When the booster accelerates the grenade, the primer cap tends to retain its current position, since the firing pin is moving with the grenade and runs with primer igniting the delay charge the delay then burns down and detonates the petard in an incredibly small explosion that in turn ignites the rocket motor the proppelled grenade would be at least 11m from the tube by now. Now i am truly doubting the legitimacy of this video.

a 120m/s force is probably 3x the force of an airsoft gun(360 fps pretty much a mid grade airsoft gun) its nothing able to blow someone away. Use your fucking brains

@101andrewj rpg 7 is the older one and i just outlined how the round works with the tube. That may have been one faulty tube or this video is fake. Besides rpg doesnt make a noise when the trigger is pulled and the round leaves the tube at 2 second latency if it was real the guy shouldnt have been in the back of the rpg and if he did get blown back its nothing that could kill and nothing that could injure besides mentally. Faulty equipment doesnt account for the training of the soldiers.

@FoolFosten another thing is that the explosion from the petard wouldnt occur until the proppelled grenade would be approximately 11m from the tube, the tube only contains a sustainer motor which helps the booster behind the round eject the round at a muzzle velocity of 120m/s and so since there is an equal force on the other side
a 120m/s force is probably 3x the force of an airsoft gun(360 fps pretty much a mid grade airsoft gun) its nothing able to blow someone away. Use your fucking brains

@AvtomatPruneJuice its not fake, older RPGS have a massive explosive backblast, and that dumb iraqi was standing right behind the RPG when it fired, if these guys wer trained better, that never would of happened... there is also new RPGS with water in the back of it that weakens the backblast to non lethal so the RPG can even be fired from inside of a vehicle

@101andrewj rpg 7 is the older one and i just outlined how the round works with the tube. That may have been one faulty tube or this video is fake. Besides rpg doesnt make a noise when the trigger is pulled and the round leaves the tube at 2 second latency if it was real the guy shouldnt have been in the back of the rpg and if he did get blown back its nothing that could kill and nothing that could injure besides mentally. Faulty equipment doesnt account for the training of the soldiers.

Those are Iraqi soldiers, not Iranian. You can tell by the uniforms and equipment. The fact that they actually have proper equipment and uniforms(Iranians looked more like "Confederates"), and just physically by the way they "look." The only reason this video keeps labeling the victim as "Iranian" is because it took place during the Iran-Iraq War, and some idiot in the U.S Army put together a training video that labeled the guy "Iranian." That is where this video is pulled from.

Only Iraqis used Soviet helmets.The Iranians used American WWII style "M1" helmets, when they even had helmets on at all. The majority of footage of Iranian soldiers during the Iran-Iraq war shows very few helmets after 1982 or so. More "karate style" headbands than helmets, in fact. Case closed.
