  • Great sound!

  • Jolly good, I say. And Brucie-wusie was good enough to donate to the (non-scab) Miners in 84 - So he will always be on my "He's a rather good chap" list.

  • @jas964 i hope im ok not jumping around..... after all i am filming

  • pity those in the UK buying the soon to be released dvd of this magical concert were not there, the dvd doesnt show everything, It was just an amazing atmosphere i felt like i was there with 50,000 friends totally priceless, shame on those who bought tickets to make a profit., long live the boss and the E streets.

  • Does anybody know if a dvd of it will soon come out????

  • "and I....LIVE BY THE RIVEEEEEEEEEEER!"

Great song. Great artist. Hell it's Bruce!

  • I was there, loved the whole gig, Springsteen is amazing and to open with London Calling (as a Clash fan) I was blown away. But....look at the crowd...at a rough estimate about 85% are complete bloody zombies, more concerned about txting their mates (probably to 'name that tune' because they didn't know it). Have to say it's a worrying trend in gigs, people dont jump around and enjoy themselves anymore.

  • If in any doubt about the point I'm trying to make compare the crowd at this gigs participation in Sunny Day or Badlands compared to the Barcelona gig. Next time the Boss comes to europe I know where I'm getting tickets for!!

  • @jas964 I've noticed a lot more of that too...people texting and drinking rather than enjoying the music. I like to refer to that as musical tourism , and it's very irritating.

  • There is no point in me talking Spanish or French to you..you'll just say I got it off the internet, anyway I'd prefer to HIT YOU in English.

  • Interesting, what's your second and third language?

  • I speak fluent French, Spanish and am currently learning Romanian as I have a friend over there.

  • Thrown in the towel I see..

  • You know I've come across a lot of wierd guys on the internet but you certainly qualify as the worst one.

Not knowing that they were shouting bruce instead of boo makes me inexperienced. The way you talk makes you socially incompetent.

  • What part of " end of conversation " don't you understand ?

Socially incompetent...you mean like, calling people idiots before you know the facts?

Oh and er...learn to spell properly before you comment.

  • Only someone with four stripes on his shoulder may command me and I doubt you couldn't dream of becoming an airline captain. In other words saying end of conversation won't win this argument.

I didn't call anyone an idiot, I was asking it as a question because of an misunderstanding. Your response to that makes you socially incompetent. Noramlly you would just explain the correct thing like Outspaced did. You don't call somebody a moron and twat.

  • This was the first Bruce Springsteen concert I saw, how do you expect me to know what they are shouting.

I know a captain with an IQ of 150+ who as late as last week called me and asked me how you install a sound system. Did I call him an idiot and a twat for being inexperienced?

No, that's what people like you do.

Now, I admit that i was wrong, they are shouting bruce and you were totally right about that part. But your way of saying it is really awkward.

Ps English is not my mother tongue

  • I've been listening to the clash for two weeks and stumbled to this tribute version. Your way of putting this misunderstanind is insanely ignorant. It's like if I would come up to you and say "people have been flying for 100 years and you don't know what makes them lift!"

Are you living in your own world believing that everyone know what you know?

  • there not it's Bruuuuuuuce!

  • What idiot is "booing"?

  • this angle puts me right there...Magnifico!!!

  • all hail the great JOE STRUMMER!!!

  • I love his Joe Strummer voice, And that guitar! What a fantastic tribute. Bruce and Steve just nailed it!

  • wish I could have been there. I got shivers during the "cause London is drowning and I live by the river" part. thank you for uploading :) good sound!

  • This was one of the best concerts, everything was perfect, i love bruce, he is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!x

  • I WAS THERE! and what a gig he played the man is a legend and so is the E Streets. After this masterpiece he played badlands then outlaw pete and the crowd went nuts and this carried on for over 3 hours Hail the boss.

  • hey did you hear thousands of people singing out on the street at the end it was awsome

  • oh oh oh oh Aye i did , and having seen him and the E streets at glastonbury on tv , i thought he put in a better performance at hyde park i thoughly enjoyed myself there, and so did the other 50 thousand. The performance was one of a kind . I especially liked him performing dancing in the dark just before the sun had gone down proper the crowd were excellent and i met some new friends, yahoo happy days.

  • thats awesome of the Boss to pay tribute to the Clash, both influential and amazing artists.

  • the boss is better than jackson x

  • Amen to that, also the boss doesn't touch children, well if he does, it's with his music.

  • You know for an absolute fact that MJ touched kids do you, or are you just another mindless sheep who believes everything the tabloids tell you?

  • I was there on Sunday ! Magical !

By the way who were the first band at 1:45? I think they were native American plus a guest vocalist called Spencer Batisse? Anyone know their name?

  • beauvoir/free?

  • That's them - thanks.

  • This was his best song of the night. Gaslight Anthem were great but this gig didn't come close to AC/DC at Wembley on the previous friday

  • I was at both too, thought Bruce was the better one though.

  • I think it's a matter of musical taste. I am not to familar with alot of the springsteen songs but I won;t deny the guys energy ans showmanship. i'm a big fan of AC/DC and just thought they rocked wembley and the crowd was awesome.

  • Yeah AC/DC were absolutely fantastic! I think both of them proved age is no barrier for the truly great!

  • had a great day what did you think of set list, plus dave matthews was superb and who were the first band crown of thorns good too.....

  • Just added Glory Days And Born to Run, I did move back but sound isnt affected

  • I was there was amazing best day of my life left me very hoarse tho!

  • Did Bruce make any stops in London or Europe during his Darkness Tour in '78?

  • i found it incredible... I was not too far from the front... to the right a lil bit... :)

    woo bruuuuce :L

my mums probs the most consistant "BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCE" you'll here... shes a wee bit obsessed :L

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!

  • It's great he did this, we sometimes forget how much the Clash were actually influenced by Springsteen though the fashion police kind of glossed over it at the time. By the way, where is Mrs Springsteen? I didn't see Patti at Glastonbury or here, I hope she's okay.

  • she was at glastonbury!

  • josemourinho17 patti is back home making sure the teenagers don't burn down the house , as bruce puts it . she usually shows up for spanish shows and dublin, where i'm headed next week. xxx

  • That is awesome sauce.

  • Dull audience.

  • I've noticed they're always a bit quiet until a few songs in.

Anyway, rather a dull audience than an audience of drunk wankers like the guys behind me shouting "BROOOOOCE!" all through Racing In The Street.. Seriously, when he wants to do a quiet slow song, let him do a fucking quiet slow song.

  • Ha..wonder if they were related to the drunk ladies in front of me pogoing and whooping through Racing..Anyway on subject of audience I thought the call and responses were quiet:wondered whether it was because it wasn't an enclosed stadium. My favouriteaudience singalongf memory is still Twist and Shout at the Independence Day concert during the BITUSA tour Wembley Stadium..

  • must have been by me, the crowd full of prawn sandwich nobheads, still quality day i watched half a dozen good bands for less than a prem game, !!!!

  • opening song, everyone was knackered from the previous acts, and bruce hadnt really started up. trust me, much more electric for dancing in the dark

  • They'd played this song on a previous date on this tour, so I hoped they would play it at Hyde Park. What a great way to start the gig! Thanks for posting this reminder of a brilliant day.

  • Was front row and this was an awesome way to open the show and dare I say it, this was even better than the Clash

  • My two worlds collide! LOVE IT!

  • brilliant video :) gutted i missed it i could only get the friday tickets

  • no sorry i didnt get it! this was filmed on my phone

  • Thanks for posting. A Great evening at Hyde Park!
