ok people, im sick of listening to people argue "dont kill wolves they are so beautiful" where im from (manitoba, canada) wolf populations are through the roof. because of this, whitetail deer populations are down. iv seen more timberwolves then coyotes this year, iv seen more timberwolves then whitetail this year. wolves are beautiful animals, but they are predators none the less. that is why they are shot and trapped. cause right now, the population is out of control.
@TheUkrainianLad wolves hunt to survive wolves could kill humans thinking "we need to keep the human populations under control" killing a wolf unless its attacking u is the same thing as murder. wolves have a soul to. and anyway they r not the only hunters who hunt deer wolves, mountain lions, bears, humans and more hunt deer so you sir, shut the fuck up

@WolfgrowlofTacoClan i wish. too bad most of the wolves up here have radio collars from the states. they followed the deer herd up. i got 3 radio collered wolves on my trail cam. cause manitoba dont have radio collars for wolves.
quick question here to all you wolfaboo- er...wolf lovers. Why are wolves suddenly the best creatures on earth? What makes them any better than any other animal?
Don't get me wrong, I love wolves myself, but why do you think they are the best animals alive?
@ZeeDeeDee96 They are not the best animals alive, I adore cats and I'm a wolf lover myself. Every animal is unique and special and amazing in it's own way. there are loads of people who love other animals too you know. But what really captivates people when they see wolves is how they work as a team, their fierce love for their pack mates and the tactics they develop to hunt prey. Sure, they're not the best, but they are just as beautiful =]
@randomdude306 Actually American Natives used everything on the animal. Hunters can be very wasteful, they leave parts that are still edible, and useful!
@chris96kalonji Native Americans were Hunters!!! I use the hide of the Wolf also. It makes a great throw rug. The teeth make a nice necklace. I love Wolves right next to my potatoes and gravy. They don't taste anything at all like baby seals!
@2009myraven Also, they shot at the imperialistic Americans to the death. Until they were shot down and put into reservations like the Jews in the holocaust. I have nothing but respect for those who faught. Those who want to now adapt to this system, and fucking sell-outs, Viva La Revolucion.
Ok well dont call me crazy but I beleive i am part wolf. I dont like to call myself HUMAN because its SO embarissing! Think about because of humans tones of animals are going to die! They destroy the ozone layer EVERY day!! They cut and destroy wolf and other animals homes to make things they WASTE every day!!! Not to mention they are burning fossel fules wich causes pollution!!!! Some are STILL dumping in lakes!!!!!
Stomp stomp HOWL stomp stomp HOWL stomp stomp HOWL: "Buddie your a nice wolf playing in the fields gonna be saved one day got innocence in your face not a disgrace waving your cute all over the place..singing we will we will SAVE you, singing we will we will SAVE you! Sing it!!!!......Bring out the message save the wolves!
I love how animals never kill for the sake of killing - all species work together like wolves and elk and buffalo and chimps and so on and so forth...the only species that kills within its own group is the smartest species of them all and that is humans. Fuck how stupid we are. We need to learn from animals how to be better people.
@mackayash Wolves, and many other carnivores, have been seen killing for the sake of killing. This is called surplus killing, where animals kill lots of prey that they do not eat. Wolves do this a lot and it has become a big problem; in one recent case in Russia, 30 horses were killed by a pack of wolves and not one of the carcass were consumed.
So I'm afraid you are wrong - lots of animals do kill for the sake of killing.
its an instict. If a wolf sees a prey animal near and doesnt run away (like sheep), he will attack it. Its just how their brain is wired. They dont kill for fun like human hunters do.
@105km And humans killing other animals is instinct too.
Obviously you know little about surplus killing - surplus killing IS killing for fun, and wolves do it a lot. And what do you mean by if their prey doesn't run away they will kill it? Obviously you have been misinformed one way or another, because if an animal does run away then that triggers the wolf's prey drive. Standing up to a predator and not running away is more effective than staying put, so your point is invalid.
