Often it comes from the verses stating that Muhammad would be the last Prophet until the end times. They reject the assertion that the end times have already been fulfilled and the Mahdi and the Masih have already come, and espouse a belief in a traditional apocalypse scenario.

In essense, they're assured that their interpretations are correct, and will deny that which differs from their conceptions.
