I want to add that like someone said, on that video she was singing softly and here she is singing out...but that does not mean she sang in falsetto or head
@okebaram She was singing in a falsetto-type voice because she was in public..I would say more head-and-throat voice and not so much diaphragm as in this video...primarily because women don't have a technical falsetto such as men
@drummajor210 I have to disagree. I forget the name of the group she sings with, but she sings soprano, and she was singing in full voice on that ihop medley video, not falsetto. I really can tell, and that was definitely not head voice or falsetto. Rather, that video was probably before she hit the "second change" in her voice which happens like at 19 - 23 yrs of age, and it might have been a relaxed or good voice day in addition. My voice can be very different on different days too.
@okebaram I said it wasn't falsetto....but you can tell that it is not singing out...Therefore it is NOT full voice...but singing more from her throat because the timbre of her voice is muted because her vocal approach is different in the ihop medley....but that's all for me
@drummajor210 I'm not trying to disagree with you, but you know how a person can still sing in full voice but soften their voice, if they have the voice flexibility and natural "liquidness" which most sopranos do. Call it mixed voice, or passaggio or whatever, but she was still in her full voice, full voice meaning her real voice like speaking voice, not head voice. She was actually singing with a "mixed" tone from the mask, not from her throat, I would say. Yes,she displayed an amazing range!
@drummajor210 after watching the ihop video again, I will edit my comment to say we are both right. I believe she was singing softly in full voice and head voice (switching in-between). Some of the notes were head voice to give a softer or lyrical quality, and the high note too... but I'm sure she wasn't thinking of what she was singing in (full or not) but just singing and using her voice well you know. Anyway she has a fantastic head voice as well as a fantastic chest voice. Gifted
@boipsalmist I respect your opinion. But I will say she was singing in full voice for the most part, softly or some will say mix voice, and the ONLY times she switched into head voice aka "falsetto" were on the run on "prove" (from "how I've proved Him") and the high note on "over" toward the ending. You might not hear that, but I hear that. I love the versatility of her voice
@okebaram you may have started there but she didnt stay! if you listen to all of her vids you will rightly recognize the difference. I have been following her for quite some time...
bless you!
