@laskolasko well its a hard thing, u know, i used to do it constantly but my muscle got tired as fuck and i injury even just for stand up lol. anyway, i recommend u gotta let the muscles rest at least one day, don't push urself and always do it close a wall u don't wanna muscle tear, good luck and im about 20 cms now :D

@MrFlyingKicker really ? i ask to my hapkido master he said its because we are nor flexing the entire body to the sides, he said once you manage to do the splits, with one hand touch your rigth foot then change to the leg, then try to reach the foot with your head and like that, that will reduce the hip pain
@bluetube147 It's also called Isometric Stretching (I THINK! :D)
Basically you do the stretch as far as you can normally, back off a bit, then tense and hold the muscles used (in this case, your quads), once you release the tension, you can increase the stretch a lot more than you would be able to normally.

@bluetube147 well i stretch yea but not until total pain jsut a bit of pain, but the ice can be 2 weeks later of the injury ? and use it after stretching ? im on a hapkjido calss and we kick and yea but i don't feel pain or at least a bit on really high kicks, but when i try to doing the splits fuck now that's where i can feel the pain, even tho its not much its annoying, i can make 100 grades without pain but from 140 fuck the heck it starts on pain
if it feels like something is burning and ripping then your going to far if it feels like something is preventing you from going further (like my hips were when attempting the side splits) then you may just need conditioning and stretching in that area
i train in kung fu i dont know about you guys but we gotta condition and strengthen like every little part of our body so i have a lot of experience with pain lol

@JMRG2992 Yes i watched it you seem to have the pain in the area i was having you gotta strengthen the legs
strengthen all your muscles in your legs and hips (hips are a big issue) try the pilate side leg lift thing
you can search it up and make sure you stretch the hips as well i found the hip to be a big issue
and you seem to be talking about the groin so in that case yes im pretty positive it's a muscle tear (imflammation) just put ice on it hope this helps (im like 8cm off the ground lol)

@JMRG2992 yes i forgot to mention that when you attempt the side splits or a side kick etc tilt your pelvis inward
this means to stick your ass a little out the reason why is because your hips are sockets and when your leg goes sidewards without sticking the ass a little bit out the ball of the socket stops your leg from going further causing pain
and what money lol pilates are a type of exercise you do at home 3 times a week not go and buy lessons or equipment lol

basically what i think is going on here is you got a little bit of imflammation or something similar
put ice on it for 15 minutes 2 times a day with atleast a hour between each iceing session
if you dont see improvments within two weeks lemme know and ill do some research for ya
When you stretch aim to just keep your flexibility around where it is for the area that hurts untill its better
dont put strain on the area
