Thanks for this...this is the era that I grew up in and remember the most fondly. I used to log on to all the local BBS sites and download all kinds of cool shareware.  Hocus Pocus, Duke Nukem, Jill of the Jungle, Commander Keen, Halloween Harry...great games. I also loved some of the BBS text games like Barren Realms Elite and Legend of the Red Dragon. I remember getting into a huge fight with my friend after I used money he lent me to buy an army and destroy his realm in BRE...HAHA!
