We are reading the book right now, and enjoying it. There are many positive ways to teach, but they all need to include respect for the child. Rafe obviously has that, and the energy and passion that define great teaching. We are working on a film that follows a year in a classroom showing one version of teaching the whole child, and creating that joy of learning. I've posted a video response that shows a sample of what that classroom (and the public school it is part of) looks like.
He tells that story in every one of his speeches, haha. As well as a few other staple ones. Rafe always changed the names though, except for one girl I think.
I'm just reading he's book. It's great! grat tips.
