1st of, I'd like to ask if its safe to put (little) wax on your hair before ironing it?

and do you have to dry your hair with blow drier really really dry (without moist) before ironing?

because I'm using my hair dryer in the lowest setting but it takes 15-20 minutes to fully dry my hair (my hair is just as long as his)