@mackayash Give me other examples other than wolves that might harm our livestock excessively (since this would be our main concern)? either way, this isn't what I was saying, I was saying that people kill other people whereas animals don't kill within their own species they mainly kill to survive. Moreover, If wolves kill for the sake of killing we get rid of them to solve the problem? man has landed on the moon and we can't come up with a better solution than that?
@mackayash Also, wolves do kill within their own species - they often will kill interlopers into their territory, and dominant females have been seen killing other pregnant females within the pack. Wolves also kill any pups they see that are not of their own kin as it is seen as genetic competition.
@BluOceanBubbles Ok whatever give me another example, its rare nonetheless and the great thing is we have a larger brain than the wolf. Doesn't matter I don't know what you're trying to argue but I found it funny that "humans kill animals on instinct" when its called sport hunting since we don't need to hunt to survive anymore.
@mackayash And the funny thing is that wolves do the same. Wolves surplus kill, which means they kill a lot of prey which they do not eat - therefore they are not hunting to survive.
they do not kill A LOT of prey that they dont need idiot. Prey doesnt stand around and wait till its killed. But sheep and other farm animals do. Thats why wolves kill so many. If a prey animal is not running away, then the wolf will kill it. Thats just their instinct. Humans, however buy guns and kill animals by pulling a trigger for sport.
@105km Yes they do. There have been many documented cases of wolves killing a lot of prey they don't need - for example, recently in Russia 30 horses were killed by wolves and not one of the horses was consumed. Another recent case is in Germany, where one wolf killed 13 pet deer and didn't eat one of them. You want more examples? Just ask, I've got plenty more.
You could also say wolves kill for sport when they commit surplus killing - when they kill but not eat they prey they do it for fun.
@BluOceanBubbles Either link or shut up. And even if what you say was true (which it likely isn't – dogs, rather than wolves, usually stand behind this sort of attacks), you may notice it's extremely rare for wolves to behave this way, and it never happens in wildlife – in both instances you named, the animals were domestic animals, not wild. IOW, it was the human's fault - people have to separate their pets from predators if they want them to survive, because if attacked, stock just sits
@BluOceanBubbles around waiting to be killed, and then you can hardly blame the wolf for doing so. Under normal circumstances, hunting is exhausting and dangerous for wolves, and they would never, I repeat NEVER do it 'for sport'.
@912a219 These attacks were scientifically proven to be wolves, not dogs. Wolf tracks were found in the snow where Candice's body was found. Yes, it is rare, but it does happen - I'm not condemning wolves, however we have to realise that there is a problem with wolves becoming habituated. Plus, in both cases, there was no indication that it could have been a wolf-dog hybrid. It sounds to me that you are trying to use dogs as a scapegoat. The thorough post-mortems confirmed these were WOLF
@912a219 attacks and not bears/dogs/etc. Where the hell did you get your information from? Both attacks were performed by WILD, habituated wolves - anyway, wolves technically cannot be domesticated. Please stop lying and accept the fact that these attacks were performed by wolves - there is no point trying to give excuse after excuse. It is pathetic that you are telling lies just to justify one rare attack.
You sort of backfired on yourself there - yes, hunting is dangerous, so if their prey
@912a219 is sitting around then they will take this opportunity and kill as much as they can. You *could* argue that this is 'sport' killing, since often this mass killing is a result of a prey drive and adrenaline rush. In a recent case 30 horses were killed by a pack of wolves and not one was eaten. This is a huge problem caused by overpopulated and habituated wolves, therefore it is important that we trim the population to a HEALTHY state; we are not slaughtering wolves en masse.
ahahaa I had a good lough. How is it that killing 30 horses without eating them, coused by overpopulation of wolves? I dont see the connection. And btw 30 horses? Really? I think its an exaggeration, if even true. And surplus killing is not the same as sport killing. If a wolf sees his prey, he kills it. Its just instinct, to run and bite. It is not instinct to pull a trigger, however.
