hey dre,im having trouble splitting double teams in practice

like my playing on the play ground games i split double teams like there not there and im playing with 17 yr olds,but when im practicing with my team,we have a set play where you pretty much have to split a double team and i keep on losing the ball.from your exp would you think its lack of exp playing in a set since its the 1st time ive made a team or just focus on it in my dribbling drills i do.
