  • You left out the best version, the original famicom version (Not the NES version).

  • awww....you didn't use the VR6 Castlevania 3 theme. :(

  • @ChessPieceRook *FC VRC6

  • @gonzmanX9

Yes, I know it's the famicom version, and yes, I misspelled that.

Yes, I feel like an idiot. XD

  • this song is so kickass but the japanese version in castlevania III is much better

  • love this one becus eit great opening ^_^

  • where is the "akumajou detsensu" version?

  • @Super0Andreu0Bros it's the first one, lol.

  • @cnh2132 no, men. you refear the castlevania 3 version. but the japanese version the music is fucking awesome por an NES. it really like 16 bit.

  • @Super0Andreu0Bros I guess you are right. The one from 0:00 is from the NES.

And i totally agree that the Famicom version kicks ass.

  • @Super0Andreu0Bros The Famicom version of the game had an extra sound chip.

  • El Mejor Es El Que Sale En El Dawn Of Sorrow

  • When did this track play in Dawn of Sorrow? I'm guessing it was somewhere in Julius Mode, which I haven't gotten around to playing yet.

  • @GoRedskinsAndWizards In the first area of game (Julius mode)

  • Rondo is the best intro track

  • Nocturne in the moonlight best

  • Which game is the one at 5:20 from? Sounds like Streets of Rage in the beginning and later.

  • @DarkestSymbiote please read the description. It's from Dracula X Nocturne in the Moonlight (Symphony of the Night - Sega Saturn version)

  • @incredicassio Alrighty.

  • Comment removed

  • dawn of sorrow is almost same as nocturne in the moonlight lulz

  • You're averaging .5 dislikes per year. GOOD WORK BRAH

  • 1 person has had a terrible night for a curse.

  • still missing the Japanese version of dracula's curses ver instruments are different (not to nitpick)

  • 0:50 Bad memories of an instant-death fear or spikes crop up

  • @DLAbaoaqu I still have the SNES, the CV4 cartridge, and play that motherfucker 1 - 3 times. And for some odd reason I never get impaled by the spikes on B - 2, I usually fall to my death. I hate the part where the floating boulders actually GO to the spikes before meeting that skeleton pterodactyl.

  • Every one after Castlevania IV sound like disco music. You know, the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Castlevania...

  • estan geniales solo ke te falto una cancion

    legacy of darknes intro

    solo ke no esta completa

  • estan geniales solo ke te falto una cancion

    legacy of darknes intro

  • Ok, IM sorry to bring it up. BUT true CV fans would remember the notorious game that was on th gameboy called Kid Dracula. I do believe the first stage is a rendition of Beginning, however written in a major progression rather than a minor and diminished progression heard traditionally with a typical castlevania game...

  • Despite the game's negative reception, I like (the SNES) Dracula X's version of The Beginning the best. If it were remixed with complete accuracy, I'd like it even more.

  • This, Stage 1 of Streets of Rage, and Dr. Wily Mega Man 2 is the holy trinity of VG music whoop-ass that will never be equalled.

  • ALL

  • KICKS

  • ASS

  • When I was younger I used to be afraid of the dark and monsters and stuff, until I played castlevania and heard that awesome overpowering music and now I feel like I can look the devil in the eye and beat his ass down! XD

  • Nocturne in the Moonlight version at 6:00 > all

    imho

  • And so, a new chapter begins.

  • @DJCandyManMike Eh, Ghouls and Ghosts is kinda silly in my opinion. Same with Ghosts and Goblins. But Castlevania, Man, It's serious fucking business.

  • Dawn Of Sorrow's version is great! That's one of the few versions of this song I hadn't heard yet, but it impressed me!

  • If your kids are afraid of the monsters under the bed, buy a NES/SNES, buy a Castlevania game for it, and have them play it until they beat it. No more fear.

  • @AkumajoDracuIa

Good call! Or else have them tame Ghosts N Goblins/Ghouls N Ghosts. They'll be working on that for a long time, though, longer than they would on Castlevania.

  • as always the best version is the original one, from caslevania 3

  • @bboyhanvzla, Search up "Akumajou Densetsu Music Beginning." That version was the original.

  • What about the version in Akumajo Denetsu, the Japanese Castlevania 3?

  • &fmt=18

  • Richter:Die monster you don't belong in this disco.

    Dracula:People invited me you fool.

Richter:That's a lie you steal men's dancing time and make them your disco balls.

Dracula:SHUT UP YOU FOOL,I WANT TO DANCE!

