  • fuck yeah, that was a hell of a band!! just listen to bring back that leroy brown

  • Roger vocals were so beautiful back then, just pure beauty to listen to it.

  • Check my queen medley in my youtube chanel

  • 2:55 - 3:00 Deaky I love you.

  • March of the Black Queen! A nice treat.

  • Excellent...all of them. But John's bass playing is awsome. Sadly missed.

  • Brian, your guitar in lap of the gods is mesmerizing...

  • I wasn't even born ... and I love those Queen first years.

Oh Roger .... why u kept on smoking? u lost your beautiful voice and those falsettos !

  • @norteamericana100 freddie have smoking a lot

  • @missthilde20

I think Roger smoked more and was wilder...

As for Freddie , smoking and drinking might have reduced his life span and chance of survival having AIDS ..

His lover ( "husband") Jim Hutton, also HIV+ survived more than 20 years without developing AIDS , ironically he died the 1st of January 2010 victim of cancer

Any way , I love all of them

Roger's smoky voice is still SEXY as hell , even if he can't reach the high notes anymore.

PS- smoking is bad , nothing good in smoking

  • Mesmerized by Bring Back That Leroy Brown!

  • ukulele banjo :)

  • Amazing footage!

  • The Lap of the God is hypnotising ... It's one of my favourite songs :)

  • Another 8 minutes of BLISS from Queen ... thanks for posting.

  • wow Roger! my jaw actually dropped at his high notes no joke!

  • A big THANK YOU to QueenLive1974 for uploading these videos, I really enjoyed it!

  • Music has definetely gone down hill the past 10 or 15 years if not more.....At least we have true passionate music like this that will last forever...Love it!!!

  • OMG - Bring Back That Leroy Brown was amazing! Can you imagine any of today's so called "musicians" doing that live on stage? What a joke! Freddie would roll over in his grave (even though he was cremated) if he could see what passes for music now.

  • @TheClassica87 Or rise from the dead to bring us some rock from the afterlife.

  • Best band ever. Better than you know who.

  • That's definitely my favorite live performance of the band. Superb!

  • The abbey road medley is still my favorite.

  • their best performance ever! in terms of music absolutely gorgeous, what a band, the voices the playing the look the lyrics just wonderfull!!!!!

  • Rogers high range is incredible. What a voice.

  • "If I could reach up and hold a star for every time you made me smile, I would have the whole night sky in the palm of my hand."..Happy Birthday my love

  • @fmarsong That was a lovely thing to say and you would have to share the stars with me and the other people like us who adore this band.

  • which is the best software to convert this into AVI ? Theses collections have to be preserved in DVD for all time to come.

  • i will reign with my left hand and i ll rule with my right, i m the lord of the darkness i m queen of the night.. i got the power... now i do the march of the black queen (roger: my life is in your hand i'll foo and i ll fie) , i ll be what you make me, i ll do what you like i ll be a bad boy i ll be a bad boy i ll do the march of the black queen...

  • don't despreciate amazing songs like another one bites the dust or crazy little thing called love, all queen songs are great and that's is a prove of the great capacity of the band to make a lot of songs in diferent music styles and all are good. queen rocks!

  • When I find new videos of Queen, I realize that they were real musicians, really, are just four people and sounds like many would like to do nowadays. Even my uncle who plays Mexican native music, he asked me to record a queen album, let me know if that's not cool.

  • I LIVE MY LIFE FOR YOU,THINK ALL MY THOUGHTS WITH YOU AND ONLY YOU....PURE BRILLIANCE!

Roger with his amazing falsetto,Freddie with his voice charm and piano performance,John the super bassist making the rhythm,Brian(omg i love his hair)his guitar solos THEY ARE THE KILLER QUEENS DOING THE MARCH OF THE BLACK QUEEN

  • this was brilliant!

  • i feel soo sad whit the songs of queen but i can`t stop of hear their music

  • excellent!

  • Roger is amazing too!

