  • The John Ankerberg Show - Is the earth in Just the Right Place

  • @valtonen77 i know! and who in there right frame of mind would condone slavery?

  • @orderofmelchizedek1 Hitler WAS a Christian. And he was also getting money from the Vatican to help support his cause.

  • theres a moral of human. and moral fictional christian god. if god commands you to rape little girls, you think it is right. any other human releazes its wrong. problem solved? christians dont have moralvalues. they only have word of their fairy tale god.

  • Flyleaf -- Breathe Today Lyric Video

  • To all of you who are upset with Christians, I just want to apologize for all those people who call themselves christians but don't act like it. For those of you that call yourselves christians, I hope this moves you past the fear of sharing the Gospel, so that you realize how important it is that we are genuine, loving, and are more worried about pleasing God rather than our friends. Please be careful how you respond to people, for example, when responding to people in these comment forums.

  • Very very I interesting perspective. I'll remember that.

  • I liked the truck analogy part.

  • As a Christian, I totally get and respect Penn's point. I am convicted by it, in that I firmly believe in heaven and hell after death, while at the same time I don't always live that out on a daily basis. Too many Christians (myself included) give God a bad name, and it honestly breaks my heart. I vow to love more, accept more, listen more, and judge less. Above all, Christianity is about love - and I want my life to reflect that - ESPECIALLY to those that believe differently than I do.

  • hard to masterbate to

  • get a haircut, hippie

  • what gives him the right to say "i know there is no god"?

  • First of all, I do belive in God. Second of all everybody is free to belive or not belive in anything.

THIRD OF ALL.... You call yourself Christians? He says Psalms are from New Testament. And you magnificent christian don't know that they are from the Old Testament. You just jump up and down that he is that and that.

You... Yes you, who call yourself christians, did you ever opened the Bible? Or for you is more important what other belive than the bible it self?

And yes, I am a christian.

  • @MrHammer76 Penn is an atheist. So.....he probably doesn't know all that much about the placement of books in the Bible. You obviously didn't pay attention to the video.

  • If I were jesus I would take a crap and make all my devoted followers eat the corn from my shit...fuck this water into wine bit!

Good people do good things...bad people do bad things...but it takes religion to make a good person do bad things.

  • @moonshineinsummer1 obviously people with low IQ's can be atheists too.

  • @inthepurelight All human babies are atheists.

Babies are without a god or gods.

    This I asure you.

    Yes...low IQ babies are atheists.

Also...high IQ babies are atheists too.

Now where did I put that bible? I gotta shit.

  • @moonshineinsummer1 No,all human babies are babies, they have no deep thought, nor the capacity to form opinions about their existence,(you must be holding on to your reality a bit too tightly if you feel compelled to trot shit like that out)a baby can no more be an atheist than he (or she) can be a doctor.I personally don't care if you wipe your ass with the Bible your choice (if you don't mind ink stains on your ass) I'm putting you in the low I.Q. baby category

  • @inthepurelight First...Amen is a god...look it up.

Everytime you say "amen"..you praise the Egyptian god "Amen".

How many gods do you have?

    Are babies doctors? no

    Are babies lawyers? no

    Are babies religious? no.

Atheists are not religious...neither are babies.

Atheists dont believe in a god or gods... neither do babies.

Anyone who doesnt believe in a god or gods ia an atheist.

    Got it? Good!

  • @moonshineinsummer1 You seem very comfortable in your roll as an uneducated "Atheist" I'm thinking moonshineinthesummer led to two cousins fucken, and out popped little low IQ baby you. (Zeus is my favorite God, Ra is my second favorite) babies are babies and nothing more

  • @inthepurelight Well...you beat me to making you look stupid....theres that 10% chance....must be the cactus juice.

And if you have a passion for your cousin...dont tell me about it.

Atheists dont have a god or gods...buy a fucking dictionary.

    Babies are atheists.