    Richter:OK YOU'RE ON!

  • The SNES versions doesn't sound like the beginning. They sound like the end

  • @eluu3, it kind of makes sense. In Super Castlevania IV and in the other SNES games, the famous songs from the NES games are in the last levels.

  • The best one is for Super Castlevania IV

  • Hay Dracula x sounds weird not like its bad it just sounds outa sink with the song so uh is it the song normal or maybe witch its the end of the world if it is wrong with you

  • Try Dawn Of Sorrow it's descent

  • i sing the rondo of blood and the dracula X version in the shower

  • Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka no Yasoukyoku - Nocturne in the Moonlight (1998) [Sega Saturn seems badass is it worth it to try to play?? or is Symphony of the night good enough? thanks guys

  • @scigamerfan07 I love the Drucula X version the most!!!

  • Ok, can I just say THANK YOU for putting up these compliation videos. I have always loved Castlevania's music, and these videos are both fun to listen to and an interesting look at the approaches of different Castlevania games. I sincerely appreciate you making the effort to upload them.

  • You should put the new Lords of Shadow part on this awesome video :)

  • I still don't find a good metal version of this

  • @demoniosinalas

there was a wild midi version out years ago by Ricoberto Dones. with some wingroove magic combined with a great but now dead Turtle beach appy, it was a good Death Metal ish tune

  • You could also go to OCRemix DOT org & check out goat's CV covers but I suggest you take your socks off first.

  • video game musicians of the early days...I salute you.

you immortalize yourselves with your badass 8-bit.

and I love you. <3 long time

  • Where can I get the SOTN version of The Beginning by itself?

  • @SanguineSymphony its an exclusive song of the sega saturn version

  • @CloudStrifeZX

that much I was aware of. I was just looking for it independently on the site and not in one of these collection videos. I found it later after a few mins of searching.

  • Somewhat ironically, there was no song called "Beginning" in the beginning.

  • this is great bro!

  • 0:00 classic 0:50 memroble 1:45 good but not beter 3:07 exelent if you like the genisis 3:59 better than rondo 5:18 fits the game perfectly 8:21 right in the beggining of julius mode my favourite version of beggining

  • One of these is substantially better than the others.

  • Great videos! Get the tracks from the Japanese version of Castlevania III for Famicom / FDS on there... they sound much ballsier (and better IMHO) than the American version (Castlevania II though, different story). You should be able to find the NSF files for it out there... it's called "Akumajo Densetsu" in Japanese.

  • HAHAHAH ya vi este video como 50 veces :Q_____________________ jeje es de mis favoritas y tiene una calidad de sonido tu video ;D saludos (:

  • 5:18 reminds me of something from DarkStalkers. Like from Morrigan and such.

  • Akumajo dracula x: gekka no yasoukyoku version sounds o2jam-like

  • what about judgement?

  • Get the actual FC version. Not the NES version

  • @shalpp Famicom CV3...srsly?

  • With the VRC6 chip it sounds sexy

  • beginning (L)

  • Wait what happen to aria of sorrows I remember it had one it just diden sound like it tho but still where is it 5/5

  • Saturn versions are an insult to the original ones.

  • @Hellcat87 So is bloodlines version.

  • i love the fact that you always get all the songs after you beat a castlevania game!!!

  • I like ^^ The Beginning By My :)

  • O_o Akumajo Dracula got Bloody Tears intro a little o_O

  • castlevania has some of the best music I have heard in a video game

  • super casltevania 4 its the best castlevania and it have the word super on it.

  • my favs are castlevania 3, Dracula x, rondo of blood and dxc

  • castlevania 3 always

  • IMO SCIV is best version

  • The Dracula X version reminds me of Metroid

  • Castlevania Bloodlines version sounds like a bonus stage

  • The Castlevania Bloodlines version just makes you wish you were Evil...

  • Hey man cool that you put this up :)

  • sometimes i miss my old famicon and castlevania is that reason. but the bills have to be paid somehow.

  • In the version that begins at 5:18 I imagine youn people dancing at the background, as though they were in a nice anthro, while one of the belmonts killing zombies at the front. in 2D.

  • That is for my project, a Castlevania ambiented in the '70s, with an afro Vampire Hunter

  • Afrovania? Sounds disco-licious!

"Die foo, you don't belong in this disco!"

"It was not by my hand that I am once again given bribes. I was called here by bankers, who wish to pay me tribute!"

"Tribute?! Yo' steal men's souls, and make them your slaves!"

"Perhaps the same could be said of all police departments..."

