Yes, we know that Tolkien would probably have never made a gay character on purpose, but you have to admit that Legolas is about as close as you can get. He never married and spent his life traveling around with Gimli. You will notice that nearly every important male character in Tolkien's writing gets married at some point, except for Legolas and Gimli.
You are the only person who is taking these things seriously. I don't see anyone on here, including myself, who claimed to actually believe that he is gay. All slash is a "what if". The result of human curiosity. It is not slander. You need to relax.

Uh... I donno where you're getting your info, but Legolas definitely didn't have children. He traveled throughout Middle Earth with Gimli, then settled in Ithilien and lived there until Aragorn died, when he sailed West and took Gimli with him. Kthx.
In the second book Legolas sayes that the Fangorn forest is so old that he feels young again, and he haven´t felt young since he was out traveling with his children, so I just assoume that he has children becouse he is saying that. But he is 3000 years old, perhaps their adults and travel to the West whit the ather elves before him. I knew this history I´m a fan and i read the story, but I think that Legolas himself knows what he is speaking about, really
Well lagolas is a prince so it is possible someone else cares for his children, or whatever, but he says himself that he has children, so I guess that he has, but i know myself how easy it is to forget something. The books is long and have much information in them, and some parts is so boring that it is easy to skim them...

I think the images in this are beautiful. I love most of the artists. Zain, and the Theban Band. Theyre amazing. (Not to mention the pairing is one of my favorites of all time.) And you did a good job putting the pics together. Despite what most people here are saying, Legolas is supposed to be beautiful. All elves are painfully beautiful, eve to the point of being feminine. The fact that people only ever complain about Legolas being slashed and not Aragorn, though he's just as much a part of this video, is further proof of how easy it is to infer that his character is at least bisexual. Just like how the most vocal homophobes usually have homosexual tendencies, the most vocal anti-slash fans are probably those who would enjoy it if they let themselves have a sense of humor.

What a lovely vid, and so well put together. Personally I didn't like the girly pictures of Legolas because I'm a slasher at heart- all man for me please lol. No complaints, I just don't like the faintly het air it gives their relationship when he looks so feminine. Excellent though

Everyone who has read the book or watched the film knows, how much Aragorn loves Arwen, and he'd never cheat on her, etc, etc. But it doesn't mean that we aren't allowed to imagine love between Aragorn and someone else. Well, it is very good quality art-work i'll give it that, but Aragorn wouldn't cheat on Arwen, be it with male or female! He exemplifies Tolkiens ideals. Honour, Courage, Compassion and Fidelity/Loyalty!

That doesn't go with the actual movie at all. In the movie, Legolas only has friends and has no "official" loves. Not to mention that Aragorn is TOTALLY in love and obsessed with Arwin!!!!! Alright. I checked three of my 5 copies of TTT just to be sure, and they all said "as I have not felt since I journeyed with you children". I don't know what copy you have, but it's obviously a typo.

The answer is that it is a translated book. And this just makes clear that it´s a crappy translation. (A really bad one) Well I stil think that it would be unlikely that Legolas and Aragorn would have a relationship, I think that was what this was originally about, like three weaks ago. O the other hand, is Arwen and Aragorn together in the real book? You can never know...

Yeh, at least that´s the same! I think Tolkien was a bit afraied of women... at least Jackson is not. It is more Arwen in the movies. She helped them with the nasgules in the first film but in the book that was a guy to! Gorfindel rigth? Someone should do a new wersion with only girls instead, that could be interesting! Arwen would be the hero and Aragorn would be like, walking around picking flowers... I think I have to rigth that book myself. Hilarious

According to The Two Towers, chapter five of book three, Legolas' exact words are, "So old that almost I feel young again, as I have not felt since I journeyed with you children. It is old and full of memory. I could have been happy here, if I had come in days of peace." When he says children, he is referring to Aragorn and Gimli, since they are younger than him.

@nekonejilover Yeah, sure, but in this case it was just me messing up totally... my copy of the book was translated monumentally bad and spoke literally of children. The translaters missed what you just pointed out. So it just was all wrong. I now have new books, in english, I might add.

Aragorn LOVES Arwen and Legolas haves children... But it would expain Orlandos short relationship with women if he loved Viggo!

Uh... I donno where you're getting your info, but Legolas definitely didn't have children. He traveled throughout Middle Earth with Gimli, then settled in Ithilien and lived there until Aragorn died, when he sailed West and took Gimli with him. Kthx.

In the second book Legolas sayes that the Fangorn forest is so old that he feels young again, and he haven´t felt young since he was out traveling with his children, so I just assoume that he has children becouse he is saying that. But he is 3000 years old, perhaps their adults and travel to the West whit the ather elves before him. I knew this history I´m a fan and i read the story, but I think that Legolas himself knows what he is speaking about, really

Well lagolas is a prince so it is possible someone else cares for his children, or whatever, but he says himself that he has children, so I guess that he has, but i know myself how easy it is to forget something. The books is long and have much information in them, and some parts is so boring that it is easy to skim them...

I think the images in this are beautiful. I love most of the artists. Zain, and the Theban Band. Theyre amazing. (Not to mention the pairing is one of my favorites of all time.) And you did a good job putting the pics together. Despite what most people here are saying, Legolas is supposed to be beautiful. All elves are painfully beautiful, eve to the point of being feminine. I do not see any problems at all. Anyway, great vid. ^^

For those wondering where the images came from-
Look to the right of F12 on you keyboard- a key that should say Print Screen. Pause the vid on the pic you want, hold the key down for a while, then go to Paint and hit paste. Crop out the unwanted image.
On a more critical note- very nice vid. Glad I found it again. And to flamers- if you don't like it, don't watch it.

I personally look at Gimli as a father figure for Legolas! I mean yes, I sooo understand that he loves the elf too much! Gimli really reminds me of Leggy's father Thranduil, so yeah!
