Download CM7 files, place Kang update.zip in your SD card, flash kernel with the flashtool INCLUDED in the CM7 download. Turn on your phone and enter into CWM recovery and flash Kang update.zip Good luck!
@TheOnlyDealMaker I think DIKEJ and Wolf made a gaming ROM. You might want to try them out. I don't play games other than fruit ninja or angry birds so those work just fine.

@Coronelac A few things could have happened. 1) Bad Flash, so reflash, make sure to wipe data and cache. 2) You did not install the kernel associated with CM, install kernel via flashtool. 3) You didn't unlock the bootloader before installing CM, unlock the bootloader with the provided tool via the XDA package if you got it from there. 4) You sim unlocked your phone via a third party and unlocked the bootloader, as such you will lose all radio function/service. Relock sim and try again.

@MrThedoubleking100 sorry, I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you know how to put it in flash mode? Take out your battery for about 10 seconds. Reinsert, then hold back on your phone (phone is off) with the usb connected to your phone only. Keep holding back and insert the other end into your computer. That should start the flash process.
@amzshadoww Camera was not working in this version. The latest version has the 8mpxl camera and 720p recording. Still has bugs (All apps are not showing up on the market, some wifi/internet connection issues) but stable enough for daily use.

If you have a third party unlocked phone, the bootloader unlocking process will render your phone useless (i.e. no radio functions). There is no video recording functions yet but everything else works fine. I can say it is pretty awesome If you are brave enough to do it.

@aceplaya84 Yes I have. I sent you the link and I went through the same issue you went through a long time ago. My issue was my SD card was not recognized in GB or Froyo but it could be mounted in Xrecovery, so I knew my card wasn't damaged. I reformatted the SD Card and it worked. Hopefully it works for you too.

@aceplaya84 Sometimes Android does not play well with memory cards as such you will have to reformat your memory card. However, don't format it the regular way you are used to. I will send you a link so check your messages in a bit. Let me know if it works for you because I have given this information out to many others but they never reply to tell me if it worked. Thanks!
@dakki12345 There is a way to mod it so you can play tegra games but I don't know how to do it. I don't play graphic intensive games, I just want to make it faster and more responsive.
@haobing0422 what do you mean restore the date? Go to settings>Date and Time> uncheck automatic and then change it to the way you want. Set back to automatic if you want when done.
@benjamintohziqiang There are themes that can make your phone look like this or you can install a custom rom the ZMOD or CyanogenMod in order for it to be like that. The style in the above video has a stock android look that's why it is like that.

@delaine04jelo Download PC Companion on your PC and connect your phone to see if there is a update available. If not, go ahead and view the video response I included (Tutorial: how to update your X10 to Gingerbread) and update it to Gingerbread. Then watch my Part I and Part II videos to make your phone better. Cyanogenmod 7 still has issues but you can play with other stuff in the mean time. Good Luck!

@sainathkoduri My understanding is of the whole thing is yes. However, I have not installed the FreeXperia CM7 and I know that it is using ClockWorkRecovery vs. Xrecovery. I do not know the difference between the two but most X10 roms use Xrecovery to install new roms. ZMOD is using Xrecovery as such you will be able to install any other custom roms that require Xrecovery which is almost all of them.
@sainathkoduri CM7 is awesome and I personally love it. Unfortunately the FreeXperia CM7 series still suffers from a White Light of Death (WLOD) that restarts your phone when using some applications and does not have a working camera yet (waiting for SE sources). ZMOD is probably the rom you should get but I have not tested it myself. I hear that rom is blazing. Once you have your phone rooted and have installed Xrecovery, the rest is a breeze. Check out the XDA threads for install instructions.

@sainathkoduri Google Azuzu method and it will send you to link on how to root your phone and install xrecovery. There is a video link on how to do it in that thread. Now for the CM7 roms you will need xrecovery to install them. Two versions of CM7 are available and other version that are equipped with TW launcher. It is up to you what you want to install. FreeXperia project is the closest thing to CM7 w/o a working camera. ZMOD is your next best bet with almost all the bells and whistles.