Where did you download this from,if I might ask.I've been looking to download wolf video's from somewhere but I haven't found a good site yet. Please reply!~
It annoys me that in this video they claim that dire wolves are the grey wolf's long lost ancestor... dire wolves were closely related to coyotes, not wolves. -_-
Huntingduke you are very correct about the Pittman Robertson act as those monies go to conservation for hunted and non hunted species as well. Just a small correction for both of you. No Animal Has EVER become endangered or gone extinct in the US due to sport hunting. There is no such thing as unrestricted hunting. That's poaching. All hunting has restrictions no matter the species. Always did. And alot of people bring up the buffalo kill. That was a govt. Pl
@ maximum411 Yes, UNRESTRICTED hunting caused the game populations to become endangered and hunters stepped up. We are the ones that pushed Congress to tax us to pay for conservation and for hunting to be regulated to protect the game. I am not advocating unrestricted hunting. I AM advocating the modern, science based, hunting management plan. That has brought so many of our game animals back from the brink. If it has worked so well, and it has, with all these other animals, why not wolves?
Hunting based conservation works. If you pin down MOST hunters they do not want all wolves destroyed. We want a science based conservation model, that yes allows for the limited hunting of wolfs, but in a way that will not adversely effect the population. I do realize I am wasting my time trying to reason with most of the people on here. Some of the posts... I am to nice to comment on, but if you REALLY want to save wolves open a hunting season on them. They will never be endangered again.
Funny, the money to restore wolves came from hunters (Through the Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act, better known as the Pittman-Robertson Act). Hunters are the ones that funded and worked hard to restore and protect game populations and their habitats. And yet we are painted as evil, blood thirsty killers... Who does more damage? The person that donates their time and money to help wildlife for the opportunity to hunt, Or the jack ass that develops on crucial winter range?
Sigh. Hate to break it to you, but there is no 'Canadian Gray Wolf', folks. The wolves introduced to Y-Stone are the same species that was there historically. They hunt on the plains, they hunt in the mountains, in the forests, etc. They hunt elk, deer, moose and bison, as well as smaller prey. We're talking about an animal that can travel up to a thousand miles in search of suitable territory and a mate. The only subspecies is the coastal rainforest wolf - none of these are in Y-Stone.
I love how hunters blame the wolves for everything. They blame them for the environment problems up in Idaho, for livestock damage, ect. Let me tell you a fucking story. The Wolves were there first before the European settlements, and once the Europeans wiped out the buffalo? What do they see as prey? Cows, and other shitty live-stock shit.
As for Idaho, it's really quite simple. If they didn't kill the American Timberland Grey Wolves in the 90s, there'd be no Canadian Gray Wolf replacements!
You guys are all idiots! Too many non-native timberwolves around here! Idaho is becoming a barren wasteland void of elk and deer. If it weren't for hunters money there wouldn't be public land and national forest for the wolves to demolish. eh.. I think I will go back out hunting. I get an itchy trigger finger when I hear things howl ;)
Wolves were here long before man. They balanced their ecosystem. It's man that destroys ecosystems by sport hunting the elk and deer. Man hunts for the best, strongest elk with a mighty rack, leaving the weak to reproduce. Wolves kill the weak, allowing the strong to live, prosper, and produce healthy herds. There really is no reason to kill a wolf unless the wolf is endangering you ie trying to kill you.
@Kisebara Of course they are. They're sick, worthless, vermin pigs who want to destroy beautiful, wild wolves. Do remember who started our problems up in Idaho! They did! How? 1930s American Timberland Wolves exterminated by THEM, the VERMIN. So in 1960-90s, the elk became overpopulated and commonly weaker. What could we do next? Reintroduce a replacement of course... The Canadian Gray Wolf. Now, they might be a problem. But they're all we got because of the fucking hunter-pigs.
@Kisebara And I 100% agree with you. Hunting faggots killed off the original species of American Great Plains/Timberland Gray wolves which saved the ecosystems long before man, and so we have these environmental problems. So, we sent in the wolf's cousin, the Canadian gray wolf, not designed for the plains of Idaho. But they're all we have now. Because of those vermin parasite pigs do we have these problems now. Their fault. Elk go to hell, tough shit for the hunting-faggots.
