I think the largest problem with communism and democracy is that communism requires the full cooperation of it's citizens. That means everyone will look for jobs with large monopolies. Capitalism you lets you seek a job with a number of employers or you become your own employer, start your own enterprise. So their is room for a variety of options and you need to make it work for yourself.

I think the largest problem with communism and democracy is that communism requires the full cooperation of it's citizens. That means everyone will look for jobs with large monopolies. Capitalism you lets you seek a job with a number of employers or you become your own employer, start your own enterprise. So their is room for a variety of options and you need to make it work for yourself.

This is the classical misconception: The USSR was nationalist. Communism is utter freedom. In communism, there is no such thing as a "state", or a "party". In true communism, everyone has equal rights, and the right to directly vote on laws instead of voting on people who then vote on laws. Thus, USSR was basically the opposite of communist. Just because it called itself communist, it doesn't mean it *was* communist. I mean, I can say I'm Johnny Depp, but that doesn't mean I *am* Johnny Depp.

We, Americans, have a clearer distinction between right and left. In the European version the left and right can both be advocates of total government control with differences in who is helped and who is hurt by the economic system...In America the far "right" of the political spectrum would be no government, or anarchy...The far "left" of our, more logical, spectrum would be absolute government control.
People like me don't like being controlled by aristocrats for the little guy or the rich.

The people behind the scenes of the Democrat party are communists or those who lean in that direction. The people behind the scenes of the Republicans are essentially identifical to the Founding Fathers vision of laissez-faire, Christian and government limited to only the bare essentials. We are the polar opposite of socialism...Unfortunately the Republican party is full of power hungry cowards who are so desperate to retain power that they compete with the socialists with government largesse.

What are you talking about? The fundamental components of fascism and communism are exactly the same. Total government control. Communists didn't care about the poor and neither did communists. Communists use class warfare rhetoric as a tool, so this lie that they were somehow anti-aristocrat is simply horseshit...They may have been against the existing aristocracy, but they quickly positioned themselves as the aristocracy.

Communists may have went about their ultimate policy differently, albeit with the exact same outcome. Fascists were intelligent enough to realize the fundamental superioriity of the capitalist system. However, capitalism was an absolutely controlled tool of the fascists. You had no option but to bend your knee to the fascists or die. Party loyalty was rewarded, just like in communism, and the party were the aristocracy. They were essentially identical.

Communism and fascism are essentially identical. The differences are few. Communism believed in "internationalism", but world domination and control. Fascists believed in nationalism, but world domination and control. Both were strongly nationalistic...The only real difference is Hitler killed people for both ideology and religion, whereas the Stalinists would kill people for political dissent primarily.
