ acts who talk about the same situations and I can't tell you enough, how they all sound too similar. But there's no way they would get to where they are if they all just copied Louis CK. Broaden your horizons and watch other comics, you may even find someone Louis CK "copied"