Lol, the amount of idiots commenting on this video is hilarious. "Wolves are bad. they eat and kill stuff like nature intended. I'm gonna say something that makes them sound bad to justify me hunting stuff. I married my cousin."
Maybe not the last part, but more than likely the people making anti-wolf repopulation crap are inbred children.
They reintroduced wolves. All you dumb rabbit fucking treehuggers need to learn your god damn reasons. You realize hunters are the reason you guys have the oppuortunity to see these beautiful creatures?
When wolves were reintroduced, they reproduced so fast they are having a negative effect. They eat the winterkill so there isn't any left for the bears...
The income for everything that has to do with hunting goes straight to funding for the national parks.
Um I really can't beleave what you said about "you realize hunters are the reason that we are able to see them". Yeah, see them DEAD. And no you're wrong they reproduce quickly but the pups usually die off from diseases and other causes. Wrong again it doesn't go to national parks, not all of them. Perhaps instead of arguing you should get your facts straight. Maybe sometimes we, "fucking treehuggers" know what we're talking about.
Talking of damage various species do to the ecosystem .. there is one animal we should particularly keep an eye on, as no other has ever done so much harm - human.
You show beautiful pictures and videos of wolves. But yet you kill them. You and others who want to kill them must not understand the family pack. Or you would not kill them. The ranchers leave carcasses of their livestock which have died. It only encouurages the wolves to go after the carcasses.
In romania we have a say: "the wolf, the doctor of the forest". Exactly as the narrator said, wolves are vital for a healthy ecosystem. This is my favourite animal and reintroducing them in Yellowstone will prove a good ideea.
PS: they're not so beautiful when you meet one in the forest. Actually if it's just one you're fine.
why don't you lazy hillbillies try hunting bare handed, with what nature gave you, like wolves do, clearly, when it all boils down we aren't predators at all, we're scavengers, cause we're intelligent enough to understand laziness, i.e. guns, so you don't have to deal with the animal yourself, anything with opposable thumbs can point and pull a trigger, i will respect you when you run a dear down yourself like some tribes in africa do, that's respectable hunting
Nature gave us our brains you damn treehugging fuck. You think weapons just suddenly appeared? We used our true weapon, our brains, to get where we are now.
Respectable hunting is following the laws, keeping nature in check. Most hunters help the ecosystem from overpopulation. Deer are overpopulated because there is only so much land for them to live on. There are poachers, those are the people that give you the bad image about hunters.
fuck u stupid fucks who r bitchen about ur elks..why dont u idiots stop hunting for a couple of years and head over to ur local store for some beef u fat fucks..the wolves hunt for survival u dumb shyt.
Because buying beef from the store is supporting animal cruelty, so then you can just go bitch and cry about that next. The beef in supermarkets are processed and unhealthy. You city fucks are the fat ones, you eat meat that isn't natural.
fuck the wolves........... they kill for fun like dogs.... Ive watched them do it. ....Wolves in Virginia? Good plan....why dont we release 50 grizzlies in S. Cal too? stupid humans............................ they are gonna wipe out the elk in Yogistone, just wait.
LOL AND YOU SAY WOLVES KILL FOR FUN? WOLVES KILL BECOUSE THEY NEED TO. WHY DO YOU KILL ELK? FOR SPORT ISNT IT? You dumb redneck. wolves and elk have been living together for millions of years. it is only sice the arrival of man, of hunters, like you, that kill for fun, that those 2 species have become endangered.
@105km I KNOW RIGHT?! i am actually having a campaign to save wolves, and a charity too. i am also trying to explain to peeps about that. when i was haveing my neighbors sign a door-to-door, they were like, "well, why do we want them, thell kill everything?" and i was like, "shut up! its bs!"