  • @moonshineinsummer1 good luck with that whole being a moron thing

  • @moonshineinsummer1 Amen means "so be it" in Greek, not some form of worship towards an Egyptian got called Amun. A-M-U-N. Different word, different spelling, different meaning. Are you trolling or just stupid?

  • @Broguyman You need some schooling...apparently you dont know how to use a dictionary.

The word "AMEN"...yes "AMEN" is the Egyptian god of life and reproduction.

    Buy a dictionary.

You must have left your brain behind when you crawled out of your mothers cunt.

Your last post...makes you look as stupid as you are.

    Google the fucking word!

    Then get a fucking life!

  • @moonshineinsummer1 Wow you are more ignorant than I thought. You google it. You're so angry because your brain hurts when you think. You don't even know what A-M-U-N is the Egyptian god of. Why don't you read a book before you start calling people stupid. You need to "Google the fucking word!." I did, you're wrong, thanks for playing.

  • @Broguyman Reread my last post dick head.

    Its "AMEN"...what dont you get?

Do you love that bastard jesus?

Or do you love that child molester muhamhead.

If I were jesus I would take a crap and make all my devoted followers eat the corn from my shit...fuck this water into wine bit!

    Piss off...you're waisting my time!

  • @inthepurelight that goes both ways.

  • @jpb1231000 I ONLY BELIEVE IN SCIENCE!! NOW FUCK OFF

  • Planting the seed...

  • @jpb1231000 I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THE STUPID BIBLE!!

  • Comment removed

  • @needhim The bible is bronze age nonsense. Quoting it in this day and age is irrelevant. Suggesting they were smarter 'back then' than we are now is ridiculous. The fact that you missed that I was using a metaphor makes you look particularly stupid.

  • @needhim Your god commanded the death of little children and you worship it.

  • @Lunabeam1 cite the passage without using Google or are you simply repeating what you've heard others say? And yes I know the passage. There are several. Just curious whether you do.

  • @needhim Does it change anything?

  • @needhim without the passage because even in chruch they told us. without the passage... but they make it clear, david, hes a dick. idk idc what god said i would have never murder entire villages, women children and live stock. this part i can never forget. this saddly amungst killing sabith workers, witches, gays and rebellious teens. i cant follow a religion that tells me not to kill, then tell me to kill "types" of people... let alone our country (christian nation) doing the same. lies.

  • @needhim Even if he did have to Google it, the evidence is still true, it doesn't make his point any less valid.

  • @needhim so you admit then. there you go! no need to search google or read that awfull book.

  • @Lunabeam1 Actually, in the Conquest of the Holy Land the "genocide" that God is accused of is not of humans but of the half human- fallen angel ( Nephillim, ) race of gen 6 which survived the flood. These are the same giants of Greek, Roman and nearly all world cultures recordings. It was a genetic problem that thankfully God used his people to solve. Other universally recorded characteristics include 6 fingers and toes. These demons are now called Aliens; abducting men and beasts

  • @jpb1231000 SHUT THE FUCK UP!! YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!!

  • Just trying to enlighten you about OUR GOD, not just mine. You have to look at the whole picture my friend. One day you will know too. I just don't want you to be on the wrong end of it. That very same problem bothered me as well. How God told Israel to commit genocide at the time of the Conquest was a tough thing. I then researched it and that's what I came up with. I do know what I'm talking about. I've researched it. I plead that you will too. I will pray for u my friend. The Giants (cont)

  • @Lunabeam1 (con) in the bible have 6 digits on hands and toes. The Giants that the Indians told Buffallo Bill have 6 digits. Just Google six toes Bible see what you get and the same for Buffalo Bill. This is important. I care about your soul. Please at least research and pray about it! Also look at how the flood "myths are in all cultures. Evolution is a lie! The Devil is behind this deception. I have a prayer list and u are on it. You can message when u want! Jesus Saves!!!