  • 7:30 how cool they got the banjo on it, in the live version. they rocked 'bring back that leroy brown'.

  • In the lap of the gods just amazingly done and the rest brilliant!

  • dude.... just WOW, the last 2 minutes blew my mind!!

  • john deacon is true coooool

  • 6:06 Now we know where James Hetfield got his "Ooh Yeah-eah" habits.

  • Sheer BRILLIANCE!

  • This in DVD! ASAP!!!!

  • this is indeed the ultimate queen medley! acutally this is just the ULTIMATE MEDLY. PERIOD.

  • Wow - What a Fab Melody. Freddie Rocks and does terrific Ballads. Neville Bardoli

  • Fuck that lst song was superb..!!!!!

  • My problem with Queen is that hearing them never seems enough, must see them too.... Love you Freddie :)

  • the switch from Killer Queen to March of the black queen is just brilliant.

  • I reign with my left hand, I rule with my right... Love that song. Brilliant.

  • WOW This is awesome!!!!

  • I think Queen performed In the Lap of the Gods quite excellently and that they should have played it more often.

  • @darkr1d3r1 Yeah, check out the song at wembley

  • I miss you Freddie always and forever..

  • This my favorite live Queen performance ever, it's flawless!! And I love Freddie's hair, make-up, and outfit, he looks quite ridiculously hot :DDD

  • yea, even though im a male and hetrosexual (i think :-P) i must agree, he looked really hot back then :-)

  • I would have this concert as a playlist on my ipod!!!!

  • JUST PERFECT!

  • R.I.P Freddie the best musician that ever lived!

  • Why is this stuff not easily available on DVD - or is it? This early stuff is 100 times better and so much more sonically interesting than the 80s stadium rock.

  • this was the time before bohemian rhapsody, somebody to love, we are the champions, another one bites the dust and others...

now, who says their greatest hits albums contains the most amazing queen songs ever?

  • Freddie was really a genius. I miss him, I love him.

  • At this time in career, as Freddie put it, "They were making 200 $ (pounds) a month and their manager was on their second Rolls Royce, there seem to be a problem!!" Imagine, being that bleeping good and making 50 a week!!

  • Seriously, why don't they release this stuff on dvd? We have enough from the 80-86 years.

  • I know right

  • IS JUST ME OR ROGER FORGOT TO SING?5:48

  • This is incredible!! Queen got Great..because they ALREADY WERE!!!

  • Wow the leroy brown part!! loooove it

  • WOOOOOO OOOOH LAA LAA LAAAAA

  • every time i hear roger's vocals on "lap" i melt. this is a fantastic medley, if not the best.

    queen in their best years!

  • this version of Lap of Gods kickass My opinion, but then again, so does the new version :) but nice to hear another theme and feeling

  • yeah i think the same

  • if i get more good queen songs i will have a "Sheer Heart Attack"!!!

  • THIS IS FABULOUS! :O

  • I'm pretty sure my face just got blown off from how amazing that was. I wish I could have been there... though if I had actually experienced it for real, I may have exploded!

  • Incredible =)

  • naw.. u can see roger leanin into the microphone in the background.. he's bound to have done it??

  • No doubt about it. Queen were blessed with three good singers. You have to be impressed with a guy who can hit the skins like RT and give out vocals like that.

I am always in awe of the sound the three got together. The acapella start of Fat Bottomed Girls at the MK bowl in'82 was said for years, by nay sayers to be a recording because no way could just three voices sound like that live. WRONG lol

For me live, I love the way RT and Freds vocals mix live, almost indiscernible at times.

  • Comment removed

  • Were Roger's vocals overdubbed for Lap of the Gods? They sound almost too perfect to be live, not to mention he wouldn't want to do that for a whole tour.

  • No idea but I've never heard of Queen doing such things

  • as far as i know, heard and watched those vocals are genuine and are really performed live and yeah queen never overdubbed their vocals or instruments (except of course the opera section of bohrap but that's a different thing) :)

  • That is correct. The reason they walk off stage on Bo Rhap is because they wanted to make the point that they do to mime to music.