@105km nope actually wolves do kill for fun sometimes (at least i think). we had a herd of over 100 sheep in syria and they were attacked by a pack over night and over 40 were left dead until we realized what was happening. we took 12 wolves the following week. Although i agree they should be kept in check Im also for the preservation of these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat.
@mrsmelzbad they kill every couple days and they only kill 1 u r just a ignorant retard. if we did what u say we should do 17000 years ago we wouldnt have mans best friend the dog
@mrsmelzbad You should keep your comments to your self. I have studied and researched this great animal so I know what I am talking about. You obviously know nothing about wolves or have studied them enough to know anything. That man was a professional. I bet if he saw your comment he would sham you for lack of even the littlest of knowledge of the gray wolves. I bet if you researched them you would find that you were wrong about the wolves.
Dude you are a real idiot. Wolves don't kill for fun
They kill because they protect their group or feel threatened. If you see a wolf somewhere just GTFO in a normal pace. Planting wolves is a smart thing because they don't hurt humans at all and they balance the nature. Humans are more dangerous than the freakin wolves...
I see a lot of other hunting videos on here. Most just to show off their redneck head shots and stuff like that. And the worst thing to see is the animals suffering, and them just leaving it there to die....People these days....To lazy to cook. Curse McDonalds and junk like that!
I live in virginia and the we have just reintroduced 3 pairs of wolves to the George Washington National Forest....I hope they can prosper....but...the hunters around here are very worried about the deer population, because they say the coyotes are over populated already. : ) Peace
@105km Of course they are.
@soldierstud23 You do know that the numbers of Elk are simply returning to natural levels, right? They are not overkilling. The attacks on livestock occur in areas that have been deforested. Your statement makes you seem little better than these "OmG, SaVe Da WoLvEs CuZ dEy ArE eNdAnGeReD!!!11111!" kids who you resent. I hope you are aware of that.
@MyTbradley Wolves hunt coyotes as well as deer. The imbalance in the animal numbers should be helped by the wolves. There is no legitamite reason to kill a wolf unless it is a danger to /humans/, anyway. And wolves don't attack humans without provocation.
@Kittennia I agree. I read an article in a National Geographic magazine about wolves and their impact on America. you should read it. They were killed off in Yellowstone some time back i think and elks and coyotes thrived, where the plants elk ate died away and coyotes only preyed on smaller animals like beavers etc, so they were becoming threatened. Then wolves were introduced and elk and coyote numbers have decreased, plantlife is fully back now and beavers and small animals are thriving again
@VivaLaWannabez I heard about that, too. It's amazing how the absence of a single species can bring havoc to the entire ecosystem that it was meant to live in. The balance has become so much more precarious since humans began to kill off species that are an integral part of the community around them because they fear the animals, and think that it's right to 'protect' the nonnative species that they bring to the area, and even the native species that lived just fine with the predators for years.
@MyTbradley I can say that hunters shouldn't be worried about Coyote's much longer. When wolves move in, Coyote's are smart enough to move out because the wolves will eat the Coyote's. However, there will be a change in the elk population there. They're going to seem much rarer, but the fact is that the Elk will be forced to adjust to the superior predators that will have moved in. By the way, are there any Cougars in Virginia? Just wondering.
@MyTbradley If they prosper, they will run the coyotes out of their area and will be killing more deer than the coyotes ! I live in wolf country and have seen what they do! Not like some people that think they know and do not live there.
@MyTbradley That's ironic, because wolves actually tend to decrease the number of coyotes in an area due to competition, predation, and just plan running them out of certain areas.
Restoring a natural ecological balance to an area should take precedence over human sporting activities. One is a luxury; the other is critical to the continued health of ecosystems.
Thank you 105m for posting this....LOVE wolves and hate all people who kill them...anyone who wants to kill wolves ARE dumb rednecks and retarded to boot.
When is beautiful, magical Alaska going to STOP all shooting of these creatures??
