  • if McGeezer was a smart man i have 2 choices for his v.p. 1. former congressman j.c. watts of oklahoma. it would be a ballsy choice, might even take away black religious leaders and their congregations from obama. 2nd choice. illena ros-lehtinen of florida. independent-minded, a woman who might syphon off hillary supporters,and hispanic who seem to be supporting obama(at the moment).

  • I dont know who Mike Huckabee would turn off as he is the most likeable guy on the circuit. The only people who would be turned off are radical left wingers who would never vote McCain. Republicans LOVE Huckabee. He is going to be the nominee in 2012!

  • if McCain is smart he'd pick charlie crist.. it would basically wrap up Florida in his favor, not to mention he has a very high approval rating in general

  • McCain is a maverick, one of the things we like about him. He is smart, he will pick Huckabee. Huck has a huge grassroot following and if this lady thinks Huckabee turns people off, she is crazy. Everyone loves Huckabee, even democrats love his man. He has shown us he has the strength, determination, and experience to step up to the plate today and be president. He has the ability to excite the people. The media is so out of touch with the ordinary people that I feel sorry for them....

  • IMO the question is does he pick a conservative to get the base to turn out in force, or does he pick someone to draw more moderates to him. IMO BO will be a strong favorite to beat MC; MC needs to take a real chance on the VP nom and pick someone that will draw votes away from BO. Lieberman and Rice both fit the bill. Both would: appeal to female independents, reinforce MC's maverick label, and sell as "Change". But, would conservatives bother to turn out for this type of ticket?

  • Mike Huckabee for VP!! The only logical choice really!!! Mike Huckabee is ready, qualified and able to be president. Not picking him is really going to turn alot of people off. No Republican will be turned off by Huckabee and some democrats will come over for Huckabee. The pundits/media is so out of touch with regular people out here....

  • Huckabee has a contract with Fox for his own show and he is also on contract as a political analyst there. He also has a new book coming out the week after the election. So, he is the MOST successful of any of the candidates who ran for president. The laugh is on you.....

    Pat Buchanon and Alan Keyes were also given those exact same things after running for President. Would you consider them sucessful too? Actually most republicans laugh at those two now.

    After the fiasco in Mississippi, I am not sure anyone outside of the state of Arkansas wants Huckabee campaigning for them!
