  • Clark,

    I just have a couple questions .........

1.) i have listened to your clips and like the way the lace silvers react to your rbtc has a very cool tone .......... i have a friend here in los angeles that got a guitar that had the rbtc in it he found out by taking it apart did not know up till that point but i play it before we knew and it was very blackmore like .......... my question is how does the adjustment work on the rbtc just curious .............................

  • @joebonni I've sent you a message via YouTube which answers your 3 questions about the RBTC.

  • Hi,

All sound samples seem to be taken with Lace Silver Sensor pickups. Do you have a sound sample with a normal Strat? I have a Mexican that I bought 10 years ago, and I would like to hear the effect with that. Also, it would be nice if you had an on/off sound sample (I'm not talking about the clean sound on the mixing board).

    Thanks

  • If you check my web site under the RBTC there are some samples by customers with different guitars and setups. I have some new clips coming soon and some are with standard pickups, also some which are Jazz related!

  • Hey,

  • Just amazing sound when you switch to neck pickups!! i can´t understand why people rate you video whit just two or three stars...mabye they don´t understand how good this is...and what a awsome sound you get out of that guitar. Keep up the good work!!

  • x657uls:These people should contact us if they have a problem. That has not happened at all. These rather shy customers, seemingly prefer to be the annoyomous posters claiming they've been "scammed" or worse, so they can't be taken seriosuly for really very obvious reasons. Think about it! Their defamatory comments will be removed and we will block their further comments. FJAMods is not an RBTC customer, so quite simply he cannot have a complaint about our products. Thank you.

  • Thanks The amp used for this was the ENGL Blackmroe Head, and a LACE pickup strat, so it's close to the current tone I think.

For the 70's clip a Marshall was used which sounds closer to that era.

The RBTC is making the sound fat you can hear a switch to the neck at 1:30 where it's more pronounced. RBTC is all about smooth fat tone.

  • I have removed various comments today from this clip, because they weren't relevant to the thread. They were made by a guy( FJAMods ) who doesn't own an RBTC but just liked coming here and complaining about it in defamatory terms!! We've let him say his piece, left it here a while for people to read but now it's gone.

  • I notice you've mentioned that this is meant to be used with proper single coils. All my strats now have noiseless "single" coils. one has kinmans and two with the new area 58 & area 61 dimarzios...will this product have a similar effect on the tone of noiseless pickups too ? I'm not an expert on pickups, besides what I like soundwise, but noiseless single coils are stacked humbuckers so will this thing give similar results with them ?

  • The RBTC works well with Kinmans, we have customes doing that already even with the Kinman Treble Bleed in place. The RBTC works well with Dimarzio HS-3/YJM pickups, again various customers doing that. If the Area 58/61's are similar it shoudl be fine. Noiseless we already have RBTC customers using these and works fine. Check that your volume/tone posts are 250K and not the 500/1M versions and it should work fine for you. Hope this helps.

  • great playing..I love blackmore's music.

what amp settings do you use in this video...?

    mids...treble...

  • Thanks. The ENGL Blackmore Head was set as

    LEAD=10, BASS=3, MID=5, TREBLE=2, PRESENCE=0

LEAD VOL=3, MASTER=2. Channel Lights both ON. The overall volume is basically "home level", not loud at all. The LEAD VOL=3 keeps the drive up and distortion down. Guitar Volume was between 1 and 3, RBTC was just under Max. All dials on a scale 1-10(max). Hope this helps.

  • Pickup Note: The RBTC is designed to work with PASSIVE single coil pickups which it does very well.

RBTC has NOT been tested with EMG or other Active Pickups and as such may NOT work as expected with these types of Pickups. Active Pickups contain a pre-amp system which may not be fully compatible with the operation of the RBTC.

If you are unsure about your pickups or compatability concerns, please email us to check before you buy the RBTC.

  • Really a great blackmore sound and colour...

  • I've finally got the RBTC installed in my guitar, and if anyone had any doubts about the device: It works!

    "Fat/ creamy" sound? You bet!

  • Sounds great if you ask me!

It's always good with some competition:-)