"Yo' words are as empty as yo' soul. This city ill needs a savior such as YOU!"

"What is a city? A miserable little pile of secrets! But enough talk, let's dance! *rollerblades*"

  • You are hired for the dialog, my dear friend. NOW FOR THE REST OF THE CREW!!!

  • Sounds interesting, but I ain't really looking for anything like that. Thanks, but I politely have to decline.

You can use that bit of dialogue I did, though. Hell, I won't need it.

  • You made me lol hard great job

  • @GmodPlusWoW awesome 5/5

  • @GmodPlusWoW WIN

  • @GmodPlusWoW That reminds me of the time me and some classmates made a disco vampire movie...

  • @Forzatoadv

Like um.. Blade The vampire hunter !

  • I'm sure someone already mentioned this but you should have added the Famicom version since it's different from the NES one.

  • i think that.. the sound cards.. and 8 bit sound have a lot to do with that

  • Anyone else unable to listen to the CVIV track without hearing falling blocks lol?

  • By the way the remix on sfc is the best

  • good stuff man, nevertheless u ve forgot the remix on opus on psp, go check yourself it s called dreams of triumph

  • i personal think, this is one of the less good castlavania songs

  • This needs the true original Akumajō Densetsu (Japanese CVIII) version of "Beginning".

  • @Buzda not the same then the original nes CV3 beginning? :/

  • Correct. All of the songs have 3 additional channels.

  • 1) Pretty rad, going by NES standards, of course. (Even though it does sound a bit ropey at the beginning. No pun intended.)

    2) Awesome as always. =)

    3) I think I prefer the SNES (DracX) variant better.

    4) Awful as always.

    5) Yep, I was right. I DO like this one better than that of Rondo. (Although the way it's being played here does it no justice.)

    6) This variant got well-and-truly raped.

    7) It's good, but it kinda pales in comparison to most of the other tracks on DoS.

  • IMO Bloodlines isn't that bad.

  • The game itself isn't bad, I can agree with that. The music, however...

  • Eh, it had better music than Harmony of Dissonance that's for sure.

  • Then again, that's not exactly a difficult task to accomplish. =P (Even though HoD was a fairly solid game in itself.)

  • True it was definitely a fun game, in fact the first game I played and enjoyed (first game I actually played was Adventure, which was ass), though I think the music could have been good if it sounded more up to par with the GBA's sound.

  • Speaking of Adventure, that was actually one of the first Castlevania games I'd ever played. (And beat. Not easy to do, that.)

  • The first 3 castlevanias have awesome Stage 1 music.

  • castlevania 2 didnt have stages

  • It was still one of the first songs you heard.

  • Castlevania 3 with the sound chip (jap version) is awesome..

  • i agree,it sunds like FDS but why wasnt included i the video? T_T

  • correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't Kid Dracula's first stage music a remix of Beginning?

  • Did you mean from the game "Akumajou Special: Boku Dracula Kun" for the Famicom Disk System?

  • Well, yeah, that's one version... A somewhat different English version of the game also exists for the Gameboy.

  • The Japanese titles, what Castlevanias are those?, The beginning version of the second one was prety cool.

  • Dracula X's version sounds terrible...it hurts my ears...badly, in my opinion though

  • dracula x vampires kiss is great or thats the one you dont like?

  • Castlevania is awesome. Period.

  • I'm glad Dawn of Sorrow didn't dick around with the classic Castlevania themes, but just freshened them up a bit. Not like Nocturne in the Moonlight. What IS that?

  • This song is just so epic. No matter what you're doing, you can hum or even just imagine this song in your head and it suddenly becomes a heroic deed.

Mowing the grass? Not anymore! Now you're SLAYING the grass!!

  • true

  • awesome comment ^5

  • @IgkuitBBswm Thats hilarious and awesome. I busted up laughing at that last sentence there. And so true too.

  • the dracula x version makes me law

  • me too xD

  • These are great. Thanks for the upload!

  • Beginning is definitely the best Castlevania song. Thanks for this!

  • Dam all the songs in Super Castlevania are hot even today' You're the best for your efforts'

  • you must upload another Beginning music for Dracula X Chronicles and Judgement.

  • There's a video response with the tracks I missed due to the time limit. I think I still missed two or three tracks, I just didn't want to reach another time limit on the video response. I might make another response these days with the other three tracks I missed.

  • I still think the original Castlevania 3 version is the best one. The dance music twist in the Sega Saturn version is pretty interesting though.

  • The most badass song in Castlevania history.