I know the Montreux music festival was mimed for TV....but hey that was just a big party lol

These guys even frowned at synthesisers at this point in time..they wanted everything to be them ...LIVE shame most acts have forgotten that.

I prefer music live and real, if Fred can't quite get the note or May breaks a string it is real, on the edge of disaster music to me.

  • YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!

  • Imagine Freddie Mercury and Matt Bellamy singing a duet.

  • HELL TO THE YES......OMG!!!

  • fuckin' awesome

    J Deacon Rules

  • i'm in love with the 'ANYTIME" at 4:20 !!!

  • Greats songs, great sound , great group......

    GRANDE FREDDIE MERCURY

  • Queen Rocks! Brian is so cute, too! <3 well ,and an amazing guitarist!

  • In The Lap Of The Gods sounds so beautiful live!

  • I AGREE!!

  • I love this medley so much!

  • Listening to Freddie's voice is like being in touch with nature...like breathining in the ocean breeze by the beach...or enjoying the mountains, basking in the sun, or dancing in the rain...

  • I couldn't explain it any better! Freddie's a great singer! :)

  • Then, How will you describe to hear the 'Queen' as a whole?

It must be better than that...:D

  • AWESOME....

  • I much prefer the live version of The Lap of the Gods, especially the vocals.

It's a bit scary on the studio album!

  • this is probably the best I've seen them live

  • freddie looks most beautiful when he sings, the man who was born to sing

  • roger rocks here!

  • Love march of the black queen. Laps of the Gods is pwnage in Wembley 86 and all songs ruuuuuck!!! :D

  • wow, i always liked these songs from the album and if not for youtube, i probably would have never seen this stuff. awesome, if you're a fan. roger does look (and sound) like robert plant! deacon is hilarious staring up at the sky like he's bored to death. freddie is his usual effeminate self and brian may is amazing live on his homeade guitar.

  • I love this medley.

  • I just love watching at this young Freddie! :)

    Voice; lovely as usual!

    Songs: great selection!

  • he had a certain amount of arrogance but he was never a dick about it. he was a very respectful person.

  • There is a god....Queen be thy name.

  • 2:14 ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,lo amo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is so great, it seems they have been much better at the beginning

  • hey ! wtf is robert plant doing behind the drums?! why isnt it mentioned anywhere?

  • are u crazy?:P

  • Roger's hair was, I think, the longest it ever was here. (On the Sheer Heart Attack album cover, it's edited, not his actual hair. He wanted it to look ridiculous.)

  • I was born 3 years after Freddie's death, and I can't believe that he's death, I just can't accept it. But since I got use of reason, every single day of my life I've heard the voice of Freddie Mercury. AND I THANK GOD FOR THAT!!!

    We still love you Fred!!!!

  • same for me

god gave freddie a mission when he was born,

and that was to be the best singer ever

  • Unbelievable!! Awesome!!! :DDD

  • So good!

    Thanks!!

    George Vreeland Hill

  • For my day to even COUNT- I need to see Freddie and his brilliance at LEAST once daily- but usually multiple sessions....thank sweet baby Jesus for FREDDIE MERCURY- HE'S A GOLDEN GOD!!!!

  • I can't live without Freddie's voice at least one a day either. He is so addicting I don't know what it is about him, it drives me nuts.

  • love roger's vocals on in the lap of the gods

  • Amazing! How does he reach those notes?

  • Nice to hear Fred's actual voice on "In the Lap of the Gods." Greatest live singer ever.

  • Deaky was having a blast!

  • sheer qualtiy, no limits to their ability no-one can touch them. ps went to see paul rogers and queen in newcastle uk brilliant gig pity about the crowd boring prats that lot was told to sit down when brian was rocking out tie your mother down i mean "come on"

  • i know the feeling.. i saw them at their second london O2 date.. and the guy in front of my didnt stand up or clap once! not once! and he didnt stand for the national anthem! show some respect! so i kicked his chair.. =]

i was going crazy but everyone around me was sitting down! SITTING DOWN! Sorry!?

