I'm starting to ignore Piper and Warren. Piper should do that emotional talk AWAY from the church, and IN. I agree that These 2 have sold out to the devil, because money is their influence. Why write so many books about faith and god, when we already have the best book ever made? Isn't making your own book about god, and making heaps of money of it a little hindering to their own teachings?

I thank you for posting this. I have only heard John Piper preach in the last couple of days but I am so very aware that Rick Warren and his teachings so easily lead to universal concept of God with the result of making Jesus a little side note.

I'm so sorry the John Piper has chosen to pollute his ministry with Rick Warren's ideals.

I have never heard Piper say anything unbiblical, thats why this is so shocking, Piper is sound the only thing that worrys me about Piper is the invite he has extended to Warren..... So miking I have no idea who you usually listen to but youer dead wrong about Piper.

@itsnolongeri I love Piper too. but he's somewhat lacking in discernment, and i know he's a little bit pro pentecostal (not the health and wealth kind of pentecostals, but the traditional ones). I kind of afraid this would somewhat create conflict with him and dr. macarthur.

@12343590 Hey:) yea i know hes not as hard on the pentecostals as John MacArthur but hes always explained himself well and they actually have been involved in conferances and things together, im sure they have their difference's but nothing like John MacArthur would have with Rick Warren lol, i see this as a mistake but will not write of such a good teacher and start calling him a heretic personally, inviting warren is a mistake, but is it heresy? Has he taught lies? Please site examples.

@12343590 Somewhat lacking? Almost completely blind you mean. The first Pentecostal movement was the greatest thing that happened to America in recent history.

By the way I am not a Pentecostal but reading about those first meetings and how they functioned I am challenged. I do not question that the Welsh Revival was a genuine work, and these modern forms of Church are so wrong.

PRAY without ceasing, not READ without ceasing. Most Christians throughout the ages could not READ at ALL nor had access to a Bible. (as most were written in Latin anyway)

The Bible is worshiped these days, not Christ. As Christians we are LIVING testaments, as opposed to WRITTEN testaments. We are the temple, not a book.

Very interesting. It really breaks my heart to see stuff like this.

As long as we keep looking up to a man (whether he be a pastor, leader, etc), instead of Jesus, we will continue to be disappointed. This is one of the reasons I advocate Bible based leadership as seen in things like the Organic Church movement, versus a top down leadership like these guys.