@MrPityu97 Were you using the backup and restore app from Sony Ericsson? If so, check your message box for a link. Otherwise, I suggest syncing all contacts with gmail/google. I have not tested this app myself as it was given to me by a subscriber. Let me know if it works for you.

Not every xperia x10 user can get the update from Pc Companion.. Like mine. So i end up flashing it and thank god my 2.1 updated to 2.3.3 gingerbread MANUALLY! Fuck SE!

@warcryrb No problems with Apps2SD on the CyanogenMod 7 nor the official 2.3.3/Gingerbread update by Sony Ericsson. Tested both myself. Check out my latest video, it is a tutorial for installing the latest Gingerbread update if you can't do it via PC Companion.
@warcryrb I don't think it is available in Mexico yet. Best way to find out is to connect your phone to PC Companion to find out. Yes, you can change the language to Spanish. Settings>Language & Keyboard>Select Language. There should be a video response in my video that's in Spanish by davidpjmp in a video response in my video. You can follow his guide too if you want, but I think it's a bit longer than mine but it's in Spanish. Good luck and let me know if you were successful!

What settings did you go into to get the screen on/off animations? I can't find it for my life. Also, whenever I try to apply an adw theme, adw launcher force closes. How can I get it to work? Thanks!
@Jerichosora Settings>Display>Animations>All Animation and then Settings>CyanogenMod Settings>Display>check on all the animations you want. I am not sure about the ADW launcher issue. Mine works fine. Maybe go into settings>applications>Manage Applications and clear cache and data. Clearing data will reset ADW to default. Let me know if this works. Good Luck!

@PAKISRULEZ Not fully. It works with photcam illusion apk but only with vga or wvga quality. The developers are waiting for the official gingerbread update to fix the issue.

@afterDRK07 No this is not the official Gingerbread. I would say rooting for Android would be considered the same as jail breaking and iPhone. This goes beyond "jailbreaking" as we are dealing with custom roms.

@reallysecretusername Nope, definitely not running on a SD card like a old school WM6 device. Bootloader has not been cracked but it's been bypassed as such things like overclocking, underclocking and fps caps can be removed. Native tethering is a bit more tricky. Custom froyo roms run really well but Gingerbread on the other hand are not fully functioning. Camera capabilities have not been fixed yet. Otherwise, GB roms run properly w/o camera functions. Test them out for yourself.
@uchihaevil2 Wow, where are you getting your information from? You must have an inside source that tells you about which version gets the update! Please let us know what else is in the GB update! 16mil colors, true multitouch, the ability to take poops from your X10? Skogberb from SE has said "We plan to bring an upgrade to Android Gingerbread for the Xperia X10 to generic trade kits..." Not mention of a or i does it? What is a generic trade kit? Have you heard of debranding? Sources please!
@CRAZ39 Never had a network problem. There might be new issues with the later roms though. This was an old one and it's always worked. If you are having problems, there should be a dev tools app in your system (if you upgraded your rom), go to bad behavior>crash system server. Phone should freeze and reboot and you should have a working network.
Will probably do an update video for branded sets once the official firmware comes out. I hear end of June. If you can't wait, check XDA developers. A link is in the description.
@sopdogg could you help me with a problem, my Xperia 10 refuses to play high quality on the built in youtube app. and will not allow me to stream videos or play videos stored on my phone, what can i do to fix this problem.? and this has all happened since i've gotten the update :(
@lambers69 Not sure what might be going on, maybe try reflashing it? Don't forget to wipe cache, factory restore and wipe davlik cache before installing the rom via xrecovery.

FreeXperia project is the closest thing to CM7 w/o a working camera. ZMOD is your next best bet with almost all the bells and whistles.