@1492oceanblue2 Dude, this is the type of statement that makes wolf lovers look like naive idiots. Stop, go read up, and then come back to the argument. Most people who don't like wolves are not "dumb rednecks," they are often ranchers looking to support a lifestyle but are afraid that the wolves will kill all of their livestock.
Wolves hunt for survival, but humans hunt for fun. Without wolves, we wouldn't have dogs, and many people dont understand that. Wolves have harder lives than humans, and we're only making it harder by hunting.
wolves are one of the most magical surviving animals,...i really respect them and raise my voice against killing them,....they are also one of the family minded animals and work in group,...wolves kill to eat and feed the group, Humans kill humans and animals,...they kill everything actually, i always ask myself,...how animals are better than ussss????????
@firasalam1 Look, many predators kill members of other apex predator groups and each other over territory and kills. Lions, for instance, often kill wild dogs, hyenas, and leopards to simply eliminate the competition, not for food. Wolves, Cougars, and Grizzlies all kill each other and their young to eliminate the competition of one another. Of the above, the The Wild Dog is the only creature that won't kill members of it's own species over territory. Rather, these predators are a lot like us.
....Am I the only one laughing while back tracking through this video's comments. For that matter, I love it how humans always tell other humans how we ruin other species biology, but think if humans were considered "wild" and wolves were "civilized". Its a very interesting thought.
I would like to see a pack of wolves try to kill a tiger.

I love how animals never kill for the sake of killing - all species work together like wolves and elk and buffalo and chimps and so on and so forth...the only species that kills within its own group is the smartest species of them all and that is humans. Fuck how stupid we are. We need to learn from animals how to be better people.
mackayash 11 months ago
@mackayash Wolves, and many other carnivores, have been seen killing for the sake of killing. This is called surplus killing, where animals kill lots of prey that they do not eat. Wolves do this a lot and it has become a big problem; in one recent case in Russia, 30 horses were killed by a pack of wolves and not one of the carcass were consumed.
So I'm afraid you are wrong - lots of animals do kill for the sake of killing.
BluOceanBubbles 11 months ago
@BluOceanBubbles
its an instict. If a wolf sees a prey animal near and doesnt run away (like sheep), he will attack it. Its just how their brain is wired. They dont kill for fun like human hunters do.
105km 11 months ago
@105km And humans killing other animals is instinct too.
Obviously you know little about surplus killing - surplus killing IS killing for fun, and wolves do it a lot. And what do you mean by if their prey doesn't run away they will kill it? Obviously you have been misinformed one way or another, because if an animal does run away then that triggers the wolf's prey drive. Standing up to a predator and not running away is more effective than staying put, so your point is invalid.
BluOceanBubbles 11 months ago
@mackayash Give me other examples other than wolves that might harm our livestock excessively (since this would be our main concern)? either way, this isn't what I was saying, I was saying that people kill other people whereas animals don't kill within their own species they mainly kill to survive. Moreover, If wolves kill for the sake of killing we get rid of them to solve the problem? man has landed on the moon and we can't come up with a better solution than that?
mackayash 11 months ago
@mackayash Also, wolves do kill within their own species - they often will kill interlopers into their territory, and dominant females have been seen killing other pregnant females within the pack. Wolves also kill any pups they see that are not of their own kin as it is seen as genetic competition.
BluOceanBubbles 11 months ago
@BluOceanBubbles Ok whatever give me another example, its rare nonetheless and the great thing is we have a larger brain than the wolf. Doesn't matter I don't know what you're trying to argue but I found it funny that "humans kill animals on instinct" when its called sport hunting since we don't need to hunt to survive anymore.
mackayash 11 months ago
@mackayash And the funny thing is that wolves do the same. Wolves surplus kill, which means they kill a lot of prey which they do not eat - therefore they are not hunting to survive.
BluOceanBubbles 11 months ago
@BluOceanBubbles
they do not kill A LOT of prey that they dont need idiot. Prey doesnt stand around and wait till its killed. But sheep and other farm animals do. Thats why wolves kill so many. If a prey animal is not running away, then the wolf will kill it. Thats just their instinct. Humans, however buy guns and kill animals by pulling a trigger for sport.
