  • u fuckin suck its not for a guitar

  • wanna buy it too/ i'm muse fan too)

  • so many noise -__-

  • how did u get urs to be so loud into ur amp? mine is soooo quite RCA to 1/4 inch

  • Hey i want to ask a question how did you get 90-92 to sound like that cuz mine just sounds like 8 bit crud help plz!

  • You rule cuz you can play muse songs! =)

  • plug in baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    cool^^

  • seems this would work better in an fx loop,

  • Phew!! Some really Twizted tones there!! for bang-for-the-buck--( around $150 is

what I hear) this has got to be the best value going for strange out-there sounds.

    LOOOVVVE it !!

  • this is great! thanks for sharing!

quick question: what's the maximum recording time the mini-kp can handle? like 1 second? 5? 10? more? thanks!

  • hey, is your guitar just plugged straight in via a jack to rca cable, or do you use a pre-amp? great vid btw

  • @thegeorgepage I went 1/4" to RCA directly to the amp.

  • @pugNdrum Line out for the amp. Line in for the guitar.

  • Im guessing your using normal guitar jacks with converters on the ends?

Also, why not just use the headphone jack for output? isnt it a large jack rather than a small one?

  • a fellow jack white fan i see? i like the whammy pedal.

  • hey man can you make noises without running a guitar or instument or beat through it?

  • no it cant the kaosilator does that

  • Hi. How do you use this with a guitar amp? there arent 1/4 inch jacks like guiar effects. Im seriously interested ina kaoss pad but dont know how to connect those "tv / stereo" type connectors into my pedal board. please advise. thanks.

  • what u need is two 'phono to jack' , plug one from your guitar's output to the miniKP's input and the other from the miniKP's output to the amp input. it's as simple as that :)

  • Thanks dude. Since my post I got a KP1 off ebay and it works a treat. Im going to try to get a miniKP though as it has more patches.

Does it have an effects on / off switch and a hold switch?

  • Well it 98 Fx patches and 12 synth patches. A hold button and a nob to select effects. The effects have an echo trail to make them blend in better but this can also be deactivated. The BPM can be changed with shift functions and this is useful if u want to get the arpeggiated FX timed well. Hope this helps :)

  • Oh and there's a memory bank so you can change between FX quicker :D

  • The KP1 I have has a bypass button. Not sure if its useful or not . cheers for the heads up, ill keep an eye out for a cheap one.

how much "breakup" over overdriving of the miniKP happens? is there a trim pot to adjust input gain?

    cheers! nice vid btw

  • It's not mine lol

  • oh sorry just asssssumed lolcat

  • how do you hook this up? do you have to buy anything extra to do so?

  • thats alot of muse ur playing

  • Omg.

First demo with Mini Kaoss Pad that has actual good guitar playing.

    This is fucking amazing.

    Does it have a looper?

  • How do you bypass the mini KP? I have an fx loop in my amp, but is there a way to turn on/off the fx?

  • You have to be interacting with the pad for the effects to work. Luckilly there is a hold switch so you can go hands free, and then you disable them by just pressing the button.

  • @m0nk3ys1ms how would you do this with the kaoss pad 2 ??? ( which RED, WHITE socket should it go into ??? )

  • bloc party uses this alot:) nice vid btw

  • Exact reason why I'm watching and buying this. :D

  • is your guita going through n e effects befor getting to the mini KP?

  • Nope.

  • haha heard knights intro too. Muse fan much?

  • Oh yeah, they're my favorite band. :D

  • haha mine as well. Got the Resistance yet?

  • Yeah, I've had it since it leaked a couple of weeks ago. I expected it to be a lot worse, but it's still a fairly solid album with no really bad tracks. The symphonic monster is epic as well, so that makes the album for me.

  • wow same here. I kinda wanna buy it just to support them. probably lost 20% profit on the leak

  • chances are, if you have a KAOSS pad in your guitar, you're a MUSE fan. lol.

  • nice hysteria solo. what effect was that considered? delay?

  • Yeah.

  • i gotta get one of these!

  • Any problem with the KP draining your tone? If not, how do you get around it?

  • It's a wicked tone drainer. If you're going to use it in your guitar rig, then I highly suggest putting it through an effects loop.

  • does it come with teh cables?

  • Nope, but they're fairly cheap.

  • nice job man, an actull good demo of what one of these can do, gona save up for one now:)

  • ffs you're all a bunch of dickheads. i wasnt trying to play all of these songs at best, i was trying to demo the kp.

  • Agreed! Great Demo of its functions

  • and radiohead was bad... 0_o

  • u use a way to heavy comp

but this is the first time is heard anyone use the kaoss on this fkkn Utube.... altough its messy... nice raconteurs and yea plug in baby was bad...

  • 2 many cable how do u even hook this up does it also need a speaker to work or does it have one built in??

  • you need an amp or headphones. i used an rca to 1/8" for the output and a 1/4" to rca adapter on the input side and used a standard 1/4' guitar cable.

  • k thx man just got mine today and now ordering cables :D

  • He's demoing the mini-KP. not guitar riffs. So it doesnt matter what he plays.

  • just pointing somthing out but, if he was playing a song completely wrong how would you know thats what the song hes aiming for lol. just a thought.

  • no he's right. thats def a fucked up version of plug in baby :P

  • thank you :L

  • why are you playing the guitar like that...

  • Fuck you.

  • I've heard there is less tone/sound loss if you use the headphone output rather than the phono output being used here. Are you using the phono out here?

  • yknow the memory slots? how many effects can ya store per slot?

  • one

  • NICE!! Muse , good song. Are you running this through your amp with leads or?....

  • i like raconteurs too :D

  • Is the noisey tone because of your amp, or was it accentuated by the Mini KP?

Also do you have to interact with the mini KP with your finger for it to modify the signal? ie, you cant just leave it set to a filter?

  • The noise is there because of the large amount of gain I had to put in front of the KP to not have so much of a tone loss.

You can use the hold switch as I did which leaves it hands free, but for the synth filters you'll have to use the XY pad.

  • Great video, I like it. I am thinking about either this or the kp3 for the same set up you have. Can you tell me how you have that set up? Thanks, keep up the good work.

  • I'd recommend going with a KP2 or KP3 over the Mini. I've actually returned my Mini as I'm going to get a KP2. I have it set up here Guitar > Overdrive Pedal > KP > Amp. I'd recommend having a true bypass loop for the Mini as it is a REAL tone sucker.

  • @m0nk3ys1ms thanks for the heads up :) def gunna get me 1 of these... was looking at that "truly beautiful disaster" stompbox but i think this (with an EQ in line probs) would be a far more interesting addition. good demo ol' chap
