I can't believe there are some people that can actually think to compare Demi Lovato to Lea Michele, at least vocally. They have some similar physical characteristics, but when it comes to singing? Yeah, Demi doesn't stand a chance.
You CANNOT compare Lea with Demi Lovato, their different genres of music. Demi is okay but Lea is INCREDIBLE! Her belts are natural and proper and she uses her voice in a healthy way. Lea Michele has great vocal technique because she's been involved in Musical Theatre her entire life. Demi strains and her belts are not clear like Lea's are. If you want to argue about singer's vocals you might want to invest in some vocal training first.
The quality of this performance actually suprised me. Lea Michelle seems to be more out of tune than I would expect a professional singer to be. I feel like this would sound much better if they weren't mic'ed because I think that it is contributing to some of the bad quality...

@Belinda18SM actually Lea is more trained. Besides they have differente type of voices: Lea's voice is more full and resonant than Demi's which is a bit thinner but still powerful just as Lea's. They both sing in a different way. But I do agree that Demi could use some lessons to improve her raw talent.

I don't agree that Lea doesn't sing pop songs well. First of all, the music in SA isn't traditional theater music; it's pop/alt rock, and she sings it great. @Belinda18SM actually Lea is more trained. Besides they have differente type of voices: Lea's voice is more full and resonant than Demi's which is a bit thinner but still powerful just as Lea's. They both sing in a different way. But I do agree that Demi could use some lessons to improve her raw talent.

ok. i am fans of both demi lovato and lea michelle and they are both amazing singers. They just really sing different types of music and have different sounds. Lea is obviously more experienced than demi, but in no way is demi a bad singer at all. Demi has proved it over and over again with her amazing live performances. You guys need to give her more credit. She may not be a broadway singer like Lea, but that doesn't change the fact that she is amazing in her own way. I LOVE LEA & DEMI <3

I don't agree that Lea doesn't sing pop songs well. First of all, the music in SA isn't traditional theater music; it's pop/alt rock, and she sings it great. Second, have you *heard* some of the covers she's done on Glee?? She's absolutely nailed nearly all of them. To mention her and Demi Lovato in the same sentence is sacrilege. It would be like comparing Justin Bieber to Josh Grobin.

@breecullen101 Well, Lea is Broadway and Demi is Hollywood Records. Totally different levels. Broadway and opera are royalty in the music industry. No one beats them in vocal ability :D Still...Lea can't sing pop songs too well. Her voice is more suited for musical theater pieces. Lea's very talented either way!

Lea Michele is just amazing. Her voice is so natural and great. It's for her, Chris Colfer and Darren Criss that I watch Glee :D
