Mp5 from CoD4. All you 12 year olds don't remember the joy that was that gun. It was the gun version of Jesus Christ. Easily the best SMG of any CoD game. Fuck the UMP. Fuck the P90. Fuck the Ak74u (the things not even an SMG for Christ's sake). The MP5 was where it was at.

Secondly, the AK74 was far superior to the mp5 in the by far best rendition of CoD4, promod. Even on console, the difference between the two was minimal, in fact the only reason the mp5 was used a bit more was that it was slightly better at range. Both guns should have been in this game, in the same form that they were in cod4.

@StandingWhy The AK74U was an AK74 (which is an assault rifle) that was made shorter and given a smaller stock so that it could be used by Soviet tank crews. It is 100% an assault rifle in real life. And while the 74u and Mp5 had identical stats in Cod4 (The 74u had slightly better bullet penetration, slightly), the MP5 would just handled better and felt right. I could never use the 74u nearly as well as I could as the Mp5, an the Mp5's popularity in that game speaks for itself.

Regardless, this is CoD, a GAME where you can sponge a bullet to the head and recover within 5 seconds.

First of all, their stats were not the same. Secondly, the 'popularity' you speak of is coming from what, console pub matches? Niice.

@StandingWhy Ask any one who knows anything about guns and they will tell you that the AK74u is an Assault rifle. It is the Shortened carbine version of the AKS-74 which is a smaller, more compact version of the AK-74. It's an Assault rifle.

And their stats actually were the same if you look at the actual stats and not the ones IW gives because those are never accurate. And yes I'm basing their "popularity" of pup matches. What else would I base it off? Like seriously, what are you getting at?

Wrong, their stats were different both on the ingame display AND the config weapon stats.

Pubs mean absolutely nothing, the ak47 is one of the most overused guns in CoD4 console, hardly the best weapon though.
