  • I'm loving these hairdo's! No lacefronts or remy, just old school shampoo and blow dry!

  • I put this song up there with Chaka Khan, "I Feel for You."

  • Dnload the audio from this vid at speedyconversion doht cohm.

  • LOVE YOU STACY! One of the BEST singers EVER!

  • Stacey didn't have to take her clothes off like or sell out like some people we see today!!!She was an original "DIVA" It's really sad you have to be a part of "UnderWorld" to be famous!!

  • love this song everyone get that hammer out and nail it to the wall

  • one of the best female voices ever.she is truly annointed

  • is this apollo?

  • i think she just gave up the best female singers in the world didnt show they ass or tits and became music legends and icon IN ALL DECADES regardless of the time period OR the music genre she should have went to another record company and been around people that could her put her in the high stratapher instead they saw her tumble and became yes-men..says uzipolo king of decatur

  • you nailed it stacy!

  • I'm pretty sure that I own the 12 " single of this on vinyl ... Somewhere in

here ... This sounded great blasting at the clubs in 80s Chicago : (

I miss being twentysomething and wild !

  • Could somebody post the original video showing hot ladies and guys building a house or something?

    Thanks!!

  • Lol.

  • hahahahaha!

  • Would someone please post the Lp version of this?

  • She performed "Where do we go from here" on this same show. Does anyone have that performance?

  • @Stunna30: She couldn't have performed "Where Do We Go From Here"; it didn't come out until 1989.

  • Stacy always had the cutiest hair

  • damn it cant find let me be your angel by SL?

  • With a voice like hers, I don't care if Stacy stood still and waved at the crowd *lol*

  • Can she dance? she always seems to do the same step/moves.

  • Look at natalie cole just ass high as kite.

  • Haven't heard this song in a long time. Thanks!

  • hehehehe you are guys crazy

  • This was one of the first episodes of Showtime at the Apollo. I remember this episode because my dad used to record them. Natalie was funny when she hosted the amateur night. How she responded when people the people got booed.

  • I AM SORRY BUT "FEETNICK" she could not touch the GREATNESS of JANET AS A PERFORMER, compare her with someone like Evelyn Champaign King or Ce Ce Peniston............

    I love her though. :)

  • lol

  • Stacy was bad and never got her proper due, and was as good or better than Janet, and she was hott.

  • LOL. Stacy Latisaw could sing her ass but she was never a dancer. And look at Natalie Cole. Just as High as a kite back in the 80's. I love them both Tho. LOL

  • That's probably one of the things that screwed her. Nowadays, a female usually has to be half-naked and practically lap-dancing to sell records - LOL!

But then again, some of the ones who are "hot" now can't sing and have to give a "hooch show" to take your mind off their sorry voices.

  • A hooch show. I love that term LOL

  • I haven't heard this song in a long time. The studio version is the best.

  • Natalie looks like Roxie Roker (Helen Willis on The Jeffersons) here.

  • When was this on tv one?

  • brings back so many memories!!! i had the 12in remix

  • Great song by a great artist! I sure miss those days of great music. The eighties were the best. The seventies were good. The eighties were great! The ninties sucked! The 00's can't get past Britney and her need to run over feet. Let's go back to the eighties, when it was fun to be yourself and dance! We truly need that these days. So many people have aquired a selfish attitude. Let's go back to just having fun! Radio today sucks!

  • very true. but it would have been a lt better music if they had never invented electronic synthesizers. it really took away from the feel of the music.

  • DISSALINE1... I believe the synthesizers brought a new direction to music but unfortunately that's where the plastic began. Up until that point, we did have genuine music from the hearts of the singers and musicians.

  • DISSALINE1...After the eighties, it was more about recording studio singers than real singers who sang from their soul. I followed Olivia Newton-John from the Seventies. She was dropped when she refused to be the plastic whore that the music industry wanted her to be. I'm glad she didn't.

  • She and Stacy have integrity and great character that new artist need today. The eighties were fun but not disastrious. Wish I could go back to the good times of music. Today's artist are more about the recording studio process and overwhelming controversy than the true talent. Hear that radio! Radio sucks!

  • pls do also post LOVE ME LIKE THE FIRST TIME by stacy

  • I didn't expect ANYTHING to come up when I enetred her name - I wish she would record again. Her song "Let Me Take You Down" is some of the most amazing vocals you'll ever hear -

  • I agree she belts that ending out! It's almost shocking how much her voice had changed. But I love that song!

  • is stacey latisaw racially mixed with black and white?

  • I did some research on her. Both parents are black.

  • Her mother was a back up singer for Marvin Gaye. I am a die hard S.L. fan!!!

  • I am a huge fan of Stacy Lattisaw also! and she is FINE...

  • Check out Natalie Cole's shoulder pads!

  • Thank you, thank you, for posiing this. I've always loved Stacy Lattisaw. I just happen to put her name in the search box. I can't believe it. It's been way too long since we've heard anything from her. I wish she woould come out with a new cd.

  • Gotta love the old school.

  • i had the best time dancing to this song!

  • Can somebody also post the music video to this song? I love this record.

  • i like this song from her take me all the way album from 1986 stacy can blow she should come back.

  • She's married and performing Gospel music now. I hear that she and her husband own a recording studio in Washington DC. Her mother used to sing with Marvin Gaye in high school. Nick Cannon & Nevia sampled her hit Let Me Be Your Angel for their single "Main Girl" which is on his 2003 self-titled release

  • Nail it to the damn wall then girl!!!

  • Brett Nugent is the dancer with the black and white shirt. You can find him on myspace. You'll have to search him, as I can't post the link on here.

  • Man, Stacey was the girl back in the day. I miss her, too! But with all her talent, she couldn't make it now. Now, all the girl singers look & sound the same; that is, half-naked and tone deaf. Guess they have to take our minds off how bad most of them sound.

  • ay there go my boo boo i love u stacy lattisaw.represent DC

  • Her voice is magic, and she's so adorable--I'd love to see any clips of her singing "Let Me Be Your Angel"

  • I loved Stacy's hair back then & her voice speaks for its self ,go Stay Lattisaw from DC

  • I miss this woman so much. She was & still is my fav child singer of all time. Before there was a Shanice, Tracie, Tevin, Brandy, Monica, Beyonce, there was Stacy. RESPECT!!!!

  • You're absolutely right about that. The problem with today's music is that they don't show respect to the originals. If it wasn't for Stacy Lattisaw, there will be no Shanice, Tracie Spencer, Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, Tevin Campbell, Brandy, Aaliyah (RIP), Monica, Usher, and Beyonce.

  • Ohhhhh there go my high school girlfriend doin her thing!!!!

  • Good performance, but the crowd looked dead.

  • WOW! I remember this performance! as usual I was glued to the t.v.!