  • @Lunabeam1 (cont) today as they did long ago. The parallels of History are obvious once you research them. Modern Darwinists have ignored the documentation of the ancients as "myths'" but as darwinism unravels they are now looking to " Aliens" as the source of life These same aliens are channeled daily by "new agers" as Ascended Masters failing to make the connections to Nephilim. They come light yrs refuting only Christianity. The Ancients tell how giants terrorized man. It all fits

  • @Lunabeam1 If you had a friend/child/relative and they were on fire,I mean dowsed in gasoline burning,in pain and going to die,(and you could not put the fire out) would you kill them,or watch them burn, just curious

  • @inthepurelight Why would I wanna be around someone who is stupid and gonna set them self on fire? What kind idiot would ask a stupid question like that?

  • @Lunabeam1

God can command whatever He wants because He is God. He did command the Israelites 2 destroy little Canaanite children, with everyone else. Many Christians struggle 2 understand why He did this, but we believe He did & that it is somehow consistent with His Justice and, even, His goodness. There are reasonable, if not fully-satisfactory explanations for this. What isn't reasonable is an Atheist using this against God, for Atheists have no absolute basis for saying this is wrong.

  • @cda76er Fuck you. Hitler was Christian!! And look at what he did.

  • @Lunabeam1

Hitler was raised Catholic, but essentially left the Church. Saying you're a Christian doesn't make you a Christian. A Christian follows the teachings & example of Christ. Hitler followed the teachings of Darwin & Nietzche but sometimes used Christian terminology. Sadly, many other "nominal" Christians followed. But he also sent many true Christ-following Christians to the concentration camps for refusing to support his evil. U r morally-challenged if u can't see the difference

  • @cda76er WHATEVER YOUR THE SAME AS THE WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH. MOST CHRISTIANS ARE.

  • @Lunabeam1

It's absurd 2 say that I & most Christians r like the Westboro Baptist "Church". I (& most other believers I know) detest their approach more than u precisely because it causes many people to think that it is true Christianity, thereby tending to make them closed to the true Gospel. The Gospel says that God loves sinners (no matter what their sin) & sent His Eternal Son in order to redeem us from the penalty of our sin and restore us to relationship with Him if we accept His gift.

  • @cda76er Hitler and his christian henchman killed millions and millions of jews to get even with them for killing christ...he was no atheist!!

  • @lionshare101 Do some research before spewing incorrect information, junior. Adolf Hitler had a notorious God complex about him self. Almost all of his motives were racial and he used religion as a minor rallying point for a predominately Christian Germany. Fact of the matter is most historians believe Hitler had very minor Christian beliefs (if any). Mostly due to the fact that its taught Christ had to die to pay for our sins so the Jews had little to do with it.

  • @lunchbox118 I think his point was, Hitler was not an atheist. He was extremely interested in the occult, and as you said, believed he had been chosen to unite the world under one rule. Nazi rule. He was as far from an atheist as he was a Rabbi.

  • @lionshare101 OH and a follow up. Any Atheist's who feel that they have the moral high-ground over religious followers based on passed/current transgressions. FEEL free to justify the actions of China, North Korea, the North Vietnamese/Vietcong and Joseph Stalin.

  • cont.

We do not say that God's slaying of the Canaanite children is normative for us, or even for the Israelites otherwise. Rather, we are commanded to love even our enemies, as God does in general. Only God knows what happened to those children in terms of the ultimate destiny of their souls. If they went to heaven their death would be the greatest blessing they could receive. It's simply presumptuous to say that since I can't understand how a good God could do this then it's impossible.

  • @Lunabeam1 People believe they know God often when in truth they have no idea what exactly he has done or who he has hurt. Let me give you an example. Lets say a preachers young daughter dies suddenly. Some might say God doesn't exist or he would not be so cruel to such a man of his own. When in fact his daughter was going to grow up to reject God and God took her before she would be counted guilty for his servants sake. I'm not saying this happens. Only not to judge so fast.

  • @Mcygee I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this but you've lost your ever lovin mind..

  • @Mcygee I'm sorry to be the second one to tell you this but you've lost your ever lovin mind...

