@3838jessy People ARE forgetting what music is, but I don't esteem this musical expression of romantic love as highly as lots of other songs and/or compositions, and, really, I am a little suspicious of what sort of romantic love this song might be celebrating--it is pleasant and tender, but there's no melody to speak of, it makes me feel no passion, I don't think it is very deep--compare it with Mozart's "Elvira Madigan."
@derek4ur I disagree. I think this song conveys great passion and love though I prefer the first love theme but it is still beautiful nonetheless. If you think its not very deep then you must not have an imagination or at least not be very sensitive or a sense of tenderness both of which this song gives as well.

For me, though, it is so very subdued--and I don't typically associate such mellow calm with what I call, "passion." Maybe I just need to be more open-minded. I'm impressed, quite, that he contributed nine songs to Bertolucci's, "The Last Emporer," and quite like his title theme for that film. But: I have goofed, pretty much--I have spoken where I knew not, and prematurely. He IS talented.
