  • I had to junk an almost perfect 1972 280sel 4.5 because the heater control levers broke.

Only 27,000 miles; it was such a shame. But you know how safety inspectors are....

  • How is the original drive position?? RHD or LHD, anybody knows??

  • Dude, we posted the same link xD

  • Very nice compilation of photos you got there! My friend just uploaded a video of his own Mercedes-Benz 280 SE W108 in action ;)

  • Take a look at this video of the Mercedes-Benz 280 SE W108 : /watch?v=sfs-bDW8VGk

  • I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps Efi and tank clean and rustfree

  • FELICITO!

    BUENA PRESENTACION, SUPER EXCELENTE MUSICA!

  • BRAVO!!!!!!! Absolutely brilliant presentation and by the way, this is such a fascinating automobile. What else can one say? it's a Mercedes-Benz....

  • I also like the music, very fitting for such a car.

  • What I like most about Mercedes-Benz cars, particularly of this vintage is how they blend styling and asthetics with function and engineering. The American equivalents would be the Cadillac and the Chrysler Imperial of the 60s.

  • Super music, Loved Those Interior Pictures

  • I have a Tobacco brown 1972 280sel 4.5 with 27,000 original miles from one owner. ...I want to sell it.... But nobody want.☻

  • @kennethj1956

Hi I'm an avid lover of these car's, but never owned one. E-mail me if you're still selling it. I live in Boston, Massachusetts .Thanks, Tamir124

  • super apparat s !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Loved those interior pictures ! M-B Quality. . .Tired of todays cars with all the flimsy plastic controls/fittings/switches etc. that get old and break.

  • My 250S was a beauty until, stopped in traffic on the Bayshore Freeway, near Mountain View, California, I was rear-ended by a semi doing 35 miles an hour. Caved in the back, totaled the car, but I just opened the driver door and got out. Enough said about the quality of that car.

  • @Jerbob1 OOnly a semi could have done that to a 108, I was the proud owner of a 1972 280S for 13 years and I guess I'll never again own anything so handsome, elegant, so strong and well engineered.....

  • What is the group and name of the music?

    Rover P2 3500 coupe

    Citroen DS 24 Pallas

  • u mean 280SEL? :)

  • Of course.

    Sorry

  • the last pic is the one with 6.3 liter v8 i have the same and it's fast quter mile beat 1974 corvet.

  • Some of the most beautiful cars ever made. I hope to buy a 280SEL someday.

Great music too. Perfect for a drive through the wine country.

  • when i was a child, whenever i hear Mercedes Benz, this is the very image of the car that comes first to my mind. the w108/ 109 with US headlights. : )

  • One of the most beautifull cars ever made; a work of art.

Should stand next to a Citroen DS and a

Jaguar XJ from the same era, allthough the Mercedes is superior building quality.