  • @Lunabeam1 Do you know dying is natural process? So if you die young or old, your going to die jackass!

  • @Lunabeam1 Before you pass judgement on The God of the universe, You might try getting to know Him. God hates evil and sometimes in order to stop even more evil from coming to pass, the seemly innocent pay with their lives. Who are we to judge God, He is the creator, we are the created! He has every right to do as He wills because He made all things. We may not always understand why He does certain things, but as He states in His Word the Bible, "My ways are not your ways".

  • @orderofmelchizedek1 ExampleIf you could go back in time and have the chance to terminate the life of small children who you knew would turn out to be some of the most evil men in history, Hitler, Pol Pot, Charles Manson, Joseph Stalin, etc., would it not be better for them to have died before they were able to inflict their evil upon the world? I think so. And yet, at some point they were cute innocent babies!! God has this ability, to judge Him is folly.

  • I read the entire Bible word for word. Front to back. And now I am an Athiest

  • @Lunabeam1 I read your entire comment word for word, front to back, and now I understand the theology behind unconditional election and predestination. Romans 8:29-30

  • I imagine there are good believers and good disbelievers... and of course the converse. Why should we be surprised.

  • @roibasses cute fortune cookie comment...the only problem with it is, the Bible. Consider Luke 18:19. Thoughts?

  • @needhim Some ascribe authority to books, I prefer to ascribe authority to reality where it may be recognized. A book is a book, within it may be truth and falsehoods. Who is Luke? Why would Luke have more truth than anyone else? The bible has many barbaric acts condoned by its God - for me it has no authority in moral or ethical issues. It, like people, has some good and bad. Some have moved beyond the "my book is perfect" brain washed condition and others still ave figured out they are.

  • i have never dispelled any of my friends fantasies, but still doesn't make them true! Fuck em!!

  • penns the shit. he fights for what he believes in, but doesnt judge others because they believe different. could you imagine what our world would look like if everyone thought that way?

  • @RESTxINxPIECEZ I want to give you a million up votes.

  • @Kothlim that could take a while but get started!

  • @RESTxINxPIECEZ define "judge." He is actually quite judgmental but Im curious what your definition is.

  • @needhim no, he doesnt judge their character. he judges their beliefs. theres a very big difference.

  • God is God......religion is born of man....we invented religion, and just as everything else we've ever invented since the wheel....it's flawed.

  • @CarolinasPGApro If by "religion" you mean denominations and organized structure of the church then I completely agree and so does all of scripture. Jesus hated religion. Most of his teachings was against the established religion of the day. The original church established in the book of Acts was called "The Way" and followers of Christ were called atheists because they had no temple or statues to pray to.

  • @CarolinasPGApro However, I think what you are trying to say is that the Bible and Christianity is born of man and flawed. That I completely disagree with.

  • @kalivious and i respect the ones who arent assholes im just saying i hate how 9/10 atheists think they know everything and are genuises and i love the 1/10 that dont. I realize over half the Christians out there are obnoxious and ignorant about the Bible but there are ones who actually are Christians so it iritates me when athiests say all Christians are dumb and brainless

  • @nedyahniwre15 To be fair, you are following a set of rules and beliefs made up by ancient civilisation to explain everyday things despite the fact we live in an age of discovery. It's like you believe the world is flat (that was the widespread belief) whereas thanks to science and logic, we know it's round but you still cling to that old belief. Inexplicably too which is even more frustrating. How can you consider someone 'intelligent' when they openly believe the world is flat?

  • @ponchred science evolves, so does doctrine. And you have a completely distorted understanding of the "rules and beliefs" in the Bible. The purpose of the law in the Pentateuch had absolutely nothing to do with "explaining every day things." Point to a verse that claims that. Please. I dare you. Without googling. I tire at the mindless rhetoric without ever attempting to challenge their own beliefs. Ive read Dawkins. Have you read Leviticus?

