There has to be a sniper on the team. In this match, he was the sniper. He has to play defensively to not lose the sniper, plus to not give the other team an extra point (obviously). He wasn't camping, just covering their side of the map.

In order to get full custom, you have to pick it up when you either have full shields or your shields are charging up. Otherwise, you just "burn" it and nothing happens. That's why making the other team "burn" it at the beginning is a good play.