105km 11 months ago
@105km Yes they do. There have been many documented cases of wolves killing a lot of prey they don't need - for example, recently in Russia 30 horses were killed by wolves and not one of the horses was consumed. Another recent case is in Germany, where one wolf killed 13 pet deer and didn't eat one of them. You want more examples? Just ask, I've got plenty more.
You could also say wolves kill for sport when they commit surplus killing - when they kill but not eat they prey they do it for fun.
BluOceanBubbles 11 months ago
@BluOceanBubbles Either link or shut up. And even if what you say was true (which it likely isn't – dogs, rather than wolves, usually stand behind this sort of attacks), you may notice it's extremely rare for wolves to behave this way, and it never happens in wildlife – in both instances you named, the animals were domestic animals, not wild. IOW, it was the human's fault - people have to separate their pets from predators if they want them to survive, because if attacked, stock just sits
912a219 10 months ago
@BluOceanBubbles around waiting to be killed, and then you can hardly blame the wolf for doing so. Under normal circumstances, hunting is exhausting and dangerous for wolves, and they would never, I repeat NEVER do it 'for sport'.
912a219 10 months ago
@912a219 These attacks were scientifically proven to be wolves, not dogs. Wolf tracks were found in the snow where Candice's body was found. Yes, it is rare, but it does happen - I'm not condemning wolves, however we have to realise that there is a problem with wolves becoming habituated. Plus, in both cases, there was no indication that it could have been a wolf-dog hybrid. It sounds to me that you are trying to use dogs as a scapegoat. The thorough post-mortems confirmed these were WOLF
BluOceanBubbles 10 months ago
@912a219 attacks and not bears/dogs/etc. Where the hell did you get your information from? Both attacks were performed by WILD, habituated wolves - anyway, wolves technically cannot be domesticated. Please stop lying and accept the fact that these attacks were performed by wolves - there is no point trying to give excuse after excuse. It is pathetic that you are telling lies just to justify one rare attack.
You sort of backfired on yourself there - yes, hunting is dangerous, so if their prey
BluOceanBubbles 10 months ago
@912a219 is sitting around then they will take this opportunity and kill as much as they can. You *could* argue that this is 'sport' killing, since often this mass killing is a result of a prey drive and adrenaline rush. In a recent case 30 horses were killed by a pack of wolves and not one was eaten. This is a huge problem caused by overpopulated and habituated wolves, therefore it is important that we trim the population to a HEALTHY state; we are not slaughtering wolves en masse.
BluOceanBubbles 10 months ago
@BluOceanBubbles
ahahaa I had a good lough.
105km 10 months ago
@BluOceanBubbles You know you've completely proven me wrong, humans don't have a larger brain than a wolf.

They will never be endangered again.
huntingduke1875 1 year ago
@huntingduke1875
you do realize unrestricted hunting is the reason they were endangered in the first place?
maximum411 1 year ago
Funny, the money to restore wolves came from hunters (Through the Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act, better known as the Pittman-Robertson Act). Hunters are the ones that funded and worked hard to restore and protect game populations and their habitats. And yet we are painted as evil, blood thirsty killers... Who does more damage? The person that donates their time and money to help wildlife for the opportunity to hunt, Or the jack ass that develops on crucial winter range?
huntingduke1875 1 year ago

@mountainmahem
Kisebara 1 year ago
@Kisebara Of course they are. They're sick, worthless, vermin pigs who want to destroy beautiful, wild wolves. Do remember who started our problems up in Idaho! They did! How? 1930s American Timberland Wolves exterminated by THEM, the VERMIN. So in 1960-90s, the elk became overpopulated and commonly weaker. What could we do next? Reintroduce a replacement of course... The Canadian Gray Wolf. Now, they might be a problem. But they're all we got because of the fucking hunter-pigs.
