There's loads of info compiled by a brother at unitinghumans . com regarding a RBE. Pls don't make it a short visit (so much to read/watch/listen to). Try not 2 project ur current 'conditioning' or 'how things r now' with us onto something brand new. If ur following any o/t current genuine global movements, i'm sure ur intelligent enuf 2 think about the possibility of "hey, ya know what, we cud create a RBE" At age 64, that's how it was 4 me. I was so "omg, u mean we cud do this?" YES "^_^"
Please visit thevenusproject . com - 75 years of research from Jacque Fresco gave rise to the idea of a Resource Based Economy etc. There is much more thorough information there than on the Zeitgeist websites. Please go to the source! Thank you! :)
People who cannot see there is a problem with our society feel this way because they are very much brainwashed by the cult of capitalism.
They will defend this flawed system until it chokes them to death because they believe it is ethical and just when in fact it is a now very tired rung on the ladder of social evolution and it's day's are most definitely numbered.
I had originally nearly dismissed the RBE idea without bothering to look into it because I unquestioningly 'believed' that human nature makes it completely 'impossible' to have a world without war, crime and poverty. Now I understand how poorly educated and stupid my 'belief' was.
@gdykes "1875 that would have been well before these people were even born!" You think, sherlock! Thats the problem with these protesters - very little intelligence, very few supporters of the movement. You are the 0.1%
1875 that would have been well before these people were even born! Were their views represented when this law was put though?! Politics fails to take in to consideration changes technology's that could be used to benefit society and there for politics is obsolete. Time for a Resources Based Economy!
@vidic245 Hi ..Look up the Venus Project and the Zeitgeist movement... the Resource Based Economy is a fantastic idea once you have looked into it, and once you do understand it you realise it's this monetary system that is completely crazy.
@vidic245 go to thezeitgeistmovement com. Then under the education bar click on "Orientation". There you will find what you need. Watch the orientation video. Also chech out the youtube channel "TZMOfficialChannel"
@vidic245 Go to thezeitgeistMovement dot (com). there is a movie on youtube. A couple of them. Zeitgeist addendum and Zeitgeist Moving Forward. Over ten million views at last count when I looked which was a while ago.
The Venus project is an example of one so you can look that up too. many videos on it on here. I been teaching my local occupies on it.
By the way there still will be some work but done by choice and technology will do a lot of it and continue to do so as it is already is. called Technological unemployment which is being hidden under the term jobless recovery.
No starving people and no greedy people. Human behavior changes in the money system so it will normalize in the RBE.
@lemsip just had a look at it, you're stupid bro, it CAN'T be a cult.. cult's don't have goals. As a 4th year engineer, i'm well aware of technology and the free markets inherent need to maintain consumption. These guys are just advocating an awareness of the scientific method and technology (which can ONLY be a good thing). If you consider that a cult, we have some other HUGE problems.
@vidic245 You're the one who's stupid round here. When you call somebody you don't stupid it really means that you're stupid. All the Venus Project does if if comes about is make humanity even more reliant on technology and more isolated from each other and from nature.
@lemsip TVP is "the application of science & technology for SOCIAL concern." Reliance on technology does not automatically entail isolation from each other or nature. Think about it: We create environmentally friendly, sustainable, clean cities, where wildlife is nearby, and is not in danger of getting hit by gas powered cars on sporadic roads and highways, or in danger of land/water pollution. With advanced automation & robotics, we'd have loads more free time to learn & interact w/eachother.
@vidic245 Its basically basing a countries wealth on the quantity and quality of its natural resources. This way you create abundance and when there's abundance then money pretty much becomes obsolete. It also requires a design revolution in order for this to work. For example, when we create a factory to make cars we have design these factories to be as automated as possible so that the production of cars is dependent on human labour, etc.
@vidic245 In turn people have the time to really think about what htey would like to do with their lives, wether it be working, studying, being with family etc. The quality of a persons life will also be a key factor to measuring wealth. If you can imagine doctors, scientists etc. will be that because they really want to and not because it pays well. Anyways, yeah check out new vision ireland dot org.
The trouble is if you don't have any understanding of the Resource Based Economy idea.....the idea of people having everything for 'free' just sounds crazy. It was great that it got mentioned on mainstream tv but I don't think that will have made people look into the idea.
@peterjol As you say, "it just sounds crazy"'...well, I can think of lots of things that sound crazy and one of them is that the current system meets only the needs of the financial institutions and that also sounds crazy with the speed of which technology has already moved us so far passed the need for it. If I can locate a tool or a plan for a tool and the resources to build it, that assists my life and assists the community with less the attention from financial gaming lords, why wouldn't I?
"no byelaw made under this Act by a local authority shall be of any effect if repugnant to the laws of England" Public Health Act 1875 PART V GENERAL PROVISIONS 182. Most of the statutes are repugnant to the laws of England (and presumably that would also apply to Wales).
This shocking unprofessional commentator is obviously intent on reporting in a biased way. Shame on you BBC for allowing this. Report yes, but do from an unbiased P.O.V.!

I am from cardiff and i want a capitalist state not a Fascist one.
We have not seen capitalism for a long time she as been asleep
Resource based economy sounds good but how you going to send 20 bananas in the post for a PlayStation game in Cuba.
Plus its a Zionist idea zeitgeist movement.
Resource backed money is better than a GDP based.
Capitalism would not have bailed out the banks.
