I don't recall the 2003 turtles ever calling their Shredder "metal head".

I only recall the 1987 turtles calling their Shredder "metal head", "metal mouth" or "bucket breath".

Of course, anyone who like me grew up on (or any kid from this generation who was lucky enough to get a chance to watch) the 80s cartoon know of this little fun fact.

While I don't dislike this new shredder and he is badass but at the same time I don't find him all that of an interesting character. He just seems like your typical villain wanting to take over the world and that's it. I prefer old shredder because say what you want about him but he was more original in that he was actually a flawed character thinking he was great but was ultimately harmless and was more entertaining to watch.

i agree with you, but i would not call 87 Shredder harmless, he did have his moments.

03 Shredder is a force to watch out for sure, but just plain evil doesnt create an intresting character. 87 had a history with Splinter, he indirectly created the turtles, and was more skilled as a warrior than people think, yet very unlucky. in a way just like 03. seeing both never got what they wanted.

Yeah maybe that was a little harsh but as well as having some moments where he would be a threat to the turtles there were also some moments that he would fail because of his incompetence if not because of Bebop and Rocksteady. I'm not saying he was just as incompetent as them I mean he did design Krang's suit I think for example. So he was definitely useful.

I just think that he failed sometimes maybe due to overconfidence or his ego getting the better of him which could be seen as incompetence. But even if we laugh at him sometimes because of that he also made us laugh like say at his arguments with Krang. He just seemed to have more personality than 03 shredder and that's why I prefer him.

Compared to the 1980s version the shredder in this version is a complete monster who submits baxter stockman to mutilation after mutilation and murders people. Plus he doesn't tolerate failure, and will do what ever it

takes to kill the turtles. Plus he has a kick ass voice.

I think that Shredder is at his most evil is this cartoon. In "Exodus" we see that he caused 3.3 million deaths prior to coming to earth, and we know that he must have killed alot more people since then. Only Sauron has a more menacing suit of armor then this Shredder. His voice extremely menacing, which fits how evil he is.

I'd totally agree with you there. He's one of, if not my favourite Villian of all time. I even created a playlist with all (mostly) the episodes which have the Shredder in them. I'd also agree with you that it was a shame when i learned he was an Utrom. It made far too much sense!!! lol!

Plus also his Armour from Season 1 and the first part of Season 2 looks way better that all the others. What do you think?

Yea i think hes armor looked better in the beginning too. He looked more scary and evil in that. Yes i know that you saw some strange stuff before you learn hes an Utrom that got explained after that but i think it would have been better if he was a human and the evil utrom could have been another villain.
