Beautiful, tragic irony when you think about those lines and the cancellation of the series.

right at the end when he finally sees Serenity i can't help but smile, and i never do that for TV shows because to me when it comes to TV getting me to laugh is easy whole other thing to make me smile

This, was probably my favorite scene of the entire series. It just shows how much Mal has come to depend on them, to see them as family, and Nathan FIllion just acts the heck out of it. I can honestly say I'm choking up a little. *This* is quality story telling right here, and I hope that Fox desperately regrets their decision every day.

Up until this point, I liked this show. Once I saw this scene, I was in love with Firefly.

Firefly is the only work of fiction in the world, that I can truly and honestly say I love, and it is because of this scene.

Awh man, I think I got something in my eye. I never realized how deep this scene was, with such a simple line. I didn't fully understand this scene until now, when I'm older. The way he asks if they'll be there when he wakes up, it hit me deep.

I've seen this episode I don't know how many times. Finished again like three minutes ago and I think I got something in my eye when he says "You all gonna be here when I wake up?" That's never happened before. This show is like wine it gets better with age.
