Juvenile Rattlesnake BITE!

is this in colorado? i had a friend in boulder who got bit by a rattle snake but it was on his finger and he watched the venom go out of the fangs because they went all the way through his finger. he went to the hospital and found out he wasn't poisoned. true story.

I'd say your friend got off easy in that case.

@miceskin Ouch! Still, I bet he needed a tetanus shot. Anytime you get bit by a reptile deeply enough to draw blood, there's a risk for infection. Had your friend been envenomed that risk would have increased significantly as rattlesnakes have predominately hemotoxic venom (the exception being the Mojave rattler).