And yelled 'I LOVE YOU BRIAN' after it went all quiet after Love of My Life..

and omgosh! i think i was the only one singing as loud as possible for Love Of My Life and '39.. It almost went silent!

  • That doesn't happened in Spain. I went to one of their 3 gigs here and the crowd was completely mad, and there were no chairs, everyone shouting and singing along all the songs. I really lost my voice. Check my video (I only uploaded one) or search for "queen concierto murcia" and you will see... it was incredible.

  • I meant "That didn't happen in Spain", I think... Sorry for the mistakes.

  • the greatest live performances of any band or anyone in the history of music - led by the greatest entertainer that we will ever know - Freddie Mercury - has anyone ever made their audience feel more connected to a performance than this beautiful man?

  • great great performance of the greatest quartet..QUEEN!!!ohh Freddie missss yah

  • Only Queen could segue from a song like March of the Black Queen to a song like Bring Back That Leroy Brown - and pull it off! :D

    I love it!

And where did that ukelele come from?! :L

  • this guys are fuckin GODS!!!!!!!

  • Long Live Queen, the Champions of all rock bands!

    Bring back that Freddie Mercury!!!

  • Yeah!!!!!

  • i want him back!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol

  • ROGER!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love seeing Freddie's hands flutter all over the keyboard while he's belting out a beautiful tune. It's amazing he can do it simultaneously. He makes us feel like he is singing to each of us. Beautiful.......

  • in the lap of the gods...i shiver when I hear it.. *.*

  • when he goes "yeah, yeah, oowhooooaa yeaaaaaaa" @ 6:06 - 6:11...that's what I'm talking about right there. Perfectly Smooth Vocals.

  • I ENVY SO MUCH the ones who could live in the 70's! i was born in 1987 but im a true queen fan, fuck all these moderns shits, the good old fashioned rock'n'roll is what's best!

  • Don't worry! I was Rocking to Queen from the beginning, but we didn't have the TUBE to turn on every night and surf for Queen videos like this. The fact that you know Rock n Roll is the best means you have great taste, and you will have a great life enjoying it. Rock on baby!

  • i love those falsetto screams of rog!

  • excelente video yesta integro espero que algun día saquen esos conciertos me gusta mucho esta mezcla en la época de Queen de principios d elos 70's thank's

  • Best band forever.

    8 minutes of pure tallent.

    Brilliant

  • leroy brown!! grandi

  • I'm in love with his voice in this video.....

Happy B-Day Freddie wherever you are......

  • freaking amazing, true excellent performers, why don't they release this in an official DVD????

  • Queens 7 first albums where the best

  • queen was one of the best bands ever

noone has even tried to copy their style

    cuz you cant

im grateful i grew up during this time, and saw the best music ever created

  • i seen this lot 1979 i wish i seen them around 1974/5

  • stunning falsetto of roger!

  • amazing medley~~

  • I'll do the march of the black queen!

  • I love this!! This is awesome!!

  • omg..

    very quality

  • Wow, I never realized how talented Queen was.

  • This is brilliant, I love Queens medleys, their songs always go well with eachother.

  • la musica en suplenitud

  • No words...

  • they shouldve done the all of March of The Black Queen

  • The reason that they didn't do it, was because they couldn't. It has a polyrhythm beat with an 8/8 and 12/8 time signature. So basically they would need 2 drummers. For the part which they played though they could manage with 1 drummer. As far as i m away it is the only Queen song like this, and is very rare in the industry.

  • Is that an alternative version of "In the lap of the Gods" or something? Never heared it like that before:o

  • yeah, it has different lyrics

  • You don't have Sheer Heart Attack then?

  • Maybe you have In the Lap of the Gods and In the Lap of the Gods... Revisited confused.