Tyco200 1 year ago
@Kisebara And I 100% agree with you. Hunting faggots killed off the original species of American Great Plains/Timberland Gray wolves which saved the ecosystems long before man, and so we have these environmental problems. So, we sent in the wolf's cousin, the Canadian gray wolf, not designed for the plains of Idaho. But they're all we have now. Because of those vermin parasite pigs do we have these problems now. Their fault. Elk go to hell, tough shit for the hunting-faggots.

why don't you lazy hillbillies try hunting bare handed, with what nature gave you, like wolves do, clearly, when it all boils down we aren't predators at all, we're scavengers, cause we're intelligent enough to understand laziness, i.e. guns, so you don't have to deal with the animal yourself, anything with opposable thumbs can point and pull a trigger, i will respect you when you run a dear down yourself like some tribes in africa do, that's respectable hunting

Respectable hunting is following the laws, keeping nature in check. Most hunters help the ecosystem from overpopulation. Deer are overpopulated because there is only so much land for them to live on. There are poachers, those are the people that give you the bad image about hunters.

soldierstud23 1 year ago
@soldierstud23 You do know that the numbers of Elk are simply returning to natural levels, right? They are not overkilling. The attacks on livestock occur in areas that have been deforested. Your statement makes you seem little better than these "OmG, SaVe Da WoLvEs CuZ dEy ArE eNdAnGeReD!!!11111!" kids who you resent. I hope you are aware of that.
Lupos1987 1 year ago
@MyTbradley Wolves hunt coyotes as well as deer. The imbalance in the animal numbers should be helped by the wolves. There is no legitamite reason to kill a wolf unless it is a danger to /humans/, anyway. And wolves don't attack humans without provocation.
Kittennia 1 year ago 29
@Kittennia I agree. I read an article in a National Geographic magazine about wolves and their impact on America. you should read it. They were killed off in Yellowstone some time back i think and elks and coyotes thrived, where the plants elk ate died away and coyotes only preyed on smaller animals like beavers etc, so they were becoming threatened. Then wolves were introduced and elk and coyote numbers have decreased, plantlife is fully back now and beavers and small animals are thriving again
VivaLaWannabez 1 year ago 2
@VivaLaWannabez I heard about that, too. It's amazing how the absence of a single species can bring havoc to the entire ecosystem that it was meant to live in. The balance has become so much more precarious since humans began to kill off species that are an integral part of the community around them because they fear the animals, and think that it's right to 'protect' the nonnative species that they bring to the area, and even the native species that lived just fine with the predators for years.
Kittennia 1 year ago 7
@MyTbradley I can say that hunters shouldn't be worried about Coyote's much longer. When wolves move in, Coyote's are smart enough to move out because the wolves will eat the Coyote's. However, there will be a change in the elk population there. They're going to seem much rarer, but the fact is that the Elk will be forced to adjust to the superior predators that will have moved in. By the way, are there any Cougars in Virginia? Just wondering.
Lupos1987 1 year ago
@MyTbradley
I also live in Virginia and hope the wolves survive. If a coyote runs into a wolf it's bye bye coyote.
alphalobo1 1 year ago
@MyTbradley If they prosper, they will run the coyotes out of their area and will be killing more deer than the coyotes ! I live in wolf country and have seen what they do! Not like some people that think they know and do not live there.
RiversNorth13 1 year ago
@MyTbradley That's ironic, because wolves actually tend to decrease the number of coyotes in an area due to competition, predation, and just plan running them out of certain areas.
Restoring a natural ecological balance to an area should take precedence over human sporting activities. One is a luxury; the other is critical to the continued health of ecosystems.

firasalam1 1 year ago
@firasalam1 Look, many predators kill members of other apex predator groups and each other over territory and kills. Lions, for instance, often kill wild dogs, hyenas, and leopards to simply eliminate the competition, not for food. Wolves, Cougars, and Grizzlies all kill each other and their young to eliminate the competition of one another. Of the above, the The Wild Dog is the only creature that won't kill members of it's own species over territory. Rather, these predators are a lot like us.