  • @nedyahniwre15 ummmm...ok, I would probably agree with your statistics. I may hold a higher standard and degree of frustration towards people who call themselves "christian" with no basis of understanding of what that means. Thoughts?

  • Seeing so many atheists and anti-theists riled up by this makes me sad. It's a video in which a a kind man gives another a gift, and what's more, a gift that shows he cares about another however wrong we may believe his core beliefs to be.

If you consider yourself an atheist, your one hope for a good life lies in making this world better for yourself and for others, regardless, and in giving people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to goodness. Otherwise..what are you living for?

  • Did he say Psalms was from the new Testament? I really hope he did, beacuse that would mean he doesnt know the Bible to well...... which would mean there is HOPE for him, I will be praying for Penn today because he would make a great man of God

  • @Freethinkin14 I know right? That was hilarious.

  • jeez,Penn really pissed off the atheists, they are so defensive ,atheism is a very insecure religion,(make no mistake it has become a religion)

  • @inthepurelight Yes and Amen. Clear understanding.

  • @inthepurelight The only people who get defensive are the ones unsure of their position in the first place. Atheism, is not in any way shape or form, a religion.

  • @Rigor5Mortis Then there are a lot of atheist who aren't sure

  • @inthepurelight "Not playing football is a sport."

"Not collecting stamps is a hobbie."

"Not believing in a god is a religion."

Wake up and smell the roses.

Atheist is a person with out the belief that a god exists...babies for exmple.

Yes you were an atheist until you got the mind disease.

    Atheism is not a religion.....buy a dictionary.

  • @moonshineinsummer1 First: you have no idea what I believe, you have assumed me into a category. Second: you are the one in need of a dictionary as religion is a belief system,It does not have to be about an invisible man. Third :these day's you have people proselytizing the cause of atheism especially on youtube, and in speaking engagements, and conferences. fourth: and most importantly atheist are tending more and more to band together and that is a hallmark of a religion, I stand by what I said

  • @inthepurelight Since you cannot afford a dictionary let me spell it out for you.

Religion is "The service and worship of god or the supernatural".

Atheism is not a religion...get over it.

    Anything else?

  • @moonshineinsummer1 You may be able to afford the dictionary, however you don't know how to use it,nor can you think in the abstract. In context I'm right, simple as that. Your ignorance of language and inability to think in any way other than linear progression does however make a good case for your relationship to monkeys and apes...... Atheism is becoming a religion especially on youtube, in the context that I put forth previously . (you should stick to using your computer for masturbation)

  • @inthepurelight You can think that atheism is a religion like there is a god or gods watching over you.

Both are bullshit and you know it.

All religions are dying at an accelerated pace.

The world is getting to know these fake ideologies.

Some Americans use religion when they marry or die...otherwise...they kick it aside.

Europeans are shedding its religious heritage....and finding pisslam a really violent and oppresive ideology.

  • @inthepurelight I'm not really sure how one would use a computer to masterbate....but you seem to think there is a way. I wont ask.

You are an idiot and cant seem to count past two....I'll explain.

There was a survey...and it says....atheists are smarter, more educated, and more knowlegable about religion than are religious people.

    Atheism is not a religion....buy a dictionary.

  • The Seed Has Been Planted.

  • wow penn u are an idiot. crazy people never think they are crazy. just another religious loon. i would be happy to see them all incarcerated or better yet incinerated and I think most atheists would agree with me.

  • @mittROMNEY666 wow. You are an idiot.

  • @mittROMNEY666 i beleive you missed the entire point

you are the exact type of cynical bigot that you claim to hate

oh just look at your name- now it all makes sense

  • @mittROMNEY666 Penn is a lot of things...and idiot he is not. Please be respectful here. Thank you.

  • @mittROMNEY666 As an atheist I would much prefer to see you incarcerated or, and this would not be my first or even 100th option but my last, incinerated, after which I would make a decision on everyone else based on their actions. If they have broken the law and can be proven to be guilty, incarcerate them, otherwise I have no objection and would let them be. I would expect more than simple minded bigotry from someone claiming to be an atheist, you make me sick.