@MrPityu97 Were you using the backup and restore app from Sony Ericsson? If so, check your message box for a link. Otherwise, I suggest syncing all contacts with gmail/google. I have not tested this app myself as it was given to me by a subscriber. Let me know if it works for you.

@starthunder11 I have a video showing how to install gingerbread if you haven't done so already. I will wait to do a tutorial on CM7 when it is fully functional. At this point the CM7 build does not have a working camera yet.

hey guys ive got the gingerbread n enjoying it since 2 weeks its very easy and simple to update jst install pc companion on ure computer or laptop have a backup software dont use the backup and restore app already installed on ure device bcz after the update itll be overwritten folow the simple steps on the pc cpmpanion and wait for atleats 20 mins and then... enjoy the android gingerbread :))

Not every xperia x10 user can get the update from Pc Companion.. Like mine. So i end up flashing it and thank god my 2.1 updated to 2.3.3 gingerbread MANUALLY! Fuck SE!

@warcryrb No problems with Apps2SD on the CyanogenMod 7 nor the official 2.3.3/Gingerbread update by Sony Ericsson. Tested both myself. Check out my latest video, it is a tutorial for installing the latest Gingerbread update if you can't do it via PC Companion.

@warcryrb I don't think it is available in Mexico yet. Best way to find out is to connect your phone to PC Companion to find out. Yes, you can change the language to Spanish. Settings>Language & Keyboard>Select Language. There should be a video response in my video that's in Spanish by davidpjmp in a video response in my video. You can follow his guide too if you want, but I think it's a bit longer than mine but it's in Spanish. Good luck and let me know if you were successful!

What settings did you go into to get the screen on/off animations? I can't find it for my life. Also, whenever I try to apply an adw theme, adw launcher force closes. How can I get it to work? Thanks!

@Jerichosora Settings>Display>Animations>All Animation and then Settings>CyanogenMod Settings>Display>check on all the animations you want. I am not sure about the ADW launcher issue. Mine works fine. Maybe go into settings>applications>Manage Applications and clear cache and data. Clearing data will reset ADW to default. Let me know if this works. Good Luck!

@afterDRK07 No this is not the official Gingerbread. I would say rooting for Android would be considered the same as jail breaking and iPhone. This goes beyond "jailbreaking" as we are dealing with custom roms.

So this is running from the sdcard? I read since the bootloader is not cracked yet, custom roms dont run properly.

@reallysecretusername Nope, definitely not running on a SD card like a old school WM6 device. Bootloader has not been cracked but it's been bypassed as such things like overclocking, underclocking and fps caps can be removed. Native tethering is a bit more tricky. Custom froyo roms run really well but Gingerbread on the other hand are not fully functioning. Camera capabilities have not been fixed yet. Otherwise, GB roms run properly w/o camera functions. Test them out for yourself.

The gingerbread update for the xperia x10 will only ne for the x10i models. This guy is using the x10a model.

Please let us know what else is in the GB update! 16mil colors, true multitouch, the ability to take poops from your X10? Skogberb from SE has said "We plan to bring an upgrade to Android Gingerbread for the Xperia X10 to generic trade kits..." Not mention of a or i does it? What is a generic trade kit? Have you heard of debranding? Sources please!

@CRAZ39 Never had a network problem. There might be new issues with the later roms though. This was an old one and it's always worked. If you are having problems, there should be a dev tools app in your system (if you upgraded your rom), go to bad behavior>crash system server. Phone should freeze and reboot and you should have a working network.

@sopdogg could you help me with a problem, my Xperia 10 refuses to play high quality on the built in youtube app. and will not allow me to stream videos or play videos stored on my phone, what can i do to fix this problem.? and this has all happened since i've gotten the update :(

@lambers69 Not sure what might be going on, maybe try reflashing it? Don't forget to wipe cache, factory restore and wipe davlik cache before installing the rom via xrecovery.
