senna had so much bad luck. there are many races where he was leading by a large margin, and had technical failure and dnf.

In fact, in 1989, races where both Senna and Prost finished, Senna won every one of them.

At 9:14 the commentator said: "...Ayrton Senna probably the fastest driver in any condition.." Senna won the 60% of his rain races. The second one has only 40%.

@pimpedvw He once said and it's on tape, that if he had to pick one driver to be considered the best of all time, Schumacher picked Senna. If it wasn't for Senna's death, the 90'swould have been the golden age for F1!

Imagine Senna and Schumacher head-to-head both on top form!

I was at this race, in fact Senna parked his smoking Maclaren right in front of the grandstand where I was seated. Senna was simply sensational in this race, especially his drive in the wet on slicks, and then his charge to first place when he switched to rains. With all due respect to Thierry Boutsen, it was Senna who deserved to win. His engine let him down 3 laps from the end with a big lead.

@tor378a Motorsport is a team sport. Senna was the face of the team but he never won a race purely on his own doing, as great as he was.

@JDBEDORE ... For sure. But for people to get better and better positions, with better cars, must deserve that. So, to drive mp4/4 was a privilege for Senna and Prost, that conquered that position. For Mansell drive that 91/92 Willians it was a conquer too. Without that cars they would get less in their careers, for sure. But its not clear if who was driving that mp4/4 was a inferior driver, they would win 15 of 16 GPs that 88 year. So lets be fair with the drivers and their merits.