  • Penn, I am a christian. I have always liked you and agreed with you on so many issues. It is strange that I would come across this video.

After watching this a cried. I couldn't stop. It felt as if the Spirit of God came over me and the Lord was weeping for you through me.

You ARE precious in His sight! And I will pray for you tonight. Mary Kay

  • @NETMenace2012 He knows there is no God in the same way he knows there is no pixies at the bottom of his garden.

  • " I know there is no God ", Penn? NO you don't.

  • @NETMenace2012 nobody does- and we never will

  • @JaCkMiChEaLs0n Prove THAT..now!

  • @NETMenace2012 i see what you did there >_> lol

these people that argue religion are so stupid. we can look at the religious books all we want or we can research and find all sorts of 'evidence' and make theories and conjectures and whatnot- but the reality is that we cannot know for sure exactly what happened or be 100% on how it all started or how we got here- so the argument is pointless, we have nowhere NEAR the 'proof' to be make claims of whose right or wrong

  • @JaCkMiChEaLs0n though people who take the words of their BOOK and use it as fact while ignoring tangable science and research, or try and tell how other people should live their lives like vice laws, or gay marrage, or censorship are just pieces of shit. if its not affecting you directly then shut the fuck up about it- that is the only problem i have with religious people

  • @JaCkMiChEaLs0n That has been my exact point repeatedly. No one can prove or disprove God's existence one way or the other. It's the whole premise of Faith and believe it or not, Atheism IS a Faith. It's a Belief System in the fact it is based on disbelieving that God / Deities exist. The U.S. Supreme Court has even bolstered my statement here with a ruling that states the same thing basically.

  • the thumbnail was just to funny

  • Penn Jillette, a great guy - Bill Maher, big time hater

  • Yes, he said psalms from the NT, but is that the important part? Clearly, if he doesn't believe there is a God, he isn't too concerned or familiar with the order of the books of the Bible.

  • @boyfriendpillowluver You do nothing for the credibility of your position if you display ignorance of the your opponents' position. It just confirms my view of Penn. I dislike the thought that theists form impressions of atheism based on the ignorant and, frequently, foul-mouthed statements of this man.

  • Maybe he's a guy that's not bothered by atheists. I wouldn't have a problem with some atheists if you guys didn't think you are Albert Einstein, and attack the Christians so much more than others. I realize their are millions of ignorant, fake and extremely judgmental Christians out there, but there are a few out there who are simply Christian. I guess you guys don't realize you offend the ACTUAL Christians when you mock the fake Christians(not saying fakes shouldn't be set straight but you kno

  • @nedyahniwre15 What really separates these two parties of Christians? They both believe a god exists.

  • @nedyahniwre15 Maybe you didn't mean to insult all atheists with your comment, but you are doing the same thing that you are accusing atheists of doing. I am an atheist and I don't mock Christians or members of any religion. The only time I even discuss religion is if someone else brings it up first. So, if you don't want others to judge you based on your religion, perhaps you shouldn't judge someone just for being an atheist. We're not all assholes.

  • @kalivious Where's the harm in bringing up religion first? I see no problem with speaking up for things that are important to us. I'm not abrasive, but I refuse to be silent.

  • @Ducks4President I didn't mean to imply that there is something wrong with an atheist bringing up religion, I was just stating that it is not something I do personally. There are absolutely contexts where an atheist is justified in bringing up religion, although, I do think there are a few atheists who bring it up just to mock others without seeking any real exchange of ideas, which I think is just silly. (I think this is a small minority of atheists, though.)

  • @nedyahniwre15 I've yet to meet one of these so called "ACTUAL CHRISTIANS." What I have met in my life is a constant string of people who call themselves "Christian" yet have ZERO answers for the reality of their religions history and fallacies in the Bible.

I would believe there are more "educated" non-believers out there than educated Christians. However, that again comes from personal experience as I've yet to meet one.

