  • 427 Side oiler I believe. My dad had a Ford Galaxy 500 with one. The GT40 of course looked a lot nicer. ;)

  • A 429, in other words? Isn't that 7 litres?:)

  • @winterstellar its an fe 427, jack

  • @fatharmonix THanks!

  • only 10 likes? 0_o

  • Love the car:) Hate the color ;(

  • the GT MKIV's (1967 Le Mans winner) were built in Michigan :) In fact, the winning car from 1967 is in the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn.

  • Sounds the sex

  • @silverwood2 It is the 427 FORD motor that crushed everybody at Le Mans and that was made in America

  • @DoveManufacturing Only thing American is the engine. The rest is British designed.

  • @DoveManufacturing MK1 and MK3 are british bodied, MK2 was built in America. Look it up if you don't believe me.

  • @colt455446 Word, the whole thing was that ford turned to British Lola Cars.. so when ppl say its an American car... i Shiver, idiots

  • @Summitshow Its not all American and its not all British; so you are wrong too. Idiot. You're just another know-it-all youtube "car enthusiast" aren't you?

  • @HaleFire7 more like, i do know... do you even know the history behind GT40 ?. And i was kinda waiting until someone replied to this comment, as soon you mention something bad about us, ppl will be all over you

  • @Summitshow The real big winner was the MK2 and that was entirely built in America by Carroll Shelby. You know, I don't understand at all why there have to be arguments about such trivial matters. England has made some damned great stuff and has also turned out some trashy shit, same as the USA has done. When it comes to the Ford GT 40 though, I am just happy looking at THE most beautiful car ever made. I would gladly give my left 'concerto' for one.

  • @silverwood2 Small and light. A 1000 bhp bus isn't going to win on a track against a 200 bhp feather.

  • @silverwood2 Not really... The first Ford GTs were bult by Lola and lotus, it didn't have the Ford 7 litre engine and didn't win anything in 1963. Shelby at the same time was working on the race car project that did win races and was entirely american of the Shelby cobra daytona, this project was stopped and he developed the successful GTs.

  • Very nice! There are real explosions occuring in that engine!
