The difference with that is Paige never took the time to actually get to know Cole and begin to trust him.

Look Who's Barking, she was right that there was still good in Cole. Charmed Again, she was right on where Shax was going to attack Paige.
Common!!! in pre witched she only said a main idea but not the way they were going to kill it ... prue was the one who thought in a spell to kill the warlock, in sight unseen and look who is barking she was so horny about cole that she forgot about her family (cole was never good and prue knew it, paige knew it, everybody knew!), she got upset with prue because the bastard of his bf was trying to steal the book! and in charmed again ... i think she had a premonition (powers doesnt count on this)

All i have to say is that i hate phoebe/alyssa with all my strenght, that cole was never good and that in season3,4,5, whatever ... some1 disliked him for being an ass. (u know it, i know it ... prue rocks, ciao, ciao)
And Prue did genuinely accept him. If she saw no good in Cole still I'm pretty sure she still would have hated him and let it show despite her sister. And she was the one who was happy that he was still being considered good at the end of Exit Strategy.