  • @valakin I guess I would call myself an "educated" Christian. Feel free to PM me some questions. So you have met one now :P

  • Psalms from the New Testament??? Did I mishear him?

  • @mikelheron20 tinyurl 7sc7gka likely caused the confusion

  • @mikelheron20 I think he means it was one of those pocket Bibles that includes the New Testament, with Psalms tacked onto the end of it. They do that sometimes.

  • All paths lead to the same destination :)

  • Yes, he was a Good Man, Penn. And YOU are a Good Man, too. You're very very Good. Good people know how to recognize each other. That's because they're BOTH Good! Now why don't the two of you suck my dick?

  • @92Payka

I believe it with no evidence whatsoever? You'd think the Black Sea, being a former Fresh Water lake, then turning into Salt Water would be enough evidence to show that there was a massive flood.

You go around claiming something that is ultimately unknown and consider it fact; I should be calling you the idiot here, but I have too much dignity to go down to that level.

  • @92Payka

God said that everything from fowl, to cattle, to every CREEPING thing. Flying insects don't creep, they fly.

You say it COULD have happened, but it's still nonsense? That's funny.

  • @92Payka

Evidence shows the Black Sea used to be Fresh Water, it's now Salt Water. How did that happen? Regional Flood.

I've pretty much explained how the species Noah didn't collect survived and it doesn't take an idiot to realize some of those explanations at the very beginning (you know, 'cause fish can't survive in water, right? lol)

Simply because I disagree with you, I don't deserve respect? I don't think that's me being an idiot, rather than a personal problem.

  • @92Payka

Well, Noah and his family only had 120 YEARS to gather all the animals and build the Ark. Who knows, maybe Noah was a wealthy man and hired people to help him; there are many factors to consider.

The fish could have survived, and flying insects could've survived on mats of vegetation. I want you to prove to me there are hundreds of thousands of species of land animals in the Middle East thousands of years ago.

  • @92Payka

An experienced crew of 4 could've installed 15 cubic feet of wood per day, totaling to 4,680cm3 of the 45,000+cm3 structure. It would definitely seem possible. The other 4 could've gone to gather the land animals (which I HIGHLY there are 600,000 species of land animals in the middle east back then).

No evidence of a flood? Did you just agree with me that it was a regional flood, like I'm claiming?

I tried to keep this respectful and you call me stupid, such a shame.

  • What a nice guy. He is such a great guy. I'm religious, an I think that he did what is possibly the nicest thing an atheist can do. He accepted the gift, he said thank you, and he exclaimed how nice and genuine that man was. Why can't we be more like that? Penn is an atheist. The Bible guy was not. He gave Penn a Gideon's Bible. Penn accepted it and saw it a very kind gesture. He didn't spaz out and call him a 'God freak'.

Atheists - Why can't you be like him?

Christians - Start acting like it!

  • @MrDerby2u totally agree with your sentiments, but I just have to add something. This guy wasn't JUST handing out bibles to be nice. He was also trying to get the word out and convert people. I think it's fair for an atheist to discuss their beliefs with this guy and confront him with what they think are inconsistencies or immoral views. That's not to say, however, that you should ever resort to calling each other names, or spazzing out.

  • @WilbertK13 true, and anyone who disagrees with your statement is selfish.

My comment was more directed to the others on this page who make this video a battleground of atheism VS creationism.

They are not seeing the message for the message.

For what it's worth, God bless.

  • @MrDerby2u Haha, I'll thank you for that, then.

  • @MrDerby2u Thank you, I agree with you and this is the right way to deal with someone you disagree with but can still recognise as a good person, more people like this on both sides of the debate would make the world a better place.

  • @TheAntiQuest true. disagreeing does not mean disrespecting. i think some people get those words mixed up.

  • @92Payka

When God said he would flood the Earth, what was the entire Earth to Noah? What was the entire Earth to the people that wrote the Bible? Most likely the only land they knew.

Noah could've fit roughly 600,000 animals on the Ark and given that it was most likely a regional flood, that number becomes much more manageable.

