I'm not an expert on palestinian politics but what makes you think this was an actual feud between hamas and fatah? From what I've read about fatah they aren't that moderate anyway. They might be moderate by palestinian standards but that isn't saying much. To me it seems like it was a confrontation between militant fanatical muslims that either immigrated here from abroad or attended radical muslim private schools vs. Westernized muslims. Both suck imo.
