Sony seemed to want it on a handheld only. PSP has its own built-in microphone so PS3 should be able to use a Bluetooth headset. Well, at least PS3 can do video chat.

the peripherals mentioned are not a must, i was able to listen to have a call with its standard speakers and mic (3001) although it works like a speakerphone.

Could someone please help me out on how to use skype on PSP. Generally for any WIFI connection I use they want me to login with a password and user Id. So for some damn reason skype doesn't go around this block and it won't make calls. When I connect to Skype, it doesn't ask me to login and therefore is probably not connected. So how do I keep my WIFI from logging me out when I switch from the browser where I log in to the WIFI network, then to skype application to place the call?

There is a built in mic near the bottom left its just like a little hole there and the speakers are on the bottom :)