  • @92Payka

God said the every animal the breathed through it's NOSTRILS died. Fish and insect survived. How do you know this flood didn't occur before man inhabited the other continents? It is often thought the civilization started in modern day middle east so a massive flood between the Black Sea, Mediterranean, etc. is possible.

God says to take two of every animal... two of every animal in the region? The world? The area? He never really gives specifics.

  • @92Payka

And what would make you think that the flood wasn't just a regional flood? What makes you think animals didn't survive on higher elevations?

  • @capone50

May I point out the fact that science is essentially a way of putting everything in a definitive box. Which is fair enough, its how we try to understand the universe and how it works. And this box is re-fitted, and redefined in order to suit new laws or relationships between the physical properties of everything that we discover and measure. In this way realistically you can't have any more faith in science than you can have faith in religion, because it will never be totally proven.

  • It's amazing how corrosive religion is to society. Cozmolyne down there is undoubtedly a decent moral person, I'm sure he's neither psychopathic or sociopathic, but his sick and twisted cult has him desperately trying to justify the mass drowning of babies. Can you imagine a jury convicting a thief's entire family to death, and trying to justify saying "well his kid would've ended up a thief too"? I can't, but you have to suspend all critical faculties when dealing with this absurd fairy tale.

  • This was nice.

  • *Jillette

  • @MrBuster128 So the study of nothing?

  • @capone50 Evolution is nothing but a faith based religion, it has no empirical evidence and is being proven wrong by secular scientist every day. Dont tell me that science is not a belief because it completely is.

  • I can't name 1 person with such access to the mic, who is this honest.

  • Penn shows his integrity and humility in this. U rock man.

  • You have great hair.

  • @shwminist and you don't believe in a invisible creator all powerful guy

  • i think that when most people have this debate, each party looks at the other's extremes and apply the extremes to the idea that everyone involved with their belief (science or religion) follows that exact pattern, which is not true. There are extremists in religion and science that take things too far, which i strongly disagree with in both science and religion. There are scientific facts that can not be denied, but there is also nothing wrong with having faith and a belief in God.

  • A Christian who is Christ-like? Now thats a rare specimen indeed. Ive never met one myself, even when i was a Christian. Not even me. :)

  • I have a way to reconcile the positions of atheist vs. avowed Christian. If you go below the words they use, you see their intentions aligned with their behavior. How often does that happen? Usually someone's intentions are to judge you, blame you, correct you, all that stuff I can't work with.

  • Penn - I have been a fan of yours for a while. I wanted to thank you for sharing this story. Yes I am a believing Christ follower. Yes I believe that religion has done some awlful things. But I truly believe as you were stating that as human beings we should care for one another. Even when we disagree it is still possible to care, love, nuture, support another human being. I pray for all the Theists & Atheists to show love over hate, kindness over anger. We can all make this world better!

  • yo penn where'd you come up with that note at the end? sounds like pacific garden missions from the 60s. please do answer!!

  • More people should see this. Being religous isn't inherently bad, not being relgious isn't inherently bad. Doing bad things makes you a bad person. Pretty simple but most people relgious and non-religous often seem to overlook it.

  • The God of the Bible is real and He works in amazing ways. Thank you for sharing this video. It gives encouragement to me and shows that little acts of kindness to others go a long way in illustrating the love of Jesus Christ.

  • @lindseywester I'm sure you're a great person too but like Penn, I can't emphasize how wrong you are about that belief. I'll still shake your hand on whatever path you choose.

  • I think you should take that bible in to consideration and at least read the in side bask cover and see that God loves you and he wants him to be with you when you die.

  • @skaterMAN2451

Or read the part where he tells you to stone people to death for working on Sunday and the part where god explains the best way to buy and sell slaves.

  • Comment removed

  • @Kloborgg And add to that list the part where it explains how to sell your own daughter !

    [Exodus 21:7-11]

  • @Kloborgg

I love how you people look back on the Old Testament, and think it means anything.
